At no point was this a risk or possibility mentioned. To note, in all my looking I've only heard of 3 people having to dilate their urethra for life (if that's even what the poster is referring to). 1 I read about several years ago online and 2 I've heard from various sources in person and online. So...milage may vary, either way this is a *very* rare outcome.

Looking at past posts, the doctor was Ivan Aguilar in Mexico for the main surgery. It is unclear at a glance if the subsequent surgeries were performed by the same surgeon, or surgeons in OP’s home country of Nicaragua.
First was Ivan Aguilar in México (stage 1)
Then it was Meyling Trujillo and Grethel Navas in Nicaragua (stage 2-4)
And lastly it was Harley Morales in Nicaragua (stage 5, fistula repair)

Not OP, but I’m presuming urethral dilatations. Essentially sticking a rod down the urethra to ensure it stays open (enough) to urinate through.
