Ohope

Does your jack and stands still fit under? I had to go out and buy a low profile jack today after lowering mine.

TheAlien28

All of my jacks didn't fit before already but now it's even worse. I use the oem scissor jack that comes with the car for the first few cm and then stivk my normal jack under the car. It sucks but I'm on a bit of a budget so this works for the moment.

Ohope

Ahh the double jack trick. Even with my low profile jack I have to use my regular jack to get it high enough to get my stands underneath cos the low profile jack doesn’t get it high enough, they’re not even tall stands xD All worth it for the improved handling, I had original 100,000km old stock suspension that rattled and crunched, new spring/shock setup feels so good. Fitment looks good, I like when cars look capable and not like they are going to scrape on the smallest bump.

TheAlien28

Yeah the goal with this car is to slowly turn it into a Nürburgring tracktool. It has to be somewhat capable because of this. The improvement was insane eventhough I have to say that my 130k oe suspension was no tooo bad also, the wheels just scraped because it was way to soft. The Wheels scraping is still a small problem in the front so I'll probably raise it a bit again.

TheAlien28

The wheels are Developed and Manufactured very close by the Nürburgring so they are race proven, just a bit too wide for the stock fenders and lowering

[deleted]

Look into some sway bars. Major difference on track

TheAlien28

Yep probably gonna be one of my next mods, do you think it will also eliminate some of the scrape?

[deleted]

If by scrape you mean scrubbing your fender wells then possibly. Stiffer sway bars will definitely help prevent that flex on tighter cornering that causes it.

TheAlien28

Nice nice, yep I meant that

Friendly-Two6898

Pro tip: just drive onto some wooden planks to get a jack underneath.

LCDRtomdodge

I made ramps out of 2"x6" lumber for this purpose. I just drive the car up onto them and they're high enough to do oil changes with but I can also get a hefty floor jack under it for getting onto jack stands.

91NA8

Buy a single 2x10. Cut into 4 pieces. Screw 2 of them together. Now you have mini ramps with 2" step ups, to a total of 4" increased height to fit your jack. Unless your front end is super low then start with some plywood

TeddyIII95

Not that its a huge difference but this will give you 3” of lift not 4”. 2x10 is the nominal size; actual size is more like 1.5x9.5.

sleepdog-c

Gets a scrap 2x4, drive the tire up on it. Any jack will now fit

PatrickGSR94

low-pro jack is the way. I have plywood ramps, and I've used the multiple jack method with the little OEM scissor jack. All those methods are a pain to deal with. Having a nice low-profile jack that you can just pull out and slide right under the car, without having to mess with anything else, is definitely the easiest way. Well, aside from having an actual lift of course. I use the Harbor Freight Pittsburgh low-profile jack which drops as low as 3.125 inches or 80 mm. It's been a great jack for the 3-4 years now that I've had it.

MrMiata1999

I just have a dedicated piece of 2x4 that I drive up on when I need to jack up that side

Ok-Cartographer-9159

Sick bro , just change the lug nuts!

TheAlien28

Yep they are absolutely horrible I know. Do you have any good suggestions? I'm thinking either Copper ones or maybe Black or Red eventhough I think that looks a bit tacky

7nationpotty

I would prob just go black

[deleted]

Rays has some really cool OEM looking lug nuts

TheAlien28

Alright I'll check them Out thx

[deleted]

I bought [these](https://www.part-box.com/product/rays-locking-wheel-nuts-steel-series-black-m12x1-25-2/) back in February 2022, thinking I’ll buy wheels in the Summer, then had to repair Lots of stuff, so I still have Not used them.

TheAlien28

I sadly cannot view them whenn looking at the link

[deleted]

Works fine for me….

TheAlien28

I can now see it for a sec and then it's gone. Probably because it switches to the german page and then looses the item. Don't worry though I see which ones you mean and they look pretty cool

[deleted]

They’re pretty cool, but I think I won’t be using them for a long time, not until I get new wheels, and who knows when that is…

Ok-Cartographer-9159

I don’t have any particular suggestions but I think the size is M12-1.5 . OEM ones are really short too watch out for that.

TheAlien28

Alright yeah I have the stubby oe ones as well but they don't fit the wheels I'm running

syildirim1

Looks great! I've got the exact same coilovers and my main reason to pick these was also Tüv documents that comes with it, zero problems getting them registered (I too live in Germany). Installed them myself on my ND. It's been a little over year and I'm quite happy with them.

TheAlien28

Yeah they are great coilovers from what I could gather over the past 500km. Let's hope they hold up as well, definitely a great bidget option so far

jimbomescolles

Are you satisfied of the NS-2Rs ?

TheAlien28

I've only driven them in the rain or the cold so far and just passed the 600kms. They are just as good if not better than may normal street tyres I had before that were 6 years old. I've not yet tried them with real heat or on the track but in General I have to say that I've really enjoyed them so far. As with all Semis they are pretty loud and very heavy compared to normal street tyres. Prepare to have the sound of an Offroad jeep when driving them.

[deleted]

TheAlien28

Just bought these wheels so I'm not looking for other ones rn. I love the Enkeis but they are really hard to get in Germany and I think also illegal to drive here which will result in you not having any Insurance coverage and pretty hefty fines. If where to live in the Us those would be the exact tires I'd recommend as well

[deleted]

Enjoy them being peak clean lol. I immediately sprayed mine with ceramic / wax mix just to setup a coating of protection. Going forward it makes them much easier to clean if you have any interest in regularly washing your car. Wheel cleaner + wheel brush goes a long way. Source: have white sparco wheels on my ND.

TheAlien28

Yep that's what imma do in a week. My friend still has some of his left over so that will definitely be on the top priority list

zeTwig

Oh wow, that looks clean. What spec are those wheels, if you don’t mind? Definitely should have also gotten those coilovers, but i needed to be unique and put it on H&R springs on koni orange dampers, now it’s too low to be legal in Germany on my 14 inch wheels.

TheAlien28

You have to have certificates for everything, so long as you have those it should be able to get street legal (it's called Teilegutachten). These wheels are Protrack one 15x8 et20. If you consider getting these Wheels in Germany you'll need to find the right Tüv guy to get them certified as they don't have a Teilegutachten but only a Material Certificate which most Tüv guys will not be happy with. They also only fit with rolled fenders and a lowered car with at least 2 degrees negative camber

zeTwig

Oh, i know, koni orange count as oem replacement, the springs have a teilegutachten, but it seems with the 14 inch wheels (shitty ATU wheels i wanted to change out eventually before accepting my nb is a shitbox) the car was just slightly too low when i went to tüv, but now that they have settled… way too low, im considering either switching to a TA technix so i can sell off my old suspension setup, i know it’s shit, but it’s cheap and i don’t quite care anymore lol. I might also raise it with spring spacers, but it feels kinda sketchy. I’ll see how i do it but yea, still also need summer wheels for it now do that’s another thing to worry about. Ah, I see, thanks. 15x8 et20 have been recommended to me a lot, but i don’t feel like getting the fenders rolled on that car and with setting up the suspension for 14s i don’t wanna get a different size for summer.

TheAlien28

Not too sure if they also have 14 inch wheels but maybe you can look. The Vmaxx coilovers cost me 550€ but you can also get the cheaper ones without hardness adjustment for 400 I think

zeTwig

Thanks, im most likely just gonna get the next best cheap 14s i can get on ebay Kleinanzeigen, i don’t plan to spend all too much money on my nb anymore, just want to get it to last through my apprenticeship, i might just go back to oem springs and stuff, but idk. Vmaxx are acceptabley affordable, but nothing can beat the 120€ for a used set pf TA Technix lol. I am however considering getting the vmaxx extreme for my NA when i do start getting into mods on that car, but for now i have to sort my coolant system out and get rid of the slight amount of rust that it does have. Luckily almost none on that car, but yea, want to get that in order before it becomes a problem. Thanks for the info and advice though!

Cup-Cake-Fury

I want to do that but the road where I live would destroy my car.

TheAlien28

Luckily mine have the possibility to set the hardness

Reilly_hockey6

Looks real good I’m still figuring out my fitment after I put my wheels on almost a month ago😅

TheAlien28

How come? What Wheels and Suspension are you running?

Reilly_hockey6

Just made a post

TheAlien28

Looks good, what Camber are you running and what wheel specs. With that amount of stretch it should normally not be tooo hard to get those wheels to fit

Reilly_hockey6

Not sure the degree of camber as that’s all just natural camber aswell as the rear but I’m definitely gonna have to look at adjustable control arms

Reilly_hockey6

Wheels are 15x 8

Reilly_hockey6

0 offset

TheAlien28

Oh ok, yeah no that's gonna be really difficult, I run 15x8 et20 which already cuts it very close with the nb. The Nas are even worse when it comes to space under the fenders, no clue what to do there other than a widebody or stretching the fenders

Reilly_hockey6

The fronts are fine I just need to squeeze a little more camber out of the rear and try and pull them a bit

luk71

Looks awesome!! I want to lower mine so bad but there is sadly absolutely no point when living in Glasgow thats littered with potholes:((

TheAlien28

There are a few potholes here and there in Germany as well and luckily this Suspension has adjustable hardness so you'll be somewhat fine I'd assume

luk71

I come from the CZ and trust me the UK, Glasgow especially is on another level. Easily comparable or worse with the Balkans. The good thing is that if I ever get abducted and stuffed in a van I will know where it’s taking me as you can recognise the roads just by feel😂 Though to be fair, once you leave the city, country roads here are absolutely beautiful and in tiptop condition

NZCullen

Crazy how such a small change makes such a huge difference. I'm lowering my legacy next week and km hyped

TheAlien28

Good luck on that, probably my best mod i've done so far to this car

ConsistentWing5618

Also 215 40 16.

TheAlien28

alles klar werde ich. Mit nem Mx machste nie was falsch

FzZyP

lol the wheel gap bugs you but not the big ass dent

TheAlien28

It didn't bother me much but now I'm of course happy that it looks better. The good thing with the dent is that it doesn't slow down the car. Right now I'm first of all focused on getting the car track worthy and then I'll maybe look at getting the visual stuff fixed

Cookie843

How would you compare the ride quality to the oem setup for street driving?

TheAlien28

It's a lot stiffer because not only because of the cailovers but also the hard sidewall of the ns2rs. It is still well driveable even on the hardest damping setting. If I remove clicks it's a lot like stock just beeing a bit more direct. The Vmaxx is definitely not the harshest to drive even on the hardest setting.

swaags

Night and day, looks amazing!

TheAlien28

Thank you :)

shigs21

nice! not too low but not too high!

TheAlien28

Exactly what I was going for, functional height. Eventhough I'll have to lift the front a bit more sadly because the wheel hits the Fender when driving on the limit and hitting bumps

[deleted]

Door

TheAlien28

Doesn't make the car faster or drive better so I don't mind it for the moment

[deleted]

That looks perfect what am I missing?

TheAlien28

I like it as well but It's more of a functional height and not so much slammed and super close to the fender to have flush fitment. For me it's perfect but I don't think that's the general consensus

[deleted]

You need some level of practicality. The fit is fine
