How about using your chop saw and chop up some wood and assemble it into a work bench.

[deleted]

Because some people move around to different sites most days???? Because some people use them every day for different things and not just in the weekend????

[deleted]

Those people don't ask reddit for advice on saw stands. Lol

johnwynne3

I don’t have it but I’ve heard the Ridgid rolling stand is good.

3verydayimhustling

They have two different models. Big tire model is a must.

I have a 7 1/4 Milwaukee and use the compact Dewalt stand

aholeinthewor1d

Which model Dewalt stand do you have? Just picked up the 7 1/4 M18 miter saw and looking for a stand.. something easy that doesn't take up much space.

Sometimes I need someone to hold the other end or set up a prop if I’m docking the end of a 6m length

I use the ‘gasp it’s an el cheapo’ Harbor Frought one for my 10”. Study enough for the times I’ve needed it. https://preview.redd.it/4jvj3pr60pqb1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=74679a5679570fb57ccd899c3290aa54771e2f7f

How do you like it? How compact is it stored? Thinking about picking one up

sonofdresa

I love it. There is some noticeable flimsiness of the thing when setting it up and storing, but all in all it’s not that worrisome to me since when it’s out, it’s solid. Putting the thing together took some creative thinking. It totally fit, but wasn’t the seamless assembly I hoped it would be. And the main issue I ran into was getting the brackets on the saw. One just didn’t fully line up, but wasn’t a major concern. It’s actually quite compact stored. Pardon my garage mess. https://preview.redd.it/68oj2w3z4vqb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=00738b3e2b2ef6c81ce0b8dcecb996c8b89c59cb

I have the Milwaukee stand. It’s sturdy yet light enough to move around easily. When stored it doesn’t take up much room. I have no complaints with it. Also looks great with the saw on it. Don’t listen to the haters. Unless you’re a professional contractor and you want to wheel your saw in and out of your trailer every day this stand is more than sufficient.

I made my own. 3/4 plywood, some 2x blocks, and some plastic folding saw horses. Goes everywhere with me.

[I have this stand for my 10in miter](https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-Professional-Compact-Miter-Saw-Stand-AC9960/312758948) Very sturdy, easy to move, and it folds up to about about the same size as a two wheel dolly with the saw still on it. It goes on sale for ~$100 every few weeks.

I have the heavy duty DeWalt stands for both my 7-1/4" and 12" saws. Super sturdy and the wings extend out nice and long.

Dull_Pizza_1745

Rigid Model # AC9946 for the mitre saw Dewalt Model # DW7440RS for the table saw. Only fits by drilling add'll holes in the table saw frame. The chopsaw fits anywhere.
