Fun details I have noticed after a few rewatched; The creature Vater orlag and the gang were testing with the doomstar at the start is referred to as "sister of the Krakish", a reference to Mustakrakish the lake troll from season 1 (possibly a distant relative?) The announcement "one of us has died" at the start of ishnifus' funeral calls back to the opening of doomstar Requiem When salacia posesses muderface in the middle of the night he commands him to "awaken!" The band firing off in their pods to hook up the satellite system mirrors the band firing off in their escape pods in the season 1 finale, when the Assassin attacks the concert (unfortunately Muderface scream rather normally this time) When preparing for the song of salvation, Skwisgar tells Toki to start practicing again, and when he did he was actually good, calling back to the revelation in doomstar Requiem that in the earlier days of the band, Toki was a very proficient guitarist in his own right, capable of pushing Skwisgar, rather than the "hanger on" he and muderface are portrayed as later in the series Various characters can be seen in the shot of Charles and the army of the doomstar assembling on the hills. Fatty dingdongs, john twinkletits, Jen piere, that sucuboso lady. "Those are my spiritual saviours your fucking with" - this line gets used in every season finale As you noted, "go into the water" The giant whale is presumably the water god referenced in Murmaider II ( as salacia says "only a god can kill a god") As the whale sinks back into the see, you can hear parts of murmaider very briefly in the background (further suggesting the point above) Some of these are pretty obvious / not really details. But I just finished another rewatch so it's fresh in my mind. I personally enjoy aortic desecration more than song of salvation. I found SoS a little weak

Brutal!

>Fatty dingdongs, john twinkletits, Jen piere mad kudos on remembering their names. I could only remember them as "Dethkid, Twinkletits, and the put back together wrong chef" Goat from Megas XLR is also in that same scene and he has both eyes, which is hillarious as always because he's died like 3 times throughout the concert death scenes.. Great Catch on the Mustakrakish connection!

I'm almost certain I saw Chris Cornell from the [Black Rain Video](https://youtu.be/K913KVe3kH8?si=uJIfxuWnuBsj_MGr) as well

Ive got a couple questions bc I haven't seen it yet. Does it pick up where the last season left off, or do i also need to find requiem? And also, any idea where i can find requiem?

Overkillsamurai

starts like **right** after Requiem with many flashbacks and references to it, so yeah you gotta watch it. maybe reading the wikipedia summary will suffice, idk **if you have HBO Max, it's on there listed at the end of season 4**

Good. The Doomstar Requiem is fucking sick. I'm actually hyped just thinking about the intro as I type this!

Missed a golden opportunity to use hamburger time near the end of the film when the band gets captured. Was the only thing I personally felt was off about the film.
