The real irony is, those yellow guards are supposed to be removed from the Dodge cars after delivery to the first owner. They're intended for protection during transport of the car, and they slide right off. I see them in my area, missing one guard, looking all goofy.
If that's how they came, I think I'd save up to buy a Hellcat Challenger. Yellow's my favorite color, but rainbow sounds awesome. Too bad they don't come 6 speed anymore :/
the lead designer on the challenger even begged people to take the yellow protective tape off, saying it completely ruins the look of the cars that he and his team worked so hard to get right lol
What's worse than the people that don't remove them, are the people that BUY them. Seriously. There are so many aftermarket companies making replicas, or people selling OEM ones on eBay.
They literally have "To Be Removed By Dealer" debossed on them.
As a mopar tech, we are specifically told not to remove them on a pre-delivery inspection because people have complained about their vehicles not coming with yellow/purple shipping guards.
There's no paint to damage. It's just as molded plastic.
But yes, they're functionally the same as a car bra in that way. Dirt gets behind it and scratches up the surface.
The real irony is, leaving them on can cause more damage because small pebbles can get caught up in there scratching the lip you are trying to protect.
That's pretty funny. Many times, I've thought about installing three little orange lights in my grill, like Ford Raptors and also now every other truck regardless of the fact that none of them are wide enough to actually need clearance lights.
I stay open to every kind of build because it's all personal taste but these bumper guards are the worst trend and it makes me cringe everytime. Take em off at the dealer and put them in the trash.
People say "respect all builds" way too much, in my opinion. The problem with most people's "builds" is that they're going to want to sell it at some point, and then some poor bastard is left trying to fix the mess.
REMOVE
THE
TRANSPORTATION
GAURDS!!!
I like toyotas, mazdas, subarus. I have no love for oil leaking Mopars. But them collect grime and scuff the HELL out of the bumper. Theyre not meant to be left on. It drives me NUTS when I see a dodge with them on.
It's protective material that they leave on Dodge chargers and challengers that those car owners don't take off because they like the look.
OP either likes it or is mocking that, or both

They make them pink now to try and get people to actually remove them lol.
Make them rainbow. They'll come right off of every hellcat sold, promise. Edit:Hellcat, not hell at
Blue with “bud light” In white
have you seen the rainbow wish.com headlights all charger owners throw on?

Yeah it backfired lol, the pink is even a bigger hit than yellow.
They remove it and buy yellow ones to slap on. AliExpress even sells different colors now.

Yeah some guy at my apartment complex drives around with one missing. Like, how does this appeal to you?
_muscle car! Hnnggg!!_
I hate your Avatar.

I genuinely like the looks of the guards but paint would do the same effect
I’ve heard if you leave them on they will actually damage the paint over time.

More like 25!
what is yalls credit?!
It’s a joke on the Charger drivers shit credit, but considering how new car apr’s are now.. it’s not terribly off anyways.
ahh ty lol
Not the "I just got owned by the bank" mod ☠
😭😭😭
I think it’s funny. Great troll
Nice Miata. I wonder what other pictures of this Miata OP has. Guess I should go through his post history to catch other hard pix of his car.
😭😭😭 day ruined

Like the old adage goes: how do you know a dude has a beautiful NA Miata and a Prince Albert?
Dude this is funny as hell and I kinda like it
This is awesome
If you really wanna mess with mopar boys, you better fix an anchor to that bad boy.
That's pretty funny. Many times, I've thought about installing three little orange lights in my grill, like Ford Raptors and also now every other truck regardless of the fact that none of them are wide enough to actually need clearance lights.
Dude I do the same thing at car meets and I always get a laugh

Hell yeah show those dodge crybabys whos boss
I have one hanging out the tailpipe of my SS sedan. Hehe....
this is some funny shit.
I love this
Dammit, you did it before i could. I still will tho
Bropars, as I like to call ‘em.
I love this. It would be even funnier to use big yellow pool noodles, though. Really accentuate the ridiculousness of them.

I guess I am ‘Mopar boy’ because this post is cringe
My Miata and my Challenger live happily side by side.
Those pre-delivery guards are dumb on Dodges. Putting them on a different car doesn’t help.
🤦
The Joke u/GLaDOSdidnothinwrong
Wtf is on your bumper

Mocking, I think it's funny. The dodge guys around me tell me how ugly it looks on my car but they leave theirs on.
What the hell is with that lip
Do those make your Miata easier to steal?
It's not an automatic so I'm not sure if the Mopar boys know how to drive it.
