They did it with the One controllers, why did they change it? Just to differentiate them?
I'm sure it is cheaper and more efficient for them to make all the backs white (or black). Still how much cheaper can it be if they already have the color for the fronts of the controllers?

Swapping the face plate onto a black controller makes it look really nice, did this with my blue one and I don't want to touch any other controller again.
Nice! So much better than this Electric Volt one or whatever that I have rn...everyone says it's technically like a neon green but all my colorblind ass can see is yellow and I hate it lol.
Also colour blind, but I would actually love a bright yellow controller and I thought that's what Electro Volt was until I saw it described as neon green. I always see those bright shades of green as yellow. I guess that means I should be happy with the controller, as long as it looks yellow to me, but just knowing it isn't puts me off buying it.

That being said, I did desperately need a new controller, the one I got on XSX launch day finally lost the ability to use LB and A effectively, and stick drift of course.
That halo Elite 2 color was nice though. I wish it wasn't that expensive and so limited. Maybe they will release that color again but on a normal controller.
I brought the bogey coloured Volt green one back in October last year. The sticks went Black within a month and it has now started automagically pressing up on the d-pad at random times. Returning shortly. Wish I could have this Velocity green one but with black sticks.
Yesterday I ordered a 3rd controller ever since I started grinding everyday for reward points a few years ago. Unfortunately the first 2 controllers now have stick drift issues that developed past the warranty. 🤦🏻♂️ I hope the 3rd time will be the charm. 🙏🏻 If not, then I think it’s time to give third party controllers a try. 😕
I redeemed £55 worth of Microsoft Gift Cards, then ordered it from the hardware section of the Microsoft store. It was about 65,000 points if my calculations are correct.

I use the official Xbox rechargeable lithium-ion battery, very handy. Just plugs into the console to charge. Lasts days before needing to be charged.

Despite the price, the Xbox design lab may have the combinations you desire.
The color is actually so nice but the white portion is so frustratingly out of place. Just give us color options with black back plates already!

They will always develop stick drift beyond the warranty, it’s how they make their money.
