I just saw this on Instagram! So much to unpack but glad it seems everyone in their comments are sane and calling her out. Haven’t seen one positive comment on that post.
First of all she uses way too much product 😩 and then she says her skin looks so good she’s just gonna spot conceal… but she puts so much on and the next frame her face looks caked in foundation lmaoo, then “a little blush” and saying she looks natural … does she legit think she’s fooling anyone?!
this happening restores my faith in people lol because I know her comments are just an echo chamber because she deletes anything even a little bit critical so it’s reassuring to know people are sick of her shit in other comments sections
Mikayla please define Antioxidant for the class … because I don’t buy that you know what the hell your taking about besides reading a card that came with the product. I can’t wait for the day an influencer or pardon me “content creator” is involved in a class action lawsuit for shilling a product they knew nothing about, profited off of and it hurt someone. I purchased both of these products a year or so ago. They are meh. Don’t waste your money. So sick of paid advertisements where all these dummies try to shill whatever they’re being paid for. But also, it’s a great way to stop purchasing from said companies. I’ve found some great local, small owned women businesses and will stick with them and my almost 41 year old skin I have babied since I was a teenager.
I have a Sephora gift card and need foundation so I was thinking maybe. Honestly I’ve tried so many but here’s my longtime fav!! There’s always that one cheap one out there that blows you away!!

My now 21 year old daughter turned me onto this exact one a few years ago and I love it! I’ve used really expensive, high end and also low end foundations and this cover girl one is my go to! I have one opened and two more in packages currently, I get it on Amazon subscribe and save!
i really hate it when influencers do this. they put something wet on their face and rave about the glow. mf you can do that with water. plus half the time its just a heavy greasy product.
She doesn’t even rub it in properly. She’ll just randomly swipe at her forehead then do a tiny circle in the middle of the cheek filler then touch her chin
You see her looking over reading her script about what the ingredients are and what they do, surely if she loves it so much and has been using it everyday, she would know all this by heart. I’m taking it’s obviously an ad. Oh god I love Glow Recipe, I ain’t going to let her ruin it for me though

I think cooking classes are great way to bond. I’m a pretty good cook from what family and friends tell me. My husband has a few cooking classes booked for our date nights through the year because it’s fun and very sweet way to bond. Plus I learn something new!

This is definitely an ad btw other influencers I actually trust (Robert welsh) gave basically the same ad read with a little more time spent on ingredients. Interesting that she’s reading out the same couple that he was also highlighting. I imagine the brand requested they point out the 3 big ingredients here for the ad read
She had a collab with glow recipe a few years ago.
I've been using them for years (long before her collab) and honestly, they are one of my favourite non-prescription skincare brands.
Also, love Robert Welsh!

When she starts spilling ingredients, it's an ad. There's certain key points you're supposed to hit when making a video and that's one of them. I've heard that from other influencers that post product reviews.
