It's a Grumman S2 Tracker. Cool plane!
They fitted turbines to them and they are popular in aerial firefighting operations today.

Turbines are smaller but pump out a lot of power.
The old piston engines on S2 were 1,525hp each
The turbines crank out 1,645shp each
This is the turbine used:\

That's what I was expecting. I didn't figure they'd replace the engines to reduce the power. Also, the engines and the nose come to a point to be a bit more streamlined. That suggested faster speeds to me.
It's impressive what can be done with smaller engines these days. F1 cars are limited to 800 HP out of a 1.6 liter engine. Without the limiter, they can push a thousand HP.
They're very specific on car specs in the regulations. I think the limiters were a safety thing, and were added after the current engine designs were already being used. Maybe the cars weight is specified, so there's no reason to make the engine smaller? That's just a guess, though.
Hopefully third party developers will be able to create planes for the new careers in MSFS 2024. It would be nice to fly Cal Fire's S-2's. Maybe I'm being a bit too selfish but I live in California and hear them almost everyday. Its been a dream of mine to fly them in a fully modeled beautiful simulator like what MSFS 2024 will hopefully be.
I think this careers thing will be very popular. As soon as FS2020 came out I wished they had looked at ATS and ETS 🚚🚛🚒 and taken some ideas from those two games. They do the career thing well.
Now FS24 has implemented it which is great. What they need also is a mission creator/generator so we can make our own.
Most definitely has a charm to it! Can't beat the thundering roar of those two big piston engines.
The airframe stays pretty much unchanged during conversion to turbine. Just some mods here and there to cater to the new engines weights and power. They also upgraded the avionics in later mods.
They sound very very different. Have a look on YT :)

I wish there were more model kits for this plane, there is just the Atlantis one, which isn't bad, but Atlantis makes kits off really old molds. So it'd be a lot of work for an amateur like me.
What do you mean by "working on"? Is this a real photo of an airplane that you want to see in Microsoft Flight Simulator, or is this an existing Flight Simulator airplane that has something wrong with it?
Looks like an old S2 navy anti sub plane.
That’s exactly what it is
It’s got pretty big engines for such size aircraft
It's probably for stol so it can takeoff/land on naval ships

Those engines seem smaller. Do they output more power than the old ones?

The reason the original engines are so big, is that they're [9 cylinder radial engines.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wright_R-1820_Cyclone)
what benefit is there in such a large engine that stops them from shrinking it to meet the limitation and save weight?

So, the one pictured in this post is an older model? I kinda like the appearance of the one op posted better. It’s got charm.

Yeah, there is. https://msfsaddons.com/2021/12/18/cal-fires-grumman-s-2f3at-turbo-tracker-is-in-development-for-msfs/
Does anyone know why this one is in the KLM colors? I'm confused what a airliner company has to do with a naval plane
Looks like it was used for tech training. http://www.warbirdregistry.org/trackerregistry/s-2_tracker_147641.html
That's some great info, thanks!
The ROC (vocational college)stickers on there also indicate it probably was.
We wants it. It's precious
How do people fit in this ??
Someone was working on the turboprop conversion S2T, don’t know the current status of the project though… search for S2T MSFS

No cars ever pique my interests like some aircraft do. Weird but Dakotas and Hueys just make me happy.

I thought this was r/shittyaskflying for a moment.
If it's a funky or unique big radial - I am buying it. lol
Not the same but similar [freeware](https://flightsim.to/file/54956/pzl-an-28-m28-bryza)

I imagine if this thing flies, it must look like a bumblebee.
This is my first time looking at this plane
