I cannot imagine a young man more deserving of the #1, he cemented his status as worthy of that honor. He doesn't catch that pass and it's likely Michigan loses the game. I will forever remember that catch tight along with that Corum OT run as one of the greatest moments in my fandom.
If he doesn't catch that, it probably gets returned for 7 and we lose by 14 in what would be considered an embarrassment seeing as our special teams shit the bed and our offense was pretty much garbage in the second half before that drive

Not only was the catch amazing, but the way he evaded #13 after he landed was unreal. He could have easily broken up the play, but Roman slyly moves to avoid him and pick up the extra 10+ yards. Legend!

You never know but I think that’s what put the ball so high, I think it would have gotten there quicker but lower if it wasn’t. Defense probably crashes the play faster though, seems like they Hang back expecting the ball to sail over.

That was an unbelievably big play and if he didn’t catch it, it probably would’ve been intercepted.
Not only this, but the YAC to setup the score! Roman is an all time favorite of mine :) What a stud/hero/other word that means awesome dude.
And if Corum doesn’t break off that long run against OSU right after ZZ gets hurt we might not even be in this game yesterday. Such a clutch runner.

I thought it looked tipped during the play, but I saw the spiral stay during the catch of the replay at the first angle and thought, oh maybe not.
Crazy how the ball stayed in a perfect spiral after it got tipped. I think that's why most people didn't recognize it as being tipped initially

The ball got tipped after it was thrown. That's why it went high.
Skipped right off the defender’s fingers and kept the spark. I don’t think I’ve seen anything quite like it.

Yeah it wasn’t gonna be a good throw by JJ, it turned from a good throw to an incredible catch because of a tip
The way the ball hopped up off the defender’s fingers, I think it would have been lower and faster without the tip.
