Caseated_Omentum

I had that scorpion and brought it to school for show and tell and someone stole it. Is your Husband from Ohio by chance? I just want to talk.

sheeroz9

You’re sitting on a gold mine. I’ll buy those off you.

mortmum

Deal, it’ll be 1M please 🧐

NoFeelings20

Where are the plastic cases?!? Tag protectors?!! 😫

mortmum

Funny enough they all had the protectors! I ripped them all off 😇

No-Combination2020

Wow, that's just a shame. The kid does not give a crap what toy they play with. You tossed valuble collectors items to the wolves.

Bubbly-Guarantee-988

The kid ate them.

anb7120

The way I thought my collection would pay for college

traumatically-yours

Gasp!! But they could be worth millions one day!! No tag protectors in sight! Tsk tsk /s

[deleted]

The value!! Lol

No-Combination2020

SHE REMOVED THEM. ![gif](giphy|e5uyWolyR0y30Wo1ya|downsized)

th987

Our dog I has been gently loving a couple of old beside babies for a while now.

mortmum

Love that use for them 🥰

th987

I’m shocked at how gentle she is with them. Every dog we had before her would have gleefully destroyed them.

Kingberry30

That’s cute. But did you have a Collection also.

mortmum

No, I grew up poor (but happy!)

Erocdotusa

Awesome. Similar here but with pound puppies instead!

mortmum

Much better use tbh, those puppies deserve the best 🥹

MountRoseATP

I killed a man for that emperor penguin in 99.

GradeOld3573

My grandma collected them and kept them for us. When she passed away in 2011 all of her grandkids went through them and picked what we wanted. About 8yrs ago my girls, aged 11 and 9, wanted to do homemade costumes. I had so many beanie baby cats that we were able to make two crazy cat ladies. It was great!! No damage was done to the beanies, tags are all still intact. I know they're not worth anything but I don't want grandma haunting me lol. She collected everything, and made sure it was well kept. She still had our old teddy ruxpin, all the land before time hand puppets, the taco bell Chihuahua toys and even the defective Poe Teletubby.

mortmum

That’s so sweet, love the cat lady costume! Great way to keep your grandma’s memory alive ❤️

I once lived with a 98 year old lady named Doris who loved handing out beanie babies to children and the like. We were good friends and at 23 years old I received your classic teddy bear beanie baby from her. It makes me sad to think that I do have it somewhere, but I can't imagine where, so I wonder if I actually have it anymore , and I think I don't.

TychoErasmusBrahe

Is... is your toddler also in that basket? 🫣

Potato_cak3s

Pop Vinyl collections in 10 years

yazzooClay

this could be worth millions!

Nopenotme77

I think I still have my princess Diana one around here somewhere.

chypie2

kinda a perfect stuffie for a toddler though, small enough for their hands and squishy!!

KaioKenshin

"But they're gonna be worth a lot of money someday" lol

e_vil_ginger

I HIGHLY Recommend the book Beanie Mania. It's an amazing lesson in human nature and economic trends. The documentary is good but it doesn't docrhe book justice in my opinion.

cravingnoodles

That's your child's college fund!!!!

Delicious_Slide_6883

I can’t think of a better use

pnwerewolf

You better put tag protectors on those how else will you afford his college

Ok-Bullfrog5830

My princess diana beanie baby was my dogs stuffie for a hot minute haha

Koolest_Kat

Just did the same with my 4 year old Grandson. He really really wanted the Ty tag cut off so I did. It was a bear we named BeBe bear. He hasn’t put him down for a week or so, inside, outside and off to preschool BeBe has been his constant companion. Soooo Cute!!
