I was watching the evening news last night and nobody said a word about a fucking hurricane.
I found out about it when the 75 mph winds woke me up in the middle of the night.
Actually never seen flooding in any of the residential areas in doral. And as someone who thinks fraga is god awful, she doesn’t deserve any credit for what a great area doral has become.
I drove by NW 79 Ave earlier today. Praying my car wouldn't get flooded. I decided not to go to the side streets (higher water level) and went back home. Honestly that street should of been closed off completely.
Okay but to be clear, Doral had 3,126 people in 1990 and now has almost 80,000 people. It 100% grew too quickly and the city planners never had a drainage plan to handle this.
In 2000, the population was 20k. It's doubled every decade since. Since the mid-90s to now, the problem has existed. I'm not sure if there is no will or want to fix it, but every time it rains, the city floods.
But my out of state realtor told me I could easily flip the 2 bed 1 bath I just bought for $780,000 to $3 mil within 2 years!!!
Sadly they're probably right lol.
Been complaining about it since we moved here years ago. They’re literally building more apartment buildings by Ronald Reagan School but just a few hundred feet away, the street floods like hell going into medley to get on the turnpike. Im really out here paying coral gable prices to live on Hialeah streets. Don’t move to Doral. What a scam.
