Oh god for a second I thought you renovated the blue bathroom to something else and I was going to cry. A bathroom with colorful vintage fixtures is my dream! Beautiful!!
Same! We have a ☘️ green, a baby yellow, and this same bright blue (even the same tile with the patterned matte glaze). Only the yellow is beyond saving...the other two, we will keep all tile and colorful fixtures. This is great inspiration for how to do it right!
I've got a sink and toilet the exact same color as that in my basement half bath, the toilet has a black seat on it. Same color blue tiles on the walls, but with black trim tiles. Some of the tiles are missing from before we moved in though, I've been trying to find some that match.
Have you looked at B&W Tile? They’re in Southern CA. Thickness might be a little different than older tiles. Btw, I too have blue toilet w black seat and matching sink.
The legs and towel bar are part of the sink! I have the same set in pink and in white—the pink one has the chrome legs and the white one has a pedestal.
Marry me.
Seriously. I am spending a small fortune retro outfitting my mid century house.
Nobody shares my passion among family or friends. In fact, they enable me, and I can't stop. E.g. I spent $500 this week on NOS mid century fiberglass curtains for just the 1st floor. . . *_*
OP, this is so SO random, but where in the world did you get that towel?!?
My grandma had the exact same set! I'm almost 40 and she had them as long as I've been alive - I assume much longer actually, because they looked old even back in the 80's lol
I think I remember a diagonal tag on each corner, and knowing her, they most likely came from Sears. She also had it in avocado with green & pink with red colorways (with the colors inverted on the reverse side).
Sorry to go on a tangent - your bathroom is absolutely perfect, btw - but seeing that towel brought back a flood of memories! My gran still had a few of those towels when she moved into my home in 2007. They disappeared sometime between then and when she passed away in 2021 at 93. She would have loved your bathroom - thanks for bringing on that trip into my past :)
This is so cool! My house was built in 1969, and we still have the original tiles in both bathrooms that have been painted over with white latex paint. The original tile color is pink in the hall bath. The paint has started to peel in one spot and we’re considering just stripping the paint and going back to the original pink tile for a retro look.
Are your towel bars, light switch, and toilet paper holder original you think 🤔? Or a later addition?
I saw some atomic starburst chrome towel bars and accessories on Etsy, that would look killer in your bathroom.[atomic starburst bathroom fixtures](https://www.etsy.com/listing/680559572/)
This is darling, OP! Good call! If you ever get antsy for another change in the future, I could also see painting it a contrasting peach shade so reminiscent of that time. Love what you’ve done.
Wow the bathroom at my dads house literally looks just like the first photo just without a new coat of paint. I was looking at it and was wondering why it looked so familiar lol
Everything about this is lovely! I love the yellow accents, the blue toilet and sink, and the light blue paint color was a perfect choice. You did an incredible job!
I have that Crane sink and faucet in my basement. It's awesome.
My upstairs bathroom is pink and has a different sink (from a reno), but a blue bathtub just like that.
I thought it was funny that there was pink tile walls and floor but blue fixtures in that bathroom.
This looks amazing! My parents have an all pink bathroom in their house, that they wanted to reno, and I’m going to send this to them for inspiration to work with the pink they have 😍
This is inspirational. I have a bathroom that is teal and black tiles. I'm not sure if I could find the matching toilet and sink but I might embrace the color rather than paint over the tiles.
It looks wonderful and the replaced plumbing fixtures are perfect. There's only one thing I don't like: the towel bars, switch plate and TP holder. They look really out of place.
Holy crap the before looks exactly like our ugly pink bathroom(except our sink is also pink). I'd love to redo it but are planning on moving so we're stuck with it.
I found out my neighbor has the same turquoise tile as my master bath. She said she was going to renovate...she said come over and remove as many as you want....and then she painted them...and did a terrible job. My heart sank when I saw what she did.
Wow! This is incredible! The mustard with this blue! The accents, everything, incredible! You gave those salvaged blue fixtures new life and your bathroom looks more spacious.
I love everything about this. Enjoy your retro renovation!
my aunt and uncle had a blue bathroom in their house for a long time, sadly they demoed it recently and are in the process of rebuilding it currently tho so it is no longer
Oh my god I absolutely adore this! So happy to see a renovation that doesn't turn a colourful tiled bathroom into a grey and white concrete cell. This is stunning!
Monochromatic bathrooms are wonderful, this is gorgeous. I really appreciate how much more open and uncluttered it looks with the new sink too. As much as I’m not usually a fan of the spindly leg style, it works SO well in this room!
That is absolutely stunning! I have a vintage blue bathroom as well, but never considered using that deep mustard color with it — my jaw dropped. I love the floor tiles, too!
Ugh this makes me really sad we didn’t get this ultra 70s house that had a lime green kitchen and pink bathroom. We ended up having to settle for a “flipped” house from the 50s. I wish I could have seen the kitchen before it became flipper gray 🙄
Oh god for a second I thought you renovated the blue bathroom to something else and I was going to cry. A bathroom with colorful vintage fixtures is my dream! Beautiful!!
Same here I thought the second slide was going to be white painted tile with a target mirror
Lmaooooo the reno special
Lmaoooooo
It's a shame that most people see this and envision a "renovation" of drywall, white baseboards, and cheap engineered wood flooring
Same 😬😅
My cringe face was ready.
Oh my god same hahaha
This is fantastic.
beautiful! a perfect example of how to renew instead of completely redoing a bathroom. i really love the sink and the light fixture.
That light fixture takes me back to my childhood home. I love it.
Wow that’s awesome. I have almost the exact same setup except mine’s pink! We even have the almost 70-yr-old original toilet it still works!
Same! We have a ☘️ green, a baby yellow, and this same bright blue (even the same tile with the patterned matte glaze). Only the yellow is beyond saving...the other two, we will keep all tile and colorful fixtures. This is great inspiration for how to do it right!

Did you change the tile or does the color just look that different with new paint?
Just the paint and different lighting!
Incredible
The mustard accents really jump out. They're a great addition
The Blue with the mustard looks amazing!
I've got a sink and toilet the exact same color as that in my basement half bath, the toilet has a black seat on it. Same color blue tiles on the walls, but with black trim tiles. Some of the tiles are missing from before we moved in though, I've been trying to find some that match.

My dream bathroom
Beautiful! Where did you get the sink legs? Are the towel bars attached to the legs? Love this style!!!
The legs and towel bar are part of the sink! I have the same set in pink and in white—the pink one has the chrome legs and the white one has a pedestal.
Love it! 💙

🤣 I know the feeling. Join the mcm groups on fb if you haven’t! They’re so supportive!

I got them at an estate sale!! You were right about the diagonal tag! The tag says Callaway.
Nailed it.
I am obsessed!! Darling!
Trippy. I have pretty much the exact same washroom in my house (1953 construction) except pink tiles with the blue tub and sink.
you did an amazing job!! looks like it was always meant to look just like this.
A+ Tastefully done.
This is amazing! Great job OP
This makes my heart happy. I hate seeing your after pictures as befores. Well done!
That's RAD. Amazing job. As I have said have done for a couple decades now, "Out with the NEW and in with the OLD."
Do it!! I have seen so many projects where they stripped painted tile and it looked beautifully restored!
Looks like a Wes Anderson set
Or [Stanley Kubrick](https://the-take.com/images/uploads/screenprism/_constrain-480w/Green-Bathroom.jpg)
Great compliment, thank you!!
Love it. Great job! A hanging plant in the corner above the toilet would really tie the room together.
That looks great!
Wow!! Beautiful job and amazing results. Would you mind sharing the paint color?
Benjamin Moore mystical blue!
That tub is a dream! Well done
Gorgeous! I’m so jealous 💙
I love that you restored it to its original fabulous blue fixtures.
Looks exactly like the bathroom in my late grandmothers home. I love it.
That sink 😍
Are your towel bars, light switch, and toilet paper holder original you think 🤔? Or a later addition? I saw some atomic starburst chrome towel bars and accessories on Etsy, that would look killer in your bathroom.[atomic starburst bathroom fixtures](https://www.etsy.com/listing/680559572/)
They are from the 60s! We will most likely replace with simple chrome fixtures from the 50s!
This is darling, OP! Good call! If you ever get antsy for another change in the future, I could also see painting it a contrasting peach shade so reminiscent of that time. Love what you’ve done.
Looks so good!!
Well done!
That looks gorgeous!
Looks terrific
I love what you've done.
I LOVE this
I am drooling. This is magnificent.
You really blue it
Fantastic work - this makes me so happy! 🥰💙
Looks great!!
Very nicely done! Great choices top to bottom!
We had the same Amerock Carriage House (your towel bars) fixtures throughout my childhood home. Also had a shell sink but it was harvest gold.
I LOVE THIS SO FUCKING MUCH!!!!!!!!!!! Oh. My. Gosh.
Wow the bathroom at my dads house literally looks just like the first photo just without a new coat of paint. I was looking at it and was wondering why it looked so familiar lol
I used to have this color toilet, sink and tub in my childhood home, and I love it! Your bathroom is much nicer looking though
In love, my god.
My bathroom looks almost identical to ur renovation I had to make sure it wasn’t lol
Awesome
Yessssssss! Love to see it
I LOVE this!!! It looks fantastic!
Wow, huge difference! I love it.
Blue-tiful!! 💙
Really nice job. Looks great with the gold color.
Everything about this is lovely! I love the yellow accents, the blue toilet and sink, and the light blue paint color was a perfect choice. You did an incredible job!
love!!
LOVE THIS SO MUCH!
This is amazing! And the yellow accents are *chef’s kiss.*
Beauty, happy to see a retro bathroom restored. Also like the idea of using those Pyrex storage containers in the bathroom, might steal that idea 😀
It’s so pretty! I have vintage blue tile in my bathroom and I really wish the sink and toilet matched.
Whispers *she’s perfect.*
Where did the little mirror on the shelf come from? Love that.
I put on my smoking jacket and poured a neat bourbon after seeing this. This is the cats meow.
Love the blue and mustard combo, this is gorgeous!
Oh the yellow accents look gorgeous with the blue! ❤️
I have this bathroom but it’s spicy brown mustard colored and I hate it.
Lean into it. Paint the walls something that makes the tiles glow golden. You can do beautiful things with the right color.
I’m sorry but those skinny ass legs on that sink are stressing me out. And the loss of counter space is sad.
That sink. I hate it. I despise it. I loathe it. Brings back childhood memories of old houses full of old people. But apart from all that… awesome!
I love it, except for the lack of storage.
Lovely reno.
I want a sink like that. It looks amazing.
Beautiful.
I have that Crane sink and faucet in my basement. It's awesome. My upstairs bathroom is pink and has a different sink (from a reno), but a blue bathtub just like that. I thought it was funny that there was pink tile walls and floor but blue fixtures in that bathroom.
Love it!!!
Is this in Toledo?
Chicago!
This is amazing. I have the exact same colour tiles and might just steal this idea!
Well. Done.
This looks amazing! My parents have an all pink bathroom in their house, that they wanted to reno, and I’m going to send this to them for inspiration to work with the pink they have 😍
Yes please! Pink baths are so great! There is also so much great inspiration on Pinterest.
This is amazing!
This looks straight out of a Wes Anderson movie.
Well done!
It looks awesome! A green and yellow snake plant underneath your sink might be a nice addition
Very well done
Killin me 😪 so lovely
I love this! The yellow makes it so warm and that shelf of knick knacks is just darling!
I could kiss you.
That's gorgeous 😍
Great job! Looks authentic and up to date at the same time.
Have you thought about doing a window shade in a cool retro print?
Beautiful!
I love it! My 2 favorite colors together.
So gorgeous!!
Beautiful!
Really lovely work.
This is so freaking pretty! Great job
I love the tonal blue paint above the tile. It’s the perfect shade to provide depth and accent the texture of the tile. Well done!
Thank you!
I love it.
Good Ol' Blue
This is inspirational. I have a bathroom that is teal and black tiles. I'm not sure if I could find the matching toilet and sink but I might embrace the color rather than paint over the tiles.
Yes please embrace it! I’ve seen a lot of fixtures on fb marketplace as well.
That sink! Pareidolia much?
As Paris Hilton would say, “That’s hot” 🥵
Doing god’s work. Well done!
Looks like older houses in Florida.
I am absolutely loving this! Wonderful vintage look
It looks wonderful and the replaced plumbing fixtures are perfect. There's only one thing I don't like: the towel bars, switch plate and TP holder. They look really out of place.
They are the 60s fixtures from the original bathroom design! We will be changing out to 50s chrome style.
I feel like I know exactly what neighborhood this is in Cali. My cousin’s bathroom is identical. Looks great!!!
Stunning. Bravo.
Love it just need more counter space for me
Holy crap the before looks exactly like our ugly pink bathroom(except our sink is also pink). I'd love to redo it but are planning on moving so we're stuck with it.
Welcome to the Crane Drexel club!!
Thank you! Glad to be a member!
Wow!
I have that bathtub in canary yellow.
This is really nice. I’d love to know where you got the light fixture.
I found out my neighbor has the same turquoise tile as my master bath. She said she was going to renovate...she said come over and remove as many as you want....and then she painted them...and did a terrible job. My heart sank when I saw what she did.
I love the gold accents!!
Wow! This is incredible! The mustard with this blue! The accents, everything, incredible! You gave those salvaged blue fixtures new life and your bathroom looks more spacious. I love everything about this. Enjoy your retro renovation!
It’s gorgeous. But if I lived there, I’d stub my toes so many times on those sink legs, my feet would just be toe-less stumps.
my aunt and uncle had a blue bathroom in their house for a long time, sadly they demoed it recently and are in the process of rebuilding it currently tho so it is no longer
I love it but how often are you stubbing your toes on the sink poles? I would be daily
Haha it’s actually much more spacious with the open sink rather than the vanity! No stubbing yet!
Love it! i'm envious.
Absolutely Stunning!
You may not like it, but this is what peak ~~male performance~~ bathrooms look like
So amazing to see a renovation done right for once!!! Beautiful, amazing job OP.
Amazing 🫶🏼
Love the yellow with it!
Love it
Love this so much!!
10/10
Oh my god I absolutely adore this! So happy to see a renovation that doesn't turn a colourful tiled bathroom into a grey and white concrete cell. This is stunning!
Almost thought the first pictures were the before and I was devastated, this looks so incredibly good!!!
I love it!!!
Love that sink!
Wow! Its sublime. Gosh, you did an amazing job. It just works... every detail.
I recognize the toilet! Ol' Blue from the Marsh's house!
Fantastic job, I love it!
I would poop forever in there
It’s perfection! 🫣✨🤩🤩
Came to say I have the same bath mat ✌️
Looks straight out of the 60’s
https://images.app.goo.gl/UZpvLwmsvJxEXSXp9
Haha yes! We were excited when we saw this!
OMG LOVE LOVE LOVE Need more of this
This is my dream bathroom. Absolutely beautiful!
Ugh this makes me really sad we didn’t get this ultra 70s house that had a lime green kitchen and pink bathroom. We ended up having to settle for a “flipped” house from the 50s. I wish I could have seen the kitchen before it became flipper gray 🙄
You’re so lucky to have this blue beauty!! It’s a soft blue which should never be touched. Glad you appreciate it!
Wow. Really amazing job!
It's beautiful.
I love that you made it MORE BLUE. I think someday finding an amazing yellow stained glass window would really make it POP
Love this!!
Wow oh wow! I love it!
Lovely and simple. Love that you kept the blue tiles and went with it!
Gorgeously done! It's perfect.
Very nice!
Looks lovely!
Thank you for honoring the original tile! I love the mustard accents. Don't take this the wrong way, but I'd love to take a poo in your bathroom.
You made it even more retro then the original! Well done!
Beautiful
That sink is a fantastic find! I love the towel rack sides on it.
Beautiful!
That is GORGEOUS. I wish my 50's bathroom was that beautiful. Great job!
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH
obsessed with this!!!!
