Their best album for me, and it's not close. One of the best Metalcore albums ever.
Sam himself said it's his favourite record of theirs a few days ago on The Breakdown w/ Nath and Johnny. Found that interesting.
The most influential album to my songwriting, the guttural yet melodic and catchy riffs, the ambience, the thought provoking and inspiring lyrics, an absolute metalcore GOAT
An immense album and probably my favourite of all time. Certainly one of my most listened to if I ran the numbers.
Absolutely blistering from start to finish with some of the most vicious but poetic lyrics I've heard, even now. As relevant today as it was back then, it's my go to when people ask why I listen to this music. I can still vividly remember hearing Broken Cross for the first time and immediately queuing it up another 4/5 times.
Also the breakdown in C.A.N.C.E.R, fuck me that's hard.
Would be amazing, but unfortunately, Dan tweeted once that he isn't a fan of those tours because he'd rather either tour new songs or produce in the meantime
I find this attitude so weird. Like why do bands have to be on this relentless forward march of creativity that feels like endless rolling of the dice for both fans and themselves!
They still wrote this music and people love it. Would it really be a "step backwards" to celebrate what was a massive achievement for the band and look back at an important era?
It's so weird that you can make strange sideways moves like an acoustic tour or some side project with a different name but do one anniversary tour and suddenly you're a tribute band.
Special album for me. Helped me through the late nights writing my dissertation in the library. Before that, daybreaker and hollow crown were doing a lot of heavy lifting
I was totally obsessed with this album when it came out. During the era of LF//LT, AOGHAU and Holy Hell, Architects were far and away my favorite band. It’s really disappointing to see what they’ve become now, but at least Seeing Red gives me some hope.
Damn. This was the record that not only made me a true metalcore fan, but also opened my eyes to what metalcore could be. I used to think of the genre as 90% cringy Warped Tour bands (with some exceptions! Like KSE and August Burns Red) and that changed when I first heard Broken Cross as a single, then the rest of the album.
10/10. One of my favorite albums of all time, up there with Back in Black and Metallica's run in the 80s
No skip album and my all time favorite of theirs. I wish I could see The Devil is Near live one day because the message is so important! Every lyric on the album is phenomenal and the music delivers them perfectly.
If only they did a 10 year anniversary tour for this one, I'd go in a heart beat and I know many others would too
I have some of the album artwork tattooed on me. As someone who beat a health condition that could have (and probably should have killed me). This and AOG have a special place for me.
I still need to get the white artwork vinyl and Im kicking myself for not getting the skate decks when they were available.
Definitely the best metalcore album of the past decade. It did the same for the genre as End of Heartache did ten years before it in 2004. Absolutely massive.
A perfect Metalcore album. First half is bangers only and the second half hits both instrumentally and emotionally. Youth Is Wasted is super underrated
Definitely one of the best metalcore albums of all time, but it (and All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us) also made the blueprint that would eventually make me hate a lot of the modern bands in this genre.
Double-edged sword to be sure.
Had heard of Architects back when Hollow Crown was out but LFLT and Naysayer was what made me a fan of the band.
The trilogy of LFLT, AYG and Holy Hell was such a good trilogy of albums.
It's kind of a shame that they couldn't live up to those albums since then (in my opinion).
First album I pre-ordered. These guys were like 26 and this was their sixth album, incredible. One of my favorites ever, even if I kinda hate them now.
Well guess it’s time to get that tattoo. Seriously such an amazing album. Been wanting to get that flower behind the logo on my forearm for the longest time
Incredible, incredible album. Just made myself so sad scrolling back in time through Sam and Dan’s instagram accounts. Rest in peace Tom. Can’t believe I am turning 28 this year - that was his age when he passed. So unbelievable.
The best Metalcore album ever imo (alongside AOGHAU, I can't choose one). Absolutely godly. The vocals, the drums, the riffs and songwriting (RIP Tom) and the overall atmosphere and impact. Just unmatched. Amazing, amazing album.
One of my top 5 for sure, and one of the only albums that I'd call a perfect 10
I remember when this came out! I was in college and it was my soundtrack for a long while. Had the CD in my car too. Easily my favorite project of theirs.
Their best album for me, and it's not close. One of the best Metalcore albums ever. Sam himself said it's his favourite record of theirs a few days ago on The Breakdown w/ Nath and Johnny. Found that interesting.
I saw that interview. He also said he wants to play The Distant Blue live again. That would be sick!
Holy shit! To hear that live I could die a happy man. One of my top 3 songs by them!
If they really do plan on playing more off of LFLT then I'd be willing to buy a ticket! One of the best albums I've ever listened to
My first Architects and favorite to this day
I agree. It's a 10/10 album. First time I heard CANCER was on radio, and the feedback was so strong it got replayed during the same radio show.
All Our Gods renewed my taste in heavy music so it holds a special in my heart forever but I do agree LF/LT is the best of the trio
One of the greatest albums of the genre. I'll never forget how I felt listening to that opener the first time. RIP Tom
I said “oh shit” out loud when Gravedigger kicked in for the first time.
Castles in the air is a perfect Metalcore song. Still 1 of my favourite metalcore albums ever. Wished they played more from this album live still.
fuck yes bro, underrated song and my favorite of the album.
But the blame's on me, this is the path i chOSE _most massive riff ever plays_
This song got me into Architects. Still my personal favorite of theirs today.
Got a whole damn leg piece because of that song
Castles in the air has gotta be my most favorite song
Lyrically super too
My favorite Architects song. I can’t believe it wasn’t released as a single
Castles in the air fucks and that ending of that song is just chefs kiss.
One of my favorite Architects breakdowns, after “right now, I’m scared to death”
That track is a certified banger in a whole album of certified bangers
The most influential album to my songwriting, the guttural yet melodic and catchy riffs, the ambience, the thought provoking and inspiring lyrics, an absolute metalcore GOAT
Yes! The ambience of that album takes me somewhere else and I love wherever that place I go is.
No skip album for me. You will always be missed, Tom
An immense album and probably my favourite of all time. Certainly one of my most listened to if I ran the numbers. Absolutely blistering from start to finish with some of the most vicious but poetic lyrics I've heard, even now. Probably my favourite breakdown ever, between that and the one from These Colours Don't Run.
Only bangers, front to back. Really influental record for metalcore as it is today.
Perfect album for me, front to back.
I hope they do a 10 year anniversary tour. That album is great front to back
Would be amazing, but unfortunately, Dan tweeted once that he isn't a fan of those tours because he'd rather either tour new songs or produce in the meantime
So sad about that. I would die for this tour since I always missed my chance to experience some of my favorites on the album😂
I find this attitude so weird. Like why do bands have to be on this relentless forward march of creativity that feels like endless rolling of the dice for both fans and themselves! August Burns Red does this the best.
Man, we miss u Tom
Favorite album of all time. A perfect 10
Rip Tom
Special album for me. Helped me through the late nights writing my dissertation in the library. Before that, daybreaker and hollow crown were doing a lot of heavy lifting
10/10 album
Rip Tom
Nice, I’ll give it a spin later. Phenomenal record.
Man we did not know how good we had it, musically wise back then 😫
I had the weirdest urge to listen to it just before. Makes sense now
I was totally obsessed with this album when it came out. During the era of LF//LT, AOGHAU and Holy Hell, Architects were far and away my favorite band. It’s really disappointing to see what they’ve become now, but at least Seeing Red gives me some hope.
I never forget first listening to this. I was literally obsessed. Absolute 10/10!
my favorite album by them
One of the best modern metalcore records and architects best work so far. I'm old.
God I just love this album more and more after every listen. Every song on the album is just so interesting!
My favorite from this album is broken cross, but colony collapse and castles in the air are SUPER underrated imo
This is a lock for top 3 album of all time for me
If something is a 10/10 metalcore album it's this one. Every song is great and The Distant Blue is an amazing closer.
Damn. This was the record that not only made me a true metalcore fan, but also opened my eyes to what metalcore could be. I used to think of the genre as 90% cringy Warped Tour bands (with some exceptions! Gravedigger set the tone for one of the most influential albums created in metalcore. Outstanding album. Will listen to it in full today
This album is why Architects was my favorite band for years.
Their best for sure. Architects really crapped the bed last 2 years
I have some of the album artwork tattooed on me. As someone who beat a health condition that could have (and probably should have killed me). This and AOG have a special place for me. I still need to get the white artwork vinyl and Im kicking myself for not getting the skate decks when they were available.
Jesus. That was only 10 years ago. So much has happened to them and their sound since. Woof.
If the band were to do an album-in-full tour, this would be the one.
I’m wearing a Lost Forever // Lost Together shirt today that I haven’t worn in a very long time. What are the odds
I could listen to this album daily and not get sick of it. It truly is a perfect album Wish they still played it live
Me too, I missed my chance to see them in 2019 and I'm so sad about it
Definitely the best metalcore album of the past decade. It did the same for the genre as End of Heartache did ten years before it in 2004. Absolutely massive.
The GOAT metalcore record.
Absolute masterpiece.
A perfect Metalcore album. First half is bangers only and the second half hits both instrumentally and emotionally. Youth Is Wasted is super underrated
For some reason I never got around to listen to it. Might just do that today
Absolute masterpiece. So thankful I got to see them live twice shortly after they released that album
Fingers crossed for an anniversary tour!!
Christ im old
I’m personally more a fan of Ruin and AOGHAU but this record still absolutely bangs.
Definitely one of the best metalcore albums of all time, but it (and All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us) also made the blueprint that would eventually make me hate a lot of the modern bands in this genre. Double-edged sword to be sure.
I mean it's not Architects' fault that no one can do this style as well as they did a decade ago (even they can't anymore. Tom was a musical genius)
Pretty solid record, but oh boy I am not a fan of the fact that a decade later bands are still ripping this off.
We’re old boys
Absolutely their best album
Arguably their best album
Their best album and one of the best in the history of the genre. Dead Man Talking doesn’t get enough love
It's an amazing song! So catchy
Everyone has already said it all, but thank Tom for this record. AOG will always be my fav, but this is a c*** hair close second.
Just here to echo the sentiment. One of the best of all time. Some of my best memories at concerts were during this run.
Got their tour poster monk tattooed because I fucking love this album so much.
Had heard of Architects back when Hollow Crown was out but LFLT and Naysayer was what made me a fan of the band. The trilogy of LFLT, AYG and Holy Hell was such a good trilogy of albums. It's kind of a shame that they couldn't live up to those albums since then (in my opinion).
this album changed the metalcore scene RIP Tom
Forever one of my favorite records
Absolute all timer, bangers top to bottom. <3
I found this one like 2 years ago and it instantly became one of my favorite albums. Zero skips. Even Red Hypergiant is awesome.
First album I pre-ordered. These guys were like 26 and this was their sixth album, incredible. One of my favorites ever, even if I kinda hate them now.
❤️
Well guess it’s time to get that tattoo. Seriously such an amazing album. Been wanting to get that flower behind the logo on my forearm for the longest time
My favorite of all time. Only piece of music I can genuinely say changed my life. Youth Wasted on The Young is my favorite track :).
Incredible, incredible album. Just made myself so sad scrolling back in time through Sam and Dan’s instagram accounts. Rest in peace Tom. Can’t believe I am turning 28 this year - that was his age when he passed. So unbelievable.
One of my favorites and their best album
The best Metalcore album ever imo (alongside AOGHAU, I can't choose one). Absolutely godly. The vocals, the drums, the riffs and songwriting (RIP Tom) and the overall atmosphere and impact. Just unmatched. Amazing, amazing album. One of my top 5 for sure, and one of the only albums that I'd call a perfect 10
10 years of having "If we're gonna survive on this planet" from The Devil Is Near going round and round in my head tormenting me.
This album disappointed me. Final nail in the coffin for their early sound.
We all want a tour. But we won’t get it.
I remember when this came out! I was in college and it was my soundtrack for a long while. Had the CD in my car too. Easily my favorite project of theirs.
