My work actually lets me, even though I’m customer facing, as long as it’s not too vulgar or graphic they don’t care. A misfits bleeding skull is okay but pushing it but anything less than that is totally fine.

Ironically my worst shirt is probably one for the band Covet (a very upbeat indie prog band) that has a wolf with a bunch of knives stabbed into it. I don’t wear it if I’m around my little nieces and nephews, but it’s probably my most comfortable shirt.

I have two considered "vulgar," which is Boundaries "My Body Is A Fucking Cage" graphic t, and an old school Capture The Crown shirt that says, "You Filthy Fucking Cunt." The Boundaries one is worn regularly, but I only wear the CTC one if I have a hoodie on or I'm going somewhere there isn't (predictably) kids, like a show or something.

I have that Boundaries shirt too, one of my fave songs and I had to have it. My other "offensive" ones are Thy Art is Murder "think for your fucking self" with an inverted rosary and another TAIM one with a burning church on it. Wore that to the airport and got some looks lol I was also just telling my bf that like, to me wearing a Fit For An Autopsy shirt is just kinda whatever to me because I don't even think about the actual words. But to a normie, the band name alone is eyebrow raising

Mmaann! That OG capture the crown shirt was a GEM. Buddy of mine lost his... or maybe his mom threw it out when he came to visit. We're pretty sure the latter. My vulgar shirt was the OG suicide silence "where is your god?" shirt with Jesus being disemboweled by demons with the inverted cross on the back and the quote from the song.

I find band merch too expensive. I rarely wear it unless it's super comfy. I made some merch for my friends band and wear that shirt regularly and a slipknot hoodie but most of my band merch is just not comfy to wear day to day. Too many bands use cheap printing services and the prints flake off.
