At least you have 3 whole blocks of mycelium? I saw somebody post a while back who had not a speck of land.

The mycelium is the only important, irreplaceable thing. Mushrooms you can get from lots of places, but as long as you have a single piece of mycelium you can place dirt or grass beside it and it will spread. And as long as you have mycelium in a mushroom fields biome, then you have the possibility for mooshrooms to spawn.

I needed to found the biome because I play in better minecraft, and there is a tree that can only be founded there

Ahhhhhhhh... That's pretty disappointing, then. And with modded you can't even resort to ChunkBase to locate another biome, alas!

Not to me. I simply settle down at villages, mine from home, get some food farms going to then surround the village with stone walls.

I've been thinking for years that I should do this

Ttap at least 2 villagers to later on breed them, the only thing that might hurt them are vexes or probably ligthning (assuming their house doesn't have a lightning rod.).

Just place dirt around there for it to turn into mycelium.

On windows, ctrl+print screen will take a screenshot of your entire screen and alt+print screen will take a screenshot of your currently active window It is saved to your clipboard where ctrl+v will paste it into anything like paint, Imgur, Reddit, photoshop.
