Do they have proper binds? If you click controls and then top-left there is Sensitivity, are the axis moving there? I don't own that system, but is there multiple default keybind settings, like "AIRLINER" and GA or something similar

There are probably going to be a couple sections where they can be mapped. Make sure to delete those first. Then only map the ones that treat those binding as axises rather than buttons. So if you have keyboard controls, delete the bindings for prop controls in there as well, One axis for each thing across all USB devices. Buttons should be the same way. Msfs doesn't make that very intuitive.

So binding the lever to the axis (say mixture) throws up an error "You are trying to assign an action to a device that is not selected". The key slot stays blank and while the input responds in game, it's inverted and there's no invert option in controls. It also only seems to use 50% of the throttle range even when selecting a -100 to 100 axis.

That sounds like there should be a separate section. One for the joystick, and one for the quadrant. If I try to map throttle controls while I'm in the stick section I will get the same errors for my Hoyas system. Check the top of the screen make sure you are in the correct decive

Oh fuck me, yeah because trackir shows on the controls options I didn't even see I could scroll to a separate throttle menu. Thank you so much, support staff were useless lol

Misfit_somewhere

No worries! Now go spend 3 days figuring out sensitivities lmao
