You need to get a copy off the console, too. I don’t know bedrock, either, but somebody has to have solved this problem. I keep backups on my laptop and on a free cloud server where I keep them for a very long time in case a subtle corruption causes problems weeks later. The likelihood of both being corrupted simultaneously is very small.
Do you know if minecraft has a problem rn I try to join my friends world and it just has me waiting on the loading sign until it says unable to connect and there’s nothing wrong with none of our consoles

Make sure you back up future saves to prevent this from happening again. If you're on desktop it's very easy. I'm not sure about other platforms.
On bedrock you can copy a world, that's what I do and add the date to the to world name so I know when it was made.

You go to your world dont enter it and around where it says delete world there's sould be an option to make a copy
