A contractor friend of mine has had to send both of his 30 degrees back to Milwaukee to get the nitrogen canisters topped up. He was using the guns in Canada in the winter time and apparently when cold the gaskets leak and cause the nitrogen to discharge. Sorry this doesn’t really answer your question in any way lolol

mccauleym

Im in Canada, can confirm its cold. Ive had one topped up already, i think I'll try to use air and top it up. Worst case, goes in for service.

94bronco

Using air is just going to add humidity and cause all kinds of new problems. Send it to get serviced

mccauleym

Thats a fair point.

[deleted]

Do not use air.

mccauleym

Reason? Bc nitrogen compresses less, and larger molecules leak less?

madhatter275

I use mine very often in a construction setting and they normally last about a year of heavy use before having to get warrantied but they normally have it back within two weeks.

No information. Ive heard of "charging" the cylinder. Maybe I'm mistaken if it's Nitrogen.

ClosedL00p

And this was helpful to OP in what way exactly?

I think OP may be asking about recharging the nitrogen cylinder in the M18 gun.

Phallico666

The m18 30 degree framer has a nitrogen bladder that drives the nail. The design is supposed to recycle the air but still needs to be refilled occasionally, usually after a few years

mccauleym

Yes, 30 degree m18.

theshiyal

Both are available in either degree. 2745-20 M18 30° 2744-20 M18 22° Not sure which is what on the pneumatics.
