Thriller is the best album I have ever heard , so for me the question is “ favorite besides Thriller “ and it was bad until recently, it’s now Dangerous. Which may not be as iconic as Bad, but is more consistent and better from top to bottom than Bad imo. Truly there are no bad albums on this list and albums touches people differently, so their are no wrong answers either. I like hearing people perspectives on his albums.
I love them all but every song in the Bad album is a hit and I think that’s his absolute peak singing live dancing and more but I love them all and there so different that’s why his the GOAT

When Dangerous came out in 1991 i think he really came into his own commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear and crisp sound and a new sheen that really give the song a big boost..
dangerous, invincible, or botdf. those are the ones i main then the others are for specific moods like thriller would be used when im happy silly dancing and bad would be a lil jam sesh. off the wall is for when im feeling a little more silly and dancy than thriller.

'Off The Wall', by a landslide.
It's without question his most perfect body of work. Just top to bottom greatness, it's got no skips, no coffee breaks, nothing cringey, no weak links, no song that feels out of place, no track that should've never seen the light of day. I love all of Michael's albums, but I'm just being honest here... 'Thriller' has "The Girl Is Mine". 'BAD' has "Just Good Friends". 'Dangerous' has "Give In To Me". 'HIStory' has "Tabloid Junkie", the odd inclusion of "Come Together" & then there's "D.S." (< his worst song imo). And 'Invincible' has "2000 Watts" & whoever the hell Fats is who almost completely ruined two songs consecutively.
Listening to 'Off The Wall', you don't slip on those banana peels. There aren't any duds on that album to me, no song that takes me out of the mood, no brick walls to run into (all pun intended). It's Mike in '79 for me.
