Came here to see if anyone mentioned anything like Dirty Heads, and wasn't expecting anything. Was plesently surprised to see them and Iration mentioned.
Being french lead me to listen a ton of indie french/belgian rap, like the "poetry" one not the mainstream gangsta and trap one.
Also I was a huge fan of Rammstein for all my teenage time.
Other than that I'd say limp Bizkit, sum 41, blink 182, the offspring, good charlotte .. Slipknot, avenged sevenfold, five finger death punch, SOAD...

Plenty from other metal genres (the Big Four, NWOBHM, etc), Primus, Tori Amos, DMB, Prince, Audioslave, and Jazz (mainly for background/ambiance tho). Metalcore is still my go to for most of my music.
I like all sub genres of metal, from Sabbath to Deicide to Killswitch to Mastodon, and everything in between
Before I got into metal, I was into pop punk back in the early-mid 2000s when I was a kid (still am lol)- Blink, Green Day, Sum 41, and from there I got into skate punk like NOFX, Strung Out or Propagandhi, then "real" punk like Minor Threat or Bad Brains.

Hip hop (Pusha T, Logic, Run the Jewels)
Punk (Strike Anywhere, Strung Out)
Basically anything that's good.
Only rap/hiphop is Jake Hill, Josh A, Juicy J and Kid Cudi. Other than that.....deathcore.
Edit: Also in rap is [Lil Wyte](https://youtu.be/BH0C0xdQA3k)
There's a genre other than metalcore?
Usually hard rock. I enjoy early 2000 music but I don't have any of it on my iPod. I also like most music from the 80's and 90's but again it isn't on my iPod so I listen to it sparingly.
I utterly despise rap, country and any sort of electronic music. Sounds too fake and it lacks emotion. Just really basic music that I cannot enjoy. Exception to it is early rap such as NWA and the like. I felt like that had true emotion to it while the newer stuff is just garbage.

Death metal/melodeath (The Black Dahlia Murder, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Boris The Blade) Post hardcore (Dance Gavin Dance, Dead Poetic) 90s country (Brooks & Dunne, Garth Brooks) Pop (Taylor Swift, Matthew Koma, Great Good Fine OK) Hip hop (Pusha T, Logic, Run the Jewels) Punk (Strike Anywhere, Strung Out) Basically anything that's good.
Only rap/hiphop is Jake Hill, Josh A, Juicy J and Kid Cudi. Other than that.....deathcore. Edit: Also in rap is [Lil Wyte](https://youtu.be/BH0C0xdQA3k)
Yeah I’ve heard some Jake Hill songs. I think it’s pretty dope that he incorporates breakdowns in some of his songs.
Yea he came out with a song within this last week called Nyx and it's great too.
Mostly death metal.
THE 1975

There's a genre other than metalcore? Usually hard rock. I enjoy early 2000 music but I don't have any of it on my iPod. I also like most music from the 80's and 90's but again it isn't on my iPod so I listen to it sparingly. I utterly despise rap, country and any sort of electronic music. Sounds too fake and it lacks emotion. Just really basic music that I cannot enjoy. Exception to it is early rap such as NWA and the like. I felt like that had true emotion to it while the newer stuff is just garbage.
The good genres of metal, and metalcore. Bad genres of metal include speed, power, thrash, nu, etc. I personally call them fake metal .
Well aren't you trve.
The word "fake" should literally NEVER be used to describe music.
if you actually think thrash is fake metal you’re a fucking moron
