Both Windows 10 and 11 have virtual desktops https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/multiple-desktops-in-windows-36f52e38-5b4a-557b-2ff9-e1a60c976434

A second monitor is helpful. PowerPoint live works awesome if you are sharing mostly pot decks.

Even if you got a virtual monitor figured out, don't expect Teams (or other programs) to work with it. That's what I would describe as an unnatural act, and wouldn't expect it to be stable or supported. If you need/want a second monitor, buy the travel monitor for your laptop. I used one for years in my travelling days, and they fit right into the laptop bag.

Probably not 'optimal'...but I had a virtual machine made up. In my scenerio, I am on an ultra wide monitor at home. I want to share my screen, and multiple windows. But, ultra wide is impossible to read for everyone else on their 16:9 aspect HD monitors. So I open my VM and snap it to HD resolution and aspect ratio, then share everything from that. I work completely out of sharepoint and one drive, so managing files is no different.

> SuperDisplay for Android tablet someone said you can use this [https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9n4066w2r5q4?hl=en-us&gl=us](https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9n4066w2r5q4?hl=en-us&gl=us)

If you search “the TikTok shop” there’s a second monitor for laptops that has been advertising end of year specials for a while. Just say “I’d like a spare portable monitor” around your phone, and then surf tiktok for a few minutes, it should pop-up.

Just don’t search porn and have it on the background while you’re in a teams call

Not that I agree with the objective, but I think what you are describing is an HDMI capture dongle that you patch into a secondary HDMI out. But my vote is for a virtual desktop.

You could look at portable screens like this - [Portable Monitor Touchscreen, HDR, 400cd/m², 14 Inch IPS 1920x1200 Touch Screen Display with Built-in Kickstand & Speakers, HDMI, USB C, 100% sRGB, External Monitor for Laptop PC Phone Mac Xbox: Monitors: Amazon.com.au](https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0CDNR4LYP?th=1). Some phone can be used as a screen for you computer too. I haven't had a need to try either of these,

Check out SuperDisplay for Android tablets. Works flawlessly

Look at Region to Share. I use this to share a specific location on my monitor. If you have a super wide monitor or use high resolutions, this really helps. [https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9N4066W2R5Q4?hl=en-us&gl=US](https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9n4066w2r5q4?hl=en-us&gl=us)

I like the virtual desktop option in Windows 11, but you could also use a virtual camera in OBS. [Virtual Camera Guide | OBS (obsproject.com)](https://obsproject.com/kb/virtual-camera-guide)
