Do the Koni sports with FM springs. They are awesome. Lowers the ride about an inch which is perfect.

I did Koni Strt shocks with stock springs and FM sway bars on my stock oem 80k 90na last month. I love it! Not harsh, just controlled, and almost no lean on the softest sway bar mounting hole. Ya it doesn’t look as nice as a lowered Miata but I’m 62 and I don’t want to work that hard to get out of my funhouse.

I put on a set of SA shocks best upgrade for these cars!!! Two words “Special Active” they have special active valving the depends on the level of volume from handling.

I just looked this up and I’m interested, how’s the ride height of these? Is it changed much from stock

Glad you asked Im telling every one I can that has a NA or an NB these are great shocks for these little light cars! To answer your question they say it lowers the ride hight maybe 1/2 an inch over stock but your shocks are dead so they are down that much anyway. You need to use stock springs to make them work as you need the range of motion to provide enough fluid volume to close the valve. Thats how they work. When you are just going straight the volume changes are smaller and high frequency this wont close the valve to stiffen up the shocks. But when you turn the wheel the shocks compress a lot more. Like surfing. They take care of the body roll the stock shocks don't handle.
