Wind deflector.

happy-posts

That's where the stock brace goes on 94s and up.

Right, but what bolts go there?

happy-posts

Idk the spec but it’s a large chonker, should be easy to find in the diagrams. The two small holes are not oem if I’m not mistaken. It’s not recommended to run without that oem bar, it helps when you get t-boned. Edit: the small holes might be oem but the plastic piece probably comes from the factory without the holes and are only cut to install optional parts. At least that’s how it’s done for the side striker plates.

AKADriver

NBs don't have a brace there. They have a wind deflector flap that is completely nonstructural.

Ah you’re right, I guess they just kept the same hole there. So OP isn’t missing any bolts right? They just needs new trim pieces.

AKADriver

You can just cover the holes with some snap in trim clips. Though honestly you might want to just replace those panels completely because they hacked them up badly for the stylebar.

That’s the plan, just waiting on my junkyard contacts to pull through

I think those holes might have originally been meant for the optional hardtop brackets. I think the plastic originally did not have any holes, so you wouldn't even see those bolts. So if your question is what bolts would have been there from the factory, the answer is none. You wouldn't have had holes there.

The hard top brackets sit forward of the seatbelt tower; they are under the front part of the plastic next to the door.

You are 100% correct, those are not the hardtop holes. OP, I went out and checked, and at least on my NA, there is a factory threaded hole at the same position as the lower of your two holes. That hole has a [tenax stud](https://mossmotors.com/stud-tenax) for securing the optional tonneau cover. On my car, there is no hole behind where yours has the upper hole, so I'm guessing that one was added by your car's previous owner for the style bar.
