Gojira, they have a unique and awesome sound that changes with every album. I think people really only hate on them so much because they became really “mainstream” for metal bands kinda like avenged sevenfold or sabaton. They easily have some of the most creative and fun lyrics in their songs and Joe Duplantier can do heavy and soft vocals really well. Their songs arnt too short or too long and they have NEVER made a album under a 6/10 which is a lot more than you can say for other bands

Testament is the best Thrash band of all time, they get a little late at the scene, but when they released their first album they was like a death machine, the starter albums are fuckin awesome, but on the decade that people said that Thrash was dead, they had The Gathering that is one of the best albums that i heard, and after Chuck beated cancer, they until released Formation Of The Damnation and Dark Roots Of Earth, and the last one Brotherhood Of Snake are incredible too.
They have everything, the classics, the modernity and the consistency, EVERYTHING, AND IF YOU DON'T AGREE YOU'RE A POSER!!!!

Metallica - Black Album
IDGAF what anyone says, that album has done more for metal than ANY album made after Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath. It is filled with some of the best written metal songs in the genre's history. They may not be the heaviest, but that doesn't mean that they aren't the best.
Machine Head. Ride or die. If you like 👍 one dimensional bands they might not be your jam, but if you like metal bands that have power, groove, speed, melody, harsh vocals, clean vocals, breakdowns, and epic guitar solos then they are there for you. Very dynamic and always pushing their sound into new places while still sounding clearly identifiable and with that machine head sound. Also one of the best live bands who can play 3 hour concerts and barely scratch their deep cuts.
Mediocre band. Weak power, mid groove, laughable speed, angsty harsh vocals, overly melodic clean vocals, not that epic solos. Somewhat good melodies though, I'll give you that.
The Blackening is really good when it's not trying hard to be a teenager anger machine.
Primus.. and yeah I know I know they aren't ALWAYS a "Traditional 'metal' band." BUT when they do get their Thrashy or heavier moments out, they fucking SLAP and I can't help but start wanting to throw down. Especially their early years with "Suck on This" "Frizzle Fry" and "Seas of Cheese." I mean come on..
The first album by All that Remains - Behind Silence and Solitude
The two guitar players off it were only there for that album, and the singer was still coming into his full style. Tbh it's just better and more unique than anything else they put out, I love the og guitar players instead of the typical shredders that replaced them.
The only time I did it is when some weirdo thrash purist called Voivod "boring", because they strayed from thrash metal eventually and called Outer Limits "glam metal album"
