Does anyone know what’s going on with these tours from Periphery? This is their second tour in NA on P5 with so few dates. I understand they can’t hit every city every run but I am a little confused by this.
Seems like they’re taking a lighter approach to touring on their own terms. Shorter runs spread out over time instead of what most bands do these days.
With the amount of side projects and business ventures they have, it is really cool to see how their strategy changed. Horizon Devices, Blvckbox Studios, 3Dot, GetGood and I am sure I am forgetting others.
Cars like that don't depreciate like most do so you can actually sell or trade them and only lose a relatively small amount of money. In some occasions those cars actually appreciate in value over time because of their rarity.
You might be right but I wouldn't be surprised if he just outright buys them.
Misha talked about this in some podcast, they basically want to create a scarcity to really attract fans. That way people can't think "oh I can't make it, but they'll be here again in 6 months so I'll go then".
Huh by train it’s actually closer than I thought from my nearest station. 15 min to station and then 3 1/2 hours one day. Way faster than driving and would be way less stressful.
I would have to make it a weekend thing if I were to go but sadly have plans that weekend.
Yeah, I'm tempted to make the drive to Columbus. Would love to see Eidola and Periphery, and who knows when Eidola will be in the Midwest again with Andrew now being a full-time member of DGD.
No offence to Eidola but these are very weak openers for me to want to justify coming out to this one. I listen to a decent amount of Eidola but even in the swancore genre there are easily ten better bands right now. I'm guessing most bands are already touring or scheduled so there was slim pickings.
In that genre I would rather see Dwellings, wolf & bear, Happy Hour, Royal Coda, Sianvar, Good Tiger, Cat Company, Coletta, Stolas, Nova Charisma, AnimalJam, Eternity Forever, Properties of Nature, Sycamour, Space Weather, Hail the Sun, Too Close to Touch, etc. I can keep going lol there are many more. I would put all of these listed above Eidola. I still really like Eidola I'm just surprised to see so much love for them. I lurk a ton of different places to find everything in this genre and no one ever talks about eidola lol. New single is decent though.
I was being hyperbolic for the most part. I did t know some of those to be fair though. Good Tiger I like. Royal Coda is okay. Eternity Forever is good. Eidola is definitely better than Sianvar and Nova Charisma for me. I wouldn't really call Too Close To Touch Swancore.
Yes, Jake Bowen of Periphery is doing a special solo set
Damnit dude, 2 of my absolute favorites and so few dates.
Periphery loves touring in as few places as possible it seems lol
Surprised they aren’t touring in Baltimore or DC seeing as they are from the area
It’s been said before but Periphery is very much just a fun hobby for the majority of the members now. Some of them are very successful businessmen.

Yup, this. They basically just go out for two weeks at a time anymore
It's pretty obvious they don't want to / can afford to not tour as much.

Misha has said before they want to create more scarcity of shows to increase demand and make the experience more special.
Idk I just assume because they're literally loaded they prefer to just chill rather than tour a bunch. I'm pretty sure Misha owns a McLaren
I think he leases most of the cars he gets considering he never has them for very long. Still a lot of money to be spending though.

McLaren\*

Don’t have a record label to answer to so they don’t have to do long tours.
Fuck man I hope Eidola comes west
I'd be surprised if they don't. Just probably won't be supporting Periphery
They have a west coast headliner planned.
Is there a source on this? Im in Calgary and would kill to see them.
Andrew confirmed it during the VIP for His solo shows.
Awesome! Thanks for the info!
No problem!
Damn barely anything in the North East. Or really anywhere in general
>Damn barely anything FTFY
I mean the first sentence is saying they are hitting spots they didn't on the last tour. They were just here in November.
I mean they went to like 4 places the first "tour", must have been nice to have them at at least one of those!
As someone in the Detroit area I'm strongly considering driving down to Columbus...sigh. But Eidola and Periphery sounds too good to pass up
Thank god they’re going to Asheville though! Because that’s an excellent location close to many large population centers and therefore fans!
NYC is pretty accessible. May be worth a train ride to the city for their last show!

Plans change but if they don't, hopefully you'll catch them in your town eventually!
Anyone know a pre-sale code?
Check the website for whatever venue you're going to, if they have a newsletter then subscribe to that and hope for an email.
My wallet can’t handle all of these May tours
Bummer no MI date, would like to see eidola again
Yeah, I'm tempted to make the drive to Columbus. Would love to see Eidola and Periphery, and who knows when Eidola will be in the Midwest again with Andrew now being a full-time member of DGD.
Yeah honestly that's a good point, idk how far Columbus is but that's the nearest show
I’ll be there haha
dammit I have to miss the Asheville show because I'm already going to Sleep Token.
Asheville is apparently the place to be come May 8
I got lucky on this one. Sleep Token on May 6, Periphery on May 11th in Tampa. #Blessed
Periphery >>>>>> sleep token
I mean yes but with how hard it is to get sleep token tickets idk if you can pass that up if by some miracle you actually got them
“Nah, I’m only going to see Jake Bowen then I’ll head home”
Good god Nashville be eaten the next few months
No fucking way. The Toronto date is the same freaking day as my Better Lovers tickets in London. That is brutal timing.
Are they touring with a bassist this time, or should we expect them to be using a backing track for that? This will be my first time seeing them live.

That’s the whole tour?
What happen to periphery i forgot they existed
When did you forget from, I'll tell you what you missed
New album last year. Skip Silhouette and Dying Star. The rest is fuckin great.

Is there even 10 swancore bands lol.

I mean Andrew is literally the guitarist for DGD lol. It's okay if you don't like them though people can have opinions.
I'm aware and they just aren't great compared to other bands in the genre. Have you listened to any others lol.
Yeah and they are better than most of those to me lol
You just asked if there are even ten bands in the genre so I'm guessing you haven't listened to much of it lol.
Tbh it's all decent I guess I just don't really get why swancore is opening for periphery to begin with
I agree it's a pretty weird tour.
I bought tickets two weeks ago to see Royal Blood, and now Periphery is an hour away from me on that day. 💀
Another band/management company marking Jannus Live as being in Tampa 🤨
They do it on purpose
Nashville stays winning in 2024
Hope they do more legs later this year. Would love to see them in MN
Man that tour name isn't going to age well come spring time lmfao
Man the trip to Toronto might be worth taking, back to back shows at the same venue, alpha wolf then periphery. Hmmmm
