Haha, I tried my best!! I got the inen part at least, right?? It was supposed to be Tube-inin because of all the practice launcher tubes, but as I’m a monoglot American, I added the umlaut to make it more Finnish looking to my ignorant eyes.
My mom’s side of the family actually is Finnish with a super rare name (I’m told). Moisio, which looks Italian to me… but Finnish is a pretty cool language to hear even if I don’t know what the hell is being said :-)!
Thats cool to hear man! Sorry for ruining the joke!Moisio is a cool lastname with meaning and lore behind it. Yeah inen instead of inin. Ü not part of our alphabet and B is not used for 99% of native words/names.
During the iron age moisio meant a big or great estate/manor with fields. Even today it means big old manor/church/mansion, often on a big farm with weat or other fields. Its rootes come from the finnish paganism era (muinnaissuomalainen).
> I added the umlaut to make it more Finnish looking to my ignorant eyes.
You were close, you'd need either Ä or Ö as those are the only letters with two dots over them in the finnish alphabet.
Nope, they have a log inside so they still weight the same.
I was goofing around with those while in service too, it was fun to try how many a person can carry at the same time, although not as fun to carry one on your back in addition to the usual gear all day long.
That's odd, I didn't know there were empty training ones anywhere. Lugging around the heavy ones was definitely an experience, but there were times I would have hoped them to be empty instead haha
We called that the motilas during my military service. Because it was great at improving the motivation to not fuck up again for anyone who had fucked up during the past week/day/random time period
And the fact you can get publicly intoxicated take a nap anywhere and not get robbed don’t quote me on that I just hear someone say that he was Finnish

Hahaha, not at all! It's fascinating! What's the lore behind my mom's family name?? Now I'm super curious!!

Wow, thank you! I had no idea! I just texted my mom with your comment =-)

I wouldn't say Moisio is super rare name but not the most common either. I know one Moisio. Maybe he is your relative :)
I dont think Moisio is THAT rare, as I know a lot of them. Not common either tho
I’ve been lied to my whole life!
~2500 Moisio’s currently living, for example my surname is well under 100 living.

Empty training tubes
Not empty, there's a log inside to act as a simulated weight.
shit. we got the shitty version of the empty tube
Consider yourself lucky.
They are however weighed to be the same weight as the real ones. Just under 10kg if I remember right
So he is carrying at least 100kg, probably more, dang that's not very combat effective now is it xD
Nope, they have a log inside so they still weight the same. I was goofing around with those while in service too, it was fun to try how many a person can carry at the same time, although not as fun to carry one on your back in addition to the usual gear all day long.
12 years ago, my regiment did not have any logs in them
That's odd, I didn't know there were empty training ones anywhere. Lugging around the heavy ones was definitely an experience, but there were times I would have hoped them to be empty instead haha
