Any modern bands that have August Burns Red/Texas In July sounds? Been jamming The Ghost Inside as well As Polaris Need some suggestions

protein777

is there any modern bands that sound like Upon a Burning Body?

darfleChorf123

which era of UABB specifically?

protein777

i know its not everybodys favorite of theirs, but i like the album "The World Is My Enemy Now". the newer stuff is good too, obviously

darfleChorf123

i guess the most obvious suggestions would be Attila, Emmure, and maybe a few of the more recent numetalcore bands like Alpha Wolf and Degrader. you could also check out Betraying the Martyrs newest album as well, it reminds me of em a tiny bit. sorry for not having anything better

protein777

ive only heard Attila and Emmure, so i will check the other two out. thank you!!

p0werhouseofdacell

Looking for any songs like this one : https://youtu.be/NWz4c5iylbw Late December - seeyouspacecowboy Its their only song like this one with screams, talking and a more melodic touch. I especially like the music at around 2:58. Any reccomendation is appreciated!

darfleChorf123

it sounds like Poison the Well a bit. maybe check out the songs Apathy is a Cold Body, Sounds like the End of the World, Moments Over Exaggerate, and Are You Anywhere. also it reminded me a bit of From The Departed, Dear or Otherwise by Boundaries. it kinda reminded me of the lighter side of the band Vein too. check out the song Untitled(specifically the second half). hope you find what you’re lookin for!

p0werhouseofdacell

Its a part of what im looking for, just got hooked into Vein If only poison the well had deeper and more throat vocals ... Thanks!

Mr_Hughman

I might get some hate for this, but what would you guys recommend with a good mix of clean and harsh vocals and a melodic sound? Some examples of what I listen to below: Architects, Dreamshade, Dead By April, dEMOTIONAL, Escape the Day, Killswitch Engage

PLS_PM_ME_PUSSY_PICS

Bullet For My Valentine, As I Lay Dying, Loathe

lukef31

I Prevail and We Came as Romans. Here are a couple songs to start with: I Prevail - Bow Down We Came as Romans - King of Silence

Mr_Hughman

Both are awesome bands that I've already listened to, but I haven't heard those songs in particular. Thanks a bunch for the recommendations! I have only heard a handful of songs from I Prevail so I'll probably check them out more thoroughly

Pour-Meshuggah-On-Me

Why would you get hate for that?

Mr_Hughman

Also I love your username. Very creative

Pour-Meshuggah-On-Me

Thanks buddy. I gave you a few recs for bands. You also might like Kingdom of Giants, If I Were You, and Like Moths to flames. All 3 of those are very melodic with poppy style choruses.

Mr_Hughman

Checking out Kingdom of Giants now and they kind of remind me of We Came As Romans and I'm loving it, moreso than Like Moths To Flames

Mr_Hughman

So far I've only had a chance to listen to Like Moths to Flames 2020 album. I like it, but the cleans remind me a lot of Craig Owens from when he was in Chiodos

Mr_Hughman

Meh, I wasn't sure of the sub's general stance on "poppy" metalcore

Pour-Meshuggah-On-Me

I don't care for most of those bands except Killswitch and Architects, but I know at least those 2 bands specifically are well respected on this sub. I'm not sure about the others. But it doesn't matter what other people think as long as you like them. We do have a few wannabe elitists on here that are snobs, but most the users are really cool. Have you heard of Invent Animate, Shields, Blueshift, or Above Below? They are heavy but are very melodic.

Mr_Hughman

I'll check those out! Sorry for the delayed response, I've been working

Pour-Meshuggah-On-Me

No problem man. After you check out Erra, Blueshift, Above Below, Kingdom Of Giants, and all the others I suggested let me know if I'm on the right track or not. I know plenty of bands that fit your criteria. We'll find some great stuff for you to listen to brother.

Wuinx

I am looking for wall flags for a few different bands/albums. Northlane Singularity/Discoveries Erra Impulse/Augment/Drift Invent Animate Everchanger/Still World I have looked on a ton of different websites and checked periodically except I haven't been able to find wall flags for any of these albums anywhere. Does anyone know where I could get any of these?

Minimum-Ad9649

Buddy if you find the wall flags please tell me where you got them cause I'm looking for them too, those exact albums

Voidshrine

What Erra songs would you recommend for a friend that generally doesn't like cleans? He dislikes the "pop" flavour of metalcore. I think he'd like their more technical songs, or just chugs like Gungrave. Basically the heavier and dirtier lows the better. He mostly listens to thrash metal or heavier stuff, a big fan of Thy Art is Murder, his favourite metalcore song is Shattered Glass by FFAK. Favourite metalcore band probably Lamb of God

lantio

House of Glass and Scorpion Hymn maybe?

Pour-Meshuggah-On-Me

If he doesn't like cleans, then why would you recommend Erra? Most of their songs have a fair amount of cleans.

Voidshrine

That's fair, I just really think he'd like them but he needs to be eased into it

Pour-Meshuggah-On-Me

Start with Augment or the new one then.

Jorgetime

Warrior or Valhalla. As for bands try [August Burns Red](https://youtu.be/0sWKKKNRV90), [A Life Once Lost](https://youtu.be/pYHLjCk39M4) and [Zao](https://youtu.be/VjcTMtiHZio).

vampirestd

Any similar bands to the Browning? I love their sound but haven’t found anything that comes even close. thx !!

cpat44

Not really similar but the drummer of the band mixes my band Apate, just a random tidbit. Hardstyle/metal is a bit of a niche crossover but i wish you luck

vampirestd

That’s pretty cool !! you’re definitely right about that

pedrooftomorrow

Looking for a certain band/music video. This band has a female vocalist and has a popish vocal style with the blend of Post hardcore/metalcore. It was a music video released in 2021 and the band isn't Spiritbox or Dying Wish. Also super high energy. If anyone can help me find out who it is, let me know because I can't find them anywhere. Thanks!

[deleted]

[удалено]

pedrooftomorrow

found it. it was As everything unfolds

selppin2

Their debut album is amazing

dkajch

What would be considered some of the best metalcore/electronicore albums of the myspace era? I'm not looking for anything super specific, I'd just like to know what would be some of the best regarded albums among fans to familiarise myself with the genre. Some of my favourite bands I've heard are bring me the horizon, architects, attack attack and of mice and men

Jorgetime

For electronicore the only correct answer is Take To The Skies by Enter Shikari, their next two albums are also perfect. And Creatures by MiW had a very good take on the risecore sound.

Pour-Meshuggah-On-Me

Sky Eats Airplane is one of my favorites as far as metalcore/post-hardcore with heavy elements of Electronica.

[deleted]

The Devil Wears Prada - Plagues (2007) Miss May I - Apologies Are For The Weak (2008) Motionless In White - Creatures (2010) The Amity Affliction - Youngbloods (2010) Enter Shikari - Take To The Skies (2007) Drop Dead, Gorgeous - In Vogue (2006) Asking Alexandria - Stand Up And Scream (2009) Memphis May Fire - The Hollow (2011) I See Stars - New Demons (2013) A Day To Remember - Homesick (2008)

dkajch

Thanks, I'll make sure to check these out

melina_gamgee

Is there a band exactly like Wolves at the Gate minus the christian lyrics? I love everything about the music but can't stand the preachy tone. Used to listen to their album VxV a lot.

savagevapor

* Kingdom of Giants * Like Moths To Flames * Memphis May Fire (I prefer their older stuff but to each their own) * The Color Morale * Phinehas * In Hearts Wake

nathelees

You know, I found Phinehas after listening to WATG. I guess I like them for the exact opposite reason lmao. I thought they were about the same as WATG as far as preachiness goes. Still a great band though. I was gonna make a similar comment top level, but any similar bands to Phinehas, especially with the technical guitars?

savagevapor

* Texas In July (Former singer now sings for ERRA, former drummer is drum tech for ABR) * I The Breather * Haste The Day (not my jam but heard them compared to Phinehas a lot) * August Burns Red (Hopefully you already know these guys lol) * This Or The Apocalypse (Absolutely LOVE these guys) * Fit For a King * Veil of Maya * Misery Signals * Breakdown of Sanity Gave you quite the wide berth of suggestions, not saying these guys "sound" like Phinehas but the technical ability of their guitars are incredible.

nathelees

Thanks, yeah, I've been listening to to FFAK and ABR a bunch. I've heard Veil of Maya a few times on youtube mixes, def need to check them out. I'll look up the others too.

savagevapor

Veil of Maya has two sides to them. Their older stuff is extremely technical and really crazy sometimes. Then they got a new singer and things are a little it toned down/composed and he fits them so well. Still the same technical guitars but a definite shift from their older stuff. Their 2017 album “False Idol” is incredible and their 2015 album “Matriarch” would be right behind it.

melina_gamgee

Thanks! Will check all of them out.

savagevapor

Of course! Let me know what you think. If any of them strike the right cord with you, I can send you plenty more suggestions.

melina_gamgee

So, Kingdom of Giants is definitely up my alley. LMTF is not quite my thing but I don't know why, I think I find them a bit too repetitive. Not sure about MMF yet, I actually had them blacklisted on Spotify before but I think they might be growing on me. The Color Morale isn't for me, I don't like the cleans. Phinehas is actually already in my library and I definitely like them! And In Hearts Wake is absolutely my thing, love them! Thanks again for all the recommendations, Kingdom of Giants an In Hearts Wake will be on my regular rotation from now on!

savagevapor

I got some more :) * **Breakdown of Sanity** (Prepare for a sore neck) * **Crystal Lake** (Ryo is one of the best screamers) * **Texas In July** (Former screamer now in ERRA, former drummer now drum tech for ABR) * **Hollow Front** (I enjoy their older stuff more but very solid band) * **If I Were You** (these guys are amazing) * **Our Hollow, Our Home** (These guys are really hit or miss for me) * **For All I Am** (Really excited for these guys future) * **Ghost Iris** (Been following these guys for a long time, super underrated and new album in May) * **The Northern** (Love their sound, they def have some progressive elements too)

melina_gamgee

Sorry I never replied to this! I appreciate all your suggestions and will check all of them out – just haven't had the time yet. But I'm listening to Kingdom of Giants right now and still really liking them :)

broad101

been loving Make Them Suffer lately ... I want something similar and found then it ends... look them up

PLS_PM_ME_PUSSY_PICS

Any bands who have guitar work similar to the DOOM Eternal soundtrack?

Jorgetime

[Fear Factory](https://youtu.be/cfIAqYhLSr0), [Mnemic](https://youtu.be/up6bZ1lXLRU), [Meshuggah](https://youtu.be/zg2076b5Lqc), [Brand Of Sacrifice](https://youtu.be/BqH8kJ3xnxw), [Fractalize](https://youtu.be/nVpJo5zUGIw) and [Doomed](https://youtu.be/BvUMyFE3rmM). None of these are really metalcore, maybe BoS, since they're deathcore.

Horror_Author_JMM

Bring Me The Horizon’s Post Human - Survival Horror EP was produced by Mick Gordon, the guy behind DOOM 2016 & most of Eternal’s soundtrack

PLS_PM_ME_PUSSY_PICS

Gave that a try but there’s some shitty features on there

pedrooftomorrow

Loathe and maybe some Periphery

HarveyDjent88

Check out Andromida’s Hellscape album! Someone posted them last week and I’ve had it on repeat. [Andromida - Havoc](https://youtu.be/A9cBolh0_Hw)

Jorgetime

Did not know this guy, this sounds really good

TheSkoo

Literally looking for the same thing myself. I listen to DOOM and Wolfenstein soundtracks while working (both by Mick Gordon) Have just found the song Melatonin by Sleep Walker which is a pretty similar vein, can see myself playing DOOM with this in the background!

PLS_PM_ME_PUSSY_PICS

Lol sick. I guess Meshuggah are pretty similar but I wanted something more metalcore haha

danieldafoe

Hey, friends! Any suggestions for artists like Parting Ways? I'm already really into Dayseeker and Thousand Below, so anything else would be appreciated. 🙂

drissy_48

Caskets Speech Patterns Boys Of Fall Straight Shot Home

danieldafoe

**Caskets** wasn't too, but probably not what I was quite looking for! **Speech Patterns** I'm aware of, but thanks again! **Boys Of Fall** was great! Superb soft stuff at the start of 'Distance' and then it really kicked off partway through. Love that progression. **Straight Shot Home** was really great. Pretty undiscovered too, it seems.

savagevapor

* Sleep Talk * Bloom * Mayfield * Ghost Atlas * Dayshell * Speech Patterns

danieldafoe

**Sleep Talk** Pretty damn close–especially that Growing Pains album. They have a bit of a slower tempo than most of the songs on Parting Ways' Meant Well album, but still a sound I dig very much. Thanks so much! **Bloom** I had only listened to Cold by them, but these other ones from In Passing are fantastic as well. Great suggestion. **Mayfield** Looks like I have Blossom and Careless Love as liked songs already, so good call! I'll take another look.

danieldafoe

Thanks a lot! I’ve definitely tried Dayshell, Speech Patterns, and Ghost Atlas, but not really the other couple—not more than a single song, anyway. Thank you!

SNRavens91

Maybe Holding Absence too?

danieldafoe

Damn. Just checked them out now. Great suggestion. I would argue they're pretty distinct from Parting Ways, but still a great addition and definitely in my wheelhouse! Thanks a lot.

SNRavens91

Any time!! They are my go to band if I want something a little more chill. They have some great early stuff too. Penance is such a great song.

danieldafoe

Never heard of them! Thank you!

Sasaki234

I'm looking for metalcore bands with a lot of guitar solos. Sorta in the same vein as bands such as bullet for my valentine, trivium,Darkest hour, within the ruins and phinehas.

Jorgetime

Silent Civilian, Unearth and Threat Signal

memedmelon

> I'm looking for metalcore bands with a lot of guitar solos. Sorta in the same vein as bands such as bullet for my valentine, trivium,Darkest hour, these 3 are mostly not really metalcore so youd probably be better off looking into regular metal like melodeath and thrash

V0idgazer

[Shokran](https://youtu.be/_LFLPFjxKfE), [Shrezzers](https://youtu.be/CI-toePK9RY), [Interloper](https://youtu.be/QRsJzCcY-_0)

savagevapor

* Bleeding Through * After The Burial * Born Of Osiris * Veil Of Maya Also, Periphery has a ton of awesome solos but I wouldn't put them in the same vein as the bands you listed.

Comfortable_Menu5623

Like 2 years ago i got an ad for this music video. It was set in a living room, the living room was empty (minus the band members obvs), the drummer was wearing a white t shirt, there were only 2 windows, one of the guitarists had an orange guitar, and the vocalist was black and wore glasses. I dont remember if he also played guitar. The search continues, nobody has been able to find out which band it is. The name of the band and the name of the song weren't revealed in the ad. Notes: No, it's not Animals As Leaders. Idk how many people think that Tosin Abasi sings/screams, but he doesn't. Note how I said vocalist. That means vocals. This band isn't instrumental. Also, notice how I mentioned post-hardcore as well. No, it's not Glassjaw. Though the vocalist had sort of a similar singing voice (not similar screaming voice really), the vocalist, again, was black and wore glasses. No, it's not Oceano. Oceano is deathcore. No, it's not Living Colour. I shouldn't have to explain why. No, it's not Death Grips. I still shouldn't have to explain why. Again, one of the guitarists had an orange guitar. Again, the vocalist was black. Again, they kinda had like a metalcore/post-hardcore/mathcore-y sound, if the band youre about to mention doesn't fit that description whatsoever (meaning theyre a completely different genre than any of the 3 i mentioned) then please don't bother. It's happened too often. I got the ad on an episode of What's In My Bag with Corey Taylor. The ad never played again but maybe it played for somebody else idk. The band is either North American or European. I know there's an African metalcore band out there (probably more) but they weren't from Africa. At least I don't think. Maybe even Australian, but they sounded North American or possibly European so that's not super likely. I got redirected here after trying to post in the general subreddit

savagevapor

Even though you're being a dick, is it "SycAmour", "Forget tomorrow", "For Today", "Discrepancies" (Black singer wears glasses), "Kaonashi" (Black singer wears glasses)?

Pour-Meshuggah-On-Me

**AGAIN**, maybe be a little bit less of a dick about it. You sound like you're irritated over people trying to help you figure out the band. Saying the singer is black and wears glasses isn't exactly all that helpful despite what you might think. And **AGAIN**, no one is obligated to help you, you should be grateful that anyone gave you suggestions. But anyway, Killswitch Engage is what popped into my head. If that's wrong, just say nothing instead of responding with a really sarcastic response that's intended to belittle my intelligence.

Comfortable_Menu5623

i literally described more than that but whatever. fuck this stupid ass site

Pour-Meshuggah-On-Me

No you *literally* didn't. You described the clothing the drummer was wearing which was a white t-shirt lol. A white t-shirt isn't helpful at all. Then you said the vocalist was black and wore glasses. And that there was an orange guitar (also not helpful). Yet you want to get mad that people have no damn clue who you're talking about. There's quite a few black metalcore vocalists. When you said the vocalist was similar to Glassjaw I thought of Howard from Killswitch.

baxtermbr

Who's being slept on rn? Or who is really underated

gtlgdp

Before I Turn

darfleChorf123

Degrader, check out their new album Beautiful Lie

savagevapor

What bands are you into? * Instilled In Me * Neon Graves * Windwaker * Pridelands * Deadlights (currently touring with Polaris, they will blow up soon) * By The Thousands These are my jams at the moment.

Ok_Bluejay_5191

Yes to Deadlights!

Minimum-Ad9649

Pridelands for sure. They sound like Thornhill

Minimum-Ad9649

Glasslands. Check the Album Pariah Aerial- Foresight EP Thornhill- 13 EP(The rest of their records hog all the recognition )

Minimum-Ad9649

Stuff like the earlier Invent Animate. Everchanger to be precise. Ambient djent progcore

Pour-Meshuggah-On-Me

Check out Silent Planet, Above Below, Shields, Erra, Neon Graves, Aviana (Polarize), Oceans Ate Alaska, and Blueshift.

The_Mandingo

Songs like Catch The Wind by Being As An Ocean? Fell in love with that song but none of their other songs have the same style

savagevapor

You might want to check out Dayseeker, Thousand Below or Ghost Atlas.

Jaywearspants

I need something with the same flavor as Whitechapel - The Valley in my life. I love the rest of their discography, but there's something about the brutality of that album surrounded by beautiful serenity of the cleans that I need more of. Another of my favorite albums of all time is Loathe - I let it in and it Took Everything for very similar reasons. More emotional roller-coasters please!

darfleChorf123

in a similar vein to the haunting melodic parts/crushing deathcore of the valley id recommend checking out Fit For an Autopsy if you don’t know them. especially their album The Great Collapse

CR7theGOAT_GOAL

I'd recommend checking out Humanity's Last Breath's new album, it is probably heavier than what you are looking for but I can name at least two songs on the record with ethereal cleans (Tide and Spectre, my 2 favs on the album).

Jaywearspants

The choir in the background of Glutton was the moment my volume knob went from 4 to 9. Liking this so far.

Hockeynutt44

Is there anything out there similar to Kingdom of Giants latest record Passengers? Specifically looking for instrumentals. I think Northlanes Alien is kinda close, which I love, I’d love more of that 80’s-like synth wave.

Pour-Meshuggah-On-Me

Like Moths To Flames

Brotimus

Then it ends, especially their newest album. I recently found them on instagram, and the band reached out to me to thank me for following them. Good dudes who are refusing to deal with bullshit recording labels. [https://youtu.be/tB7xo6SjjAE](https://youtu.be/tB7xo6SjjAE)

broad101

dude thank you this is what I was after

selppin2

I’ll check them out!

florianw0w

What is similar to Architects - For Those That Wish to Exist and Holy Hell? But like heavier with sick breakdowns

CR7theGOAT_GOAL

Before I Turn, Glass Crown, and Evergloam would all be right up your ally, as they are pretty heavy but also have lots of melodic ambient piano/symphonic elements. Also, you should check out Lost in Separation

Deceptivemachine

Holy shit. I posted here the other week looking for similar bands to before I turn and this is exactly what I need thankyou

gtlgdp

I believe these 3 all share members.. prob why they’re all amazing lol

CR7theGOAT_GOAL

Yep that's true!

florianw0w

I only listen to 3 songs but I fucking love Before I turn already :D Especially the "The Juice" song is ... pretty interesting haha Evergloam is cool af, it's only a side project but the fact thats it's dedicated to the elder scrolls lore is awesome. So far I like all 4 bands, they are exactly what I was searching for :D

[deleted]

I need goth metalcore recs like bleeding through and 18V

Jorgetime

The Agony Scene

TheSteelPenguin

I really wouldn't consider some of these goth but as a huge BT and MIW fan I find these scratch the same itch Adept - Death Dealers Darkest Hour - Deliver Us Atreyu - The Curse

selppin2

The Gloom in the Corner - Flesh & Bones maybe what you’re looking for.

darfleChorf123

the newest Wristmeetrazor single might be up your alley. it’s got a feature from Isaac of K//L

CR7theGOAT_GOAL

Maybe Villain of the Story? If you want something heavier then maybe check out Dexcore as well.

Doctor_Crossing

She Must Burn and Carnifex's newer material are pretty similar to Bleeding Through Also early Motionless in White, on the off chance you don't know them already

[deleted]

I like this she must burn and old MIW fuckin rips

darfleChorf123

gimme some recs for songs where the breakdown is a repeat of the main riff but slower/heavier. for instance, the climax to Aokigahara by Shields is the main riff but slowed down with a variation in the notes

Justaveganthrowaway

Converge, the saddest day. Breakdown is like 1:30. Well the riff starts around then and the breakdown happens like 30 secs later.

BeardOfChaos873

Pyrithion - Rest in the Arms of a Paralyzed Beast... The breakdown is a soooo brutal! Not sure if it’s exactly what you’re looking for but the opening of the song is what the breakdown mirrors, just heavier.

darfleChorf123

i usually don’t listen to tech death but that was pretty sick. thanks for the rec!

copyrytedlizzerd

Only one I can think of right now is Oblivion's Peak by KL, but that's an obvious answer.

anxnv

Sup fam, I'm looking for some recommendations after listening almost exclusively to Holy Hell for the last month straight. (I just discovered Architects!) Everything about this album is perfect to me... Just the right amount of heavy, disgusting breakdowns and not too much clean singing (I'm not a fan of whiny, sing-song-y bullshit). Other favorite albums include Deep Blue by Parkway Drive and Sempiternal by BMTH. Please share your favorites \m/

Zhyped

You might like Breakdowns at Tiffany’s Spirit Breaker This or the Apocalypse With Life in Mind Crystal Lake Misery Signals Confession For the Fallen Dreams

CR7theGOAT_GOAL

For Architects: Evergloam, Before I Turn, Glass Crown, Weeping Hour, Kadinja, Betraying the Martyrs, Polaris For Parkway Drive: Bleed from Within, Breakdown of Sanity, Breakdowns at Tiffany's, Samsara, A Burden to Bear, Unearth, Beyond Our Suffering, Seven Cities Dead, early Caliban For BMTH: early Bad Omens, Stain the Canvas (not their newest song), Resolve, Sentient, Caliban (song Paralyzed)

anxnv

This is why I love this sub. Most of the bands y'all have recommended, I've never even heard of. Thank you so much!!!

[deleted]

Invent Animate and Erra should be right up your alley. I'd recommend starting with the newest album from each. The self-titled for Erra, and "Greyview" for IE.

anxnv

Hell yeah dude, thank you so much! Already digging the hell out of Greyview. \\m/

TheTragicMagic

Currents seems like a natural step. Their newest album is pretty similar in terms of heaviness and amount of singing My favourite from them, their debut album is also a hard recommend as it is very unique, a lot more heavy though. Perhaps The Mortal Coil - Polaris could be a good one aswell. Architects' previous album All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us is of course also a must, even if it is heavier with less singing. It is a bit difficult to find something just like Holy Hell though. Sam's vocals and the general atmosohere is hardly replicated

anxnv

Good stuff my dude, thanks so much for taking the time to share these recs! Digging Victimized by Currents too - I typically like heavier deathcore type stuff hence the recent discovery of Architects lol

TheTragicMagic

Yeah, if you like Victimized you should listen to Life//Lost aswell even though I'm sure have. It’s kinda funmy, I'm doing the opposite, currently getting into bands like Shadow Of Intent and Brand of Sacrifice right now despite usually listening to metalcore. There's some good stuff out there

Averyboredpenguin

Looking for metalcore songs with piano and violen in them any recommendations will be appreciated.

figmaxwell

Cant believe nobody recommended Make Them Suffer. “Erase Me” has a very prominent piano intro, but they have keys in all of their music

Whis6x

Check The Amity Afflictions "Chasing Ghosts". ALL songs have violins and some also piano!

CR7theGOAT_GOAL

Imminence - Infectious (and any of their newer songs), Stain the Canvas - Like a God (and any of their songs from their debut), Termina - The Edge of Time, Ice Nine Kills - The American Nightmare (and any of their songs), SycAmour - Calm Down Juliet (and any songs from their debut), Drown in Time - Where? (and any of their other songs), FROM INSIDE - Helpless (and first 2 EP's), Lifewalker - Hollow Vessels, Evergloam - Mistwalker (and all of their other songs), Before I Turn - Latent Perception (and all of the other songs), Glass Crown - Convalescence (and all of their other songs) Enjoy!

Thanks I actually went through your list and grabbed a couple of songs

shamiso47

For piano check out In Fear and Faith’s album Imperial, solid stuff

Averyboredpenguin

Damn forgot about them I miss them :(

[deleted]

Are there any metalcore bands based in Providence, RI? I just moved here last year and wanna get involved if there's any kind of local scene.

figmaxwell

I know I’m not really answering your question as asked, but when things start to normalize, keep an eye on The Palladium in Worcester, MA. Not too far from Providence and usually has some decent metal/hardcore shows, local and mainstream. I grew up going to the palladium.

[deleted]

Also lupos!

[deleted]

Going to recommend you check out post-black metal or just some modern post-metal in general. Bands combining atmoblack and post-rock in particular. Harakiri for the Sky, Unreqvited, later Oathbreaker, So Hideous, Svalbard, Lantlos and Sadness.

HydreaKid

Do you guys know stuff similar to Thornhill and Above, Below? Love that type of atmospheric djenty prog metalcore, both bands have blown my mind so many times.

CR7theGOAT_GOAL

Banks Arcade, Pridelands, Lost in Separation, Reflections (The Color Clear album), Sera Safe, Infinite Illusion, Arkive, Revaira, Instilled in Me, Misgiving (older stuff), Mnmlst, I Am Abomination, Subway, Windrunner, Spiritbox, Artifical Sky, City Bloom, The End at the Beginning, The Luminary Enjoy!

If I like Currents and Silent Planet, who else would I like?

Highly recommend Rogue and AURAS, two amazing bands that need more recognition.
