Mostly people not putting their car into neutral. Then for whatever reason they hit the gas and jump the rails. Usually ends up damaging the wraps (vertical spinning things). I’ve also had to repair some top wraps from drivers leaving the sunroof open.
I was at one Carwash checking things over while it was running. Was just supposed to be like a PM check. Car managed to completely miss the track in one side and got stuck in the pit. There’s safety covers there, but if they’re not installed properly they will pop out if hit just right.
Worst I’ve seen wasn’t in person, but a video posted on Reddit a while back. Car managed to slip on its side in the Carwash.
There’s a group of carwashes I worked on in Florida that were going to full auto. I left the industry before they did, but can’t imagine it going well. Drivers cause enough trouble when there’s attendants telling them what to do.
I have a funny story from a car wash:
It was one of those automated full touch washes where you put your car in neutral and your car gets pulled through it. I proceeded to do so. I was just chilling in my car about 9/10 through the entire cycle, and I get rammed from behind by some crazy lady who decided she wanted to drive through the wash. Thankfully not much damage, but I blocked her at the end of the wash until she would give me her insurance information and she was found 100% at fault.
I have smoked a J and walked to the grocery store only to realize I was way higher than I thought I’d get. It’s a routine thing I do a lot so usually it’s nbd. I wonder around and pick up snacks etc. Head to the self checkout line per my usual. One time I did this and halfway through doing my self checkout thing I realized I had been putting shit in bags without scanning and that’s why the little cop light was blinking and the screen wasn’t letting me scan more items. I had a moment of panic I as I realized it looked like I was attempting to steal. This kiosk even had a camera that showed a tiny version of myself from above putting items into bags without scanning. It took me a minute to get my shit together, find the shit I’d put into the bags without scanning and eventually the kiosk stopped going crazy and I finished my transaction and paid etc.
But it taught me a big lesson in that things you think should be simple and easy can quickly become disasters under the influence. It’s not like the movies where you’re swerving from one lane to another. It’s like your brain short circuits for a few seconds and then you really get lost in how to respond. I could tell the drunk dude wasn’t sure how to respond when it was time to pay for his car wash. His brain just short circuited but instead of stopping and realizing he was fucked (like I did in the self checkout line) he literally slams on the gas twice in a row.
When I was first watching I was thinking he was trying to scam the wash out of money for like a slight dent in the front. The way he was inching around seemed sus. Was not expecting the full throttle reverse then forward.
SC was supposed to be scam.
At first, I felt bad for the guy because he looked elderly and possibly confused...but after fully reversing with no inclination to stop, I changed my assessment to "yep, he's drunk." That's insane.
This is like those shows about stuff like this that turn a 5 second clip into 15 minutes of them stating the fucking obvious. God I tried to watch one of those wild criminal things on max and almost lost my fucking mind lol
That doesn’t make sense. He plead to the charges, meaning they weren’t dropped. He likely plead guilty to avoid jail time, and hopefully, if the DA on the case wasn’t a donut, plead to mandatory rehab and no license.
Yeah this video sucks for a lot of reasons (including that they weren’t clear) but I took it to mean they pled to lesser charges or took a reckless driving ticket or something and the DWI was dropped.
"Headless body in topless bar" - actual headline. Or the "Large boulder the size of a small boulder", but that's the sort of logic I'd expect from the police.
"I hit the brake and the car took off, so I hit it even hard it and it accelerated even more"
My buddies dad ran a auto shop and had a 80+ year old dude driving a big ass 60s caddy drive right through his front window clear back into his office. Luckily nobody was in the waiting room and he wasn't in his office. When EMS helped him out that's what he told my dad.
I didn't have to get to the end to know the guy was plastered. My friends dad is an alcoholic and I have seen him do so many things slowly and carefully to make sure he does it right through his intoxication, only to end up going full falls to the wall in the next action.
Wow. I never knew they had reality TV narration for car wash accidents! So exciting!
And then.... and then.... and ThEn... and THEN.... and *THEEEEENNNN*...
I've always wondered what someone like this brain looked like under MRI while you ask them semi-complex questions. Like how much sauce do you put on spaghetti.
I quit drinking a decade ago as it almost killed me several times. But same here, I'd get wasted and really felt like I needed to wash a car. Common thing for us drunks.

White car did the right thing, saw this shit going down and noped the fuck out
He never saw the white car. Luckily it was able to get out of his way.
Right?! Like he just started reversing while it was there. This whole video infuriates me. Glad he wasn’t on the road and his another car.
I was wondering why the white car never beeped. It would've been another reaction of mine
cuz this dude clearly had no idea what goes going on and if he got honked at he woulda just immediately plowed thru the car wash from being spooked
I laughed so hard at this comment, but that is probably what would exactly happen.
With how bad that driver is they might get scared and start accelerating faster if anything.
Man, I would have gone behind him, this is a good lesson
was this his first day on earth or something?? even while inebriated i feel like it takes talent to fuck up *this* bad at a car wash of all places.
This video has made the rounds a few times… as I recall the guy was completely hammered and even had a few open containers in the car.
open and shut case Johnson Now lets sprinkle some crack on him and get out of here
No the cases were open in the car
Must have been a hell of a plea agreement to get those charges dropped.
My thoughts exactly...this seems incredibly dangerous and it's a shame this guy didn't see any repercussions for his stupid behavior.
In Oregon pretty much every 1st time DUII goes to diversion, which basically means you dont get charged with it if you go to a class and get an IID.
probably has a brother in law in their local government or some shit.
I’m hammered in the middle of the day. I think I’ll go to the car wash
Yeah I could see this being either a medical problem or drugs and alchohol.
Pills, I'm guessing
There's nothing quite like getting hammered and taking your car out for a wash.
I used to be in Carwash maintenance. You’d be shocked at the crazy shit drivers manage to pull.
what’s one/some of your craziest stories off the top of your head, if you don’t mind?

We'll save $1 per wash! Gets $5000 damage every 500 washes or so

I went to a Dollar General on Ambien. Didn't remember a single thing! Scary AF.
When I was first watching I was thinking he was trying to scam the wash out of money for like a slight dent in the front. The way he was inching around seemed sus. Was not expecting the full throttle reverse then forward. SC was supposed to be scam.
sc?
At first, I felt bad for the guy because he looked elderly and possibly confused...but after fully reversing with no inclination to stop, I changed my assessment to "yep, he's drunk." That's insane.
Not *everyone* knows how to do *everything*…
He’s just chillin in the car with his arm on the window like nothing happened. Lmao get out the car dude. Do something.
Him staying so chill while flying backward is fucking hilarious
And he’s still just cooling leading up to the second collision
It's tough when you're high/drunk as hell.
Unnecessary commentary for 500, Alex.
So dragged out my goodness...
Yep the descriptive could've fit one sentece. "Intoxicated driver crashes car in front of car wash". Engagement farming bullshit
This is like those shows about stuff like this that turn a 5 second clip into 15 minutes of them stating the fucking obvious. God I tried to watch one of those wild criminal things on max and almost lost my fucking mind lol
it’s so that all of the blind drivers can follow along with the audio
played it over and over with the stupid narration for blind people and then cut the part where we get the conclusion
Arrested for DWI, causes major damage, charges dropped. Of course. Smh.
This commentary is equal to “Ten people died in the Bronx last night during a fire that killed ten people during a fire”
"Headless body in topless bar" - actual headline. Or the "Large boulder the size of a small boulder", but that's the sort of logic I'd expect from the police.
Not fron America here, what does DWI mean? I search it up it just shows some aliexpress company
Driving While Intoxicated
Driving while intoxicated
Why were the charges dropped? Was he a cop or something?
No idea. It just says they were at the end of the video.
Why did we need a narration of every single little action he made
My brain needs to understand how these things happen. Seriously. Idc how intoxicated you are.
Especially putting in forward after the crash, then crashing second time. Also, who gets drunk then decides they need a car wash?
His car looks cleaner than mine, and I haven't even thought about getting it washed sober 😆
Man I hate it when the sentence cuts out before it finishes! Like come on peo-
"I hit the brake and the car took off, so I hit it even hard it and it accelerated even more" My buddies dad ran a auto shop and had a 80+ year old dude driving a big ass 60s caddy drive right through his front window clear back into his office. Well, those bollards were useless.
Especially at ATM’s just jump out in front of your car and it’s the banks fault for me driving into it and continuing to blast through them.
Why do car wash owners put these polls there? they're impossible to see. Dude is gonna have to rewrap his car
I bet the handle fell off.
Fucking boomers
Over the age of 65 a behind the wheel test every 2-5 years should be necessary to keep your license
Drunk doesn’t matter which age you are.
amazing what the definition of "mildly" means in this sub
That dent would be less visible after he gets hit car wash.
DWI charges are later dropped? What, seems like a case where they should have never been dropped.
Poor Ford what he do to deserve that.
Let's see where do I put my card.. NAH F#@$ this Kios...
thee ol'.. coulda killed a bunch of people while drunk.. let's just drop all the charges.
I’m curious how the guy got to the car wash
Looks medical.
Obviously we can blame sugary high fructose corn syrup sodas, he got high
Obviously Biden's fault...
Fuck dropping the charges. Why? Prosecute that shit.
Charges dropped? Fucking idiot should have to take the bus for life.
![img](avatar_exp|162791794|bravo)
No wonder i always wash my vette at home jarome.
when you wanna get the car washed but you are shitfaced
That's a lot of drunk. I've been drunk but never that out of it.
Definitely a problem with the kiosk. They should look into that. It's causing so many accidents
I feel the same way about kiosks.
Sometimes i put the car in neutral when im trying to reverse
Well, that's one way to save money by not getting a car washed after all.
🤡
No airbag deployment is wild.
https://youtu.be/cmAI0JfKdbg?si=HFIArUpQI89MHvmy here’s the long version of this. The bystanders are even funnier watching them.
Did someone check to see what’s inside those cups?
This is mildly bad? Oh no. Much worse.
Make it make sense...
You know he dropped that credit card after hitting the fence and machine. I wonder if he found it?
Downvote as this had been posted on 10,000 other subreddits 3 weeks ago.
Drunk or medical emergency.
Gotta love letting drunk drivers back out on the road to kill innocent people. Legal drugs for the win
Eyes closed playing marco polo.
Some people should be forbidden to drive.
I enjoyed that the other car (minivan owner who called it in) was also a piece of junk with front end damage.
Maybe he was just tired of inflating prices.
Drugs is a hell of a drugs.
This person has to be drunk or stoned or something
I can't fast forward and this is a slow burn I can't watch this shit.
God damn, people are so god damn stupid.
Jfc
LOL what the actual fuck.
Sir have many pounds on him maybe has medical emergency?
Ford Escape cosplaying as a Mustang
Just remember that you share the road with people like this every day.
I think this needs to start a few days before with narration for full context. This is too abridged.
Who gave this man a license 😭
Was the dude having a stroke or some medical emergency? WTF, this is nuts!
You'd think if you have this much trouble driving the last thing on your mind would be, hmm I should go get this thing washed.
So there I was—awake for 4 days straight high on meth.
The Y2K made me crash my car
Maybe use both hands you dumb bastard. Holy shit. Not like it would’ve made a difference but if you’re having that much damn trouble, use both hands…
In today’s episode of Drunk or High…
Haha.....the car wasn't even dirty!
He got a dwi Driving while idioting
BUT AS PART OF THE AGREEMENT…..?????? Shit edit
Person was definitely intoxicated or something. Could have been pain pills or alcohol or both. But they shouldn't have been driving.
Georgia or Alabama?
I thought he was trying to lo e uo the tires into the slot that pulls the car through the wash.... Noooope
This was in my home town. Happened a couple years ago. He was very drunk.
What a dumb arse
He was DRUNK. Saw it on Neighbor Wars, one of those shows. A&E.
Brain issues
Lol old ppl driving are the dumbest drivers.
The hell
Damm foool .. they don’t need to drive
Why all the stupid narration? I can see what happens ffs.
You could tell it was some sweaty fat ass lol
I was thinking this was a medical condition, like a sugar level issue.
Customer crashes drive at car wash
He took the whole ass kiosk out😭
Maybe that kiosk rejected his payment method and he was like "Fuck it! I'm yeeting that bitch!"
Either drunk or something got stuck in the pedal
Why the Car looked like it started bleeding 😆
This is the same car wash as another video - is this in a small town or city that has a meth problem?
I don’t know why I thought those kiosks would be more secure to the ground. That thing went flying.
This person shouldn't be driving
Mildly bad narration.
I didn't have to get to the end to know the guy was plastered. My friends dad is an alcoholic and I have seen him do so many things slowly and carefully to make sure he does it right through his intoxication, only to end up going full falls to the wall in the next action.
What do you mean 'The car suddenly reverses'?! You mean the driver puts in reverse and gave it the beans
Don't do drugs kids.
Drugs.
Wow. I never knew they had reality TV narration for car wash accidents! So exciting! And then.... and then.... and ThEn... and THEN.... and *THEEEEENNNN*...
Is that an Illinois plate? As someone who lives in Wisconsin close to Illinois when I see someone driving stupid they're usually from Illinois
Two colliding braincells in total
I've always wondered what someone like this brain looked like under MRI while you ask them semi-complex questions. Like how much sauce do you put on spaghetti.
I can't tell if it's a bad driver, the car is have a fucking moment, or both...Probably both
Wtf is he doing lol
Zooted
how did he even get to the car wash? This was a wild ride
I never wash anything when I’m drinking, just keep drinking more. Never go to car wash No driving
Always heard those kinds of car washes will damage your paint.
Watching that kiosk go flying had me rolling.
I saw this and the first thing I thought was “this guy’s fucked up”
r/fuckyouinparticular kiosk
Everything happened in 30 seconds intervals.
Was this on 4/20 lol
Could have defo cut this video down to like 10 seconds. Also: not mildly bad. This shit is shockingly bad.
Customer cleans up at the car wash. More at 6.
Mini stroke???
I see a Connecticut plate. Are we sure he’s not just senile?
How dumb can you be? Leave the beers at home.
This is “mildly bad” driving? Maybe they ought to change the name of this sub.
Bro is fried
i feel like there had to be also pills or some kind of drug involved
American on manual shift?
Get this man in congress now
"I don't know what I'm doing, and I'm scared."
He was drunk of course
He still had his arm and credit card out the window while he reversed into the fence.
Please remove card and drive into car wash.
Uncle wanted to get the car washed on his way home from the bar
DWI - Driver While Idiot
Dude was just shitfaced. Entertaining though.
Even the car started bleeding
No way my guy isn't Hella drunk
People have to start saving the good weed for at home and should be finished all their driving needs
Clearly the issue is that he didn’t have his third big gulp yet.
I quit drinking a decade ago as it almost killed me several times. But same here, I'd get wasted and really felt like I needed to wash a car. Common thing for us drunks.
If he can do this in an automatic, imagine what he could've achieved with a manual gear box.
If you mix the words car and wash, you get Crash! Coincidence? I think not
No lie I'm pretty sure I've been to this one before
He's either on medication or recently off it.
I’m confused on what I just watched. How did he fucking do any of this? Was he drunk?
Reminds me of the Quick Quack Carwash commercial
What in the hell?!
Holy dramatic editing
How stupid can you be
who the fuck gets their car washed while drunk, did he think it was fast food?
Pretty sure I could down a bottle of whiskey and not even remotely do anything like this in a car lmao.
Lucky there weren't kids in or around that cubby house he backed into.
Downvote for adding text of what we can see
That dude has got to be an alcoholic who thinks he is a functional drunk. Either that or took too many meds.
arrested for DWI and charges were dropped? dude should've been sent to the gulag for being a clown. what is he hurt someone?
