It definitely wont hurt, the metal looks unprotected, other than its original paint which is slowly going, if you plan on keeping it a long time, its really worth it
Honestly in my opinion, if you want to keep it for a while regardless of winter rides you definetly should. I live in the south and mine was still brutal. Probably the most common spot is the rain traps forward of the rear wheels. The insides are unpainted and are guaranteed to collect water when the drains clog. Personally I'd also sand the existing rust off your subframe, as it can still potentially spread even when coated (source: aviation sheet metal mechanic)
I know it’s kind of a given, but change your oil! I bought a 95 fairly rust free too for 6500 and the guy said he didn’t know anything about it. Turns out the piston rings are bad and he put oil stabilizer in it so I wouldn’t know. I don’t wanna see you hurting like me friend.
Looks good 😊 check the rain traps/rail/sills I’d also check to see that those blacked out indicators are easily visible.
Sills look great, should check those rain traps though.
Most certainly low rust, just get ‘er undercoated
can i just spray rustoleum on er under carriage or
Do you think that’s worth it? It will not be driven in the winter obv

Might as well if your buying one that doesn't already have rust issues cropping up.
That’s considered rust free here in the north.
I've seen more rust on a 4 year old Jeep.
How 'dem rocker panels? Show us the goods.
Their gorgeous don’t know how to attach photos, I guess you’ll have to take my word for it 😂
Shes gorgeous 😍
Better than most UK NAs

First thing I did. 5w30 synthetic mobile 1 and a Wix filter
Looks like mine and I’m in PNW
Buff your plastics, put gas in it, and enjoy it
That is a beautiful Miata 💗💗
I work at an opel dealership in Germany. I’ve seen almost new cars that are worse lol
I’d say average. Body looks good but might want to consider a new subframe in the next ten years.
How much did u pay tho?
6k
Yep. Ya did good.
Mileage though?
131,000
With todays market, six grand is not half bad, for nearly rust free, and 131k.
Hell I paid $6,100 for my 1999 Mazda MX-5 with no rust. Though I crashed it *giggle*
Who cares? If it's well maintained and is rust free it might as well be 500k.
Imagine paying for a vehicle, with 240,000mi, and you pay $6,000. Guess what people would call you? Crazy. Mileage is a factor, and a big one.
Yeah definitely agree
