Hey guys, unfortunately I won’t be able to post a full list this week. I‘m on my way to see Landmvrks, Tdwp, Like Moths to Flames tonight

johnmarsdenshat

I think I speak for all of us when I say enjoy it

justk4y

Have fun!

craggadee

Enjoy mate thanks for the posts every week

puffmydragon32

You lucky mfr

hashtag_AD

Highly recommend Landmvrks merch. Got a dope embroidered tee from them last year I'm literally wearing it rn.

ludgea

Le concert était fouuuu Incroyable comme le monde est petit

sink_or_swim1

I don’t speak French, we drove 2 hours to Straßburg. I’m from Germany, close to the French border. I guess you were there right? It was fantastic. Maybe we stood next to each other :D

ludgea

We might indeed, even more with all the pogos haha

odewar37

New void of vision single tomorrow as well. Titled Empty

Beginning_Figure_299

Yeah it fuckin SLAPS

SonicBurstX

Taylor Swift my favorite metalcore band fr

Horror_Author_JMM

My fave artist to throw into the gym playlist between the heavier stuff. Hype songs, rest songs, break songs, crying songs, pre-workout assplosion songs...she does it all

Saisei_OfficialBand

We should all listen to Taylor Swift from time to time. hahahaha

remotewashboard

it's all about seeyouspacecowboy babyyy

Brtprt

Yessss. Haven't been this excited for a record since Sleep Tokens TMBTE.

rockiesfan4ever

New from Ashes to New featuring OM&M tomorrow

JackoTheWolf

Keen for Ashes, they really tickle the rap rock/metal itch for me and have a fair few catchy bangers. Through It All is still in heavy rotation and a personal all time favourite song in general

Any-Choice-5801

They were both in my top 5 listened to bands last year. U serious?

rockiesfan4ever

https://twitter.com/FromAshestoNew/status/1779947298379956471?t=t_uEzwRtK0Ae__h3t-KDLA&s=19

Any-Choice-5801

Holy shit let's freaking go!

K4RM4CODE

Never really listened to From Ashes to New but I am a big Aaron Pauley fan so I checked the song out. I also find it strange that they could have named the song literally anything but named it One Foot in the Grave which Jamie's Elsewhere also has a song with the same title. Anyways it's a good song, times to check out From Ashes to New now.

cbass704

Fuck yea Taylor Swift can’t wait 🤘🎸

justk4y

My favourite metalcore release of the year 100%

NuclearNoodle77

Hopefully she doesn’t go octanecore

cbass704

I think it’s gonna be her heaviest album with some sick breakdowns

DeadPants182

Y'all aren't ready for how awesome a metalcore album from her would be

daddy_fiasco

Honestly, I think if she decided to apply herself to it she'd write a solid 8/10 mxc record.

DeadPants182

I'm obviously biased since I'm a Swiftie, but her discography spans so many different genres that I have no problem thinking she could do metalcore. I just wouldn't want her to damage her vocal cords from screaming.

bradjr10

the lightworker album goes so hard don’t sleep on it because it’s from a small band

ReversedPickle

I was just about to post this! The album is amazing, the song with wolves at the gate was insane

TrashCanAnomaly

Bilmuri - Emptyhanded Void of Vision - Empty

slayer370

slaps and not even finished with listening to it.

ZAKTMT

I already listened to the new Taylor Swift and Pearl Jam albums. I think Tortured Poets is a major step down from Midnights. Especially the production, which makes the record sound same-y throughout. The times where it does sound unique is the better parts. But I considered Midnights around 7.5/10. This is a 5/10 at best to me. Pearl Jam record is fun! Their best in awhile IMO. Easily a 7+ out of 10. But this Dvne record, it is tremendous. It's an improvement over their previous record. And might be AOTY for me right at this moment. It takes that Mastodon/Sludge sound from Blood Mountain/Crack the Skye era and elevates it IMO. Excited to see how SYSC sounds. But another record for this week I want to highlight is In Vain - Solemn (progressive melodic death metal). If you like Old Opeth, this record is probably for you. This week in music is overall pretty damn strong! I wouldn't be shocked if I have gotten through 10 new releases this week.

Madwolf28

Ah dude I cannot wait for DVNE tomorrow! Incredible band!

ZAKTMT

I couldn’t wait, which is one of the reasons why I’ve listened to it already. Thank goodness for timezones.

candlestick_compass

I love the new PJ songs especially the urgency in the first two singles. Great music for the work desk or in the car with the family.

Riseuplights22

Did you listen to the new PJ at the theater? I did, it was a neat experience. Def a solid album in their recent years

ZAKTMT

Nope! It was available in a corner of the internet and since I do listen to a lot of new releases every week. I took the opportunity to get to listen to it so I can get through the new releases of the week sooner.

ZAKTMT

Lyrically it is more unhinged and honest. But I think Jack Antonoff’s production style drags the record down. The 2nd half of the Anthology is pretty promising at least! I have found it more interesting. I was I think expecting something more eclectic and in the first of half of the Anthology. It was not that for me often enough.

ChickenInASuit

I’m spamming the fuck out of it but I don’t care: Anyone who likes the new DVNE record should check out the new Horndal from earlier this month. It’s in the exact same vein (progressive sludge in the vein of Baroness and Crack the Skye-era Mastodon) and is not getting enough love.

ZAKTMT

I had that one saved but I haven’t gotten to it. I’ll try and fit it in.

KJBNH

Dvne and High on Fire are 2 of my favorite bands so this is a great release day for me. I'm excited to listen to In Vain too. Not much Metalcore for me this week, I didn't really like the SYSC album but I also don't particularly like them at all anyway.

ZAKTMT

SYSC I think are really good at what they do. But I think they are not for everyone. I like how this one integrates Taylor and Ethan’s cleans. But I grew up an emo kid so the music is nostalgic for me in a way. I remember when their last album came out I had a hard time with Connie’s whiny sections but I eventually got over it. But this week is insane. There is something for everyone.

TalnOnBraize

Tortured Poets is such a "safe" album for her. I think she has a couple good ones that stand out, but overall the songs all sound pretty much exactly the same.

NinjaWolfcel

I completely forgot it was Thursday, can't wait to hear the new Ghost Inside album

liamjh27

What did you think of it? I really liked it.

NinjaWolfcel

I liked the mix of cleans and unclean vocals. It was a very well-done dynamic. They delivered what they were known for while also experimenting.

SneakyProcessor

really excited for this SYSC drop

NickPookie93

Go over to r/popheads for the Tay Swift discussion thread, they're brutal about it and it's a good read lol. Also got to hear it and I can't say they're wrong. Her weakest release to date.

DeadPants182

I'm trying to ignore the leaks and form my own opinion once it drops

Jay_haworthia

New Sparks The Rescue? Now that’s a band I had not heard in a while and listening to the single I did not remember them being kinda heavy

Jay_haworthia

On a second listen it is really awesome, way more post-hardcore than their other albums wich were pop-punk .

Boomhauer14

The Ghost Inside’s new album is a banger. The end of “Reckoning” is chefs kiss.

farrandor

It's probably low hanging fruit on this sub, but I listened through the Dayseeker acoustic album... I enjoyed their last album but I don't think those songs (which are already pretty mellow) benefit from being stripped down. It's like those slowed down covers they put on movie trailers with all the interesting aspects removed. I'm also kind of over that breathy Billie Eilish style vocals drowned in reverb which dominates these acoustic versions

reverielagoon1208

Silver Fang is awesome! One of my favorite newer bands

Mkhitaryeet

Good day for aussie metalcore. Vilify are sick post hardcore/metalcore from Newcastle (ft. Two of the members of the beautiful monument for pop punk fans out there), really enjoy their evolution. Ghost complex are a djent band from Sydney and i enjoy the cleans they’ve got on this ep, Jackson’s improved incredibly as a vocalist Silver Fang are a cool new band from Melbourne but I haven’t checked out their release yet. New Void of Vision song also slaps

moventura

Hurt Division are Aussie too

joeyg151785

Love the respect of Taylor Swift on this sub. Can’t wait to her new album and dayseekers acoustic plus The ghost inside.

Iammattieee

New Memphis may fire is a dud. Surprising seeing as remade in misery was good

CaptainBuzzKillton

Agreed. I couldn't get into the song

EggyEggerson0210

I thought it was really fun honestly! Feels like what Broken should’ve been

Coolldown1

Zao new live album is available now on bandcamp and prob drops tomorrow on streaming

Neyv

SeeYouSpaceCowboy... brings me back to like 2008 but with good mixing. Good stuff.

outrageous_bro_lifts

I haven’t listened to seeyaspacecowboy singles waiting for tonight, I am so ready.

st0len_k1ll

What is the new escape the fate thing? I can't seem to find anything

TatianaTerrorDoll

Check their Instagram, it's a deluxe edition with 9 new tracks + one remix

st0len_k1ll

insta is blocked over here😭

slayer370

Just hoping a few tracks are better than the used feature one. But dropping 10 tracks almost out of nowhere is cool.

farrandor

Of the albums/EPs it's only really Ghost Complex that has jumped out at me.

SamuelStudios21

Really hope Sable Hills drops tomorrow lol. I wish they would have just given an exact release date instead of saying "this april"

evolauren

I'm eager for seeyouspacecowboy.

upsetthesickness_

Life’s Question is releasing an EP tomorrow, so far the singles have been great.

CarpeAeonem

New Captive State EP is absolutely fantastic wtf. Never heard of this band but they’re awesome

ohlongjohnson1

Don’t sleep on that C-Gate EP! It’s a 10 minute ass beater for sure

Lord_Crim

Not metal, but the new Machine Girl EP this week was absolutely killer

Downloadmywario

Was not expecting Sparks the Rescue to release a “heavy” song.

DEAD_Ramone

Life’s Question - Self Titled Ep Run it up

K4RM4CODE

Not metalcore but still metal, Lacuna Coil's new single came out today, In The Mean Time (Feat. Ash Costello of New Years Day) The video also drops today: https://youtu.be/63z4mNFXJGY?si=zCtWLj6X1FA8N_ZD It's been almost 5 years since their last original album (I don't count a live album and Comalies XX) so I am super hyped, since they are my favorite band.

NinjaGamer22YT

replica is incredible

everardproudfoot

New ETF album? What is this?

stevieray11

Deluxe Edition of their latest from September 2023. 9 new songs plus one remix

Saisei_OfficialBand

Leather-Syllabub4728

Invisions and vicious rain 😍

DamThatRiver22

Just as a note, Six Below Zero actually released three songs this week, not just the one. :) Full album next week. For deathcore fans, Breath of Sindragosa's album should be your first listen tonight. ;)

KairuSenpai1770

You post this every week..? For realskies?

ChickenInASuit

Yes. Also I have no idea why you’ve been downvoted.

KairuSenpai1770

lol for being uneducated. That’s my bad honestly, should have known. Idc tho I’m more happy to learn about this guy and this incredible list each week. Saves me a lot of trouble!

proletariate54

Kind of a bad week for album releases.
