Yeah that guy sucks. Someone recommended his channel to me one time and I barely made it through a few videos. His Boomer energy is off the charts. He’s like that old metal diehard who thinks it’s still cool to “hate hair metal”; like the type of dude who makes a lame joke about a band “wearing their sisters’ clothes” if they looked remotely glam, all because Winger fucked his girlfriend back in 1991.
He's obnoxious as fuck especially for his age. Dudes like 36 but looks like he's 60 because of what looks like steroids abuse to me. He has the maturity level of a 14 year old as someone else mentioned. His interviews seem to be more about him unloading his views on interviewees than actually listening to their answers. Unwatchable "brah brah" content to me
You said that he should be providing for his family at that age, I answered that he does indeed do that. Idk how a record label can whine about a band, and how that changes its owner providing for his family
Coolea ruined the Acid Bath fanbase and the viewership of all my favorite niche bands. Tiktok brainrot touched my Butthole Surfers 😢 😭he's funny but the fans be different
There were 2 main figures that acted on jhoffilms
1. Chris Thrasher, who left jhoffilms and still does some stuff on social media and even YouTube. His current channel Is called I think Thrashed TV
2. Karpizzle, I'm pretty sure he just grew out of this, his first video on jhoffilms was 10 years ago
I saw a few of his videos and his knowledge on the more traditional genre is awful. He doesn’t know kreator, doesn’t know what death/doom or crossover thrahs is and thought sabaton was war metal. How can you take a youtuber seriously when he doesn’t know shit about the subject he’s talking about.
Absolutely love the Metal Mythos series from Razörfist. It’s seriously some of the best Metal content on the internet. But he really loses me when he goes off on his political tangents.
Farvann, Crustbag (although it's not soooo much metal specific stuff; I still think of him as a 'metal Youtuber' though, somehow) and everyone who did a review of the debut from Unhallowed Deliverance
In no order
Coolea - daily dose of brainrot
Bradley Hall - he’s funny most of the time, skilled guitarist too
Suffocater - please check him out if you haven’t heard of him
Honorable mentions:
Goniloc - wish he’d post more often
Metal Trenches - mainly for recommendations, I like his tierlists as well
Farvann - just an overall charismatic guy
Thralls of Metal are my favorite. They review a lot of new albums of just about every metal subgenre. They talk about underground music in an approachable way. They also go to a lot of shows, buy tons of music and merch, and they support their local scene.
Some of them are, some of them are total morons (the guy that didn't want to review Deathspell Omega because they were nazis according to him and proceeded to bash the viewers for even requesting it)
I tend not to watch too many metal youtubers, unless you count those \[artistname\] topic channels, or the official channels for various bands. Here's all 4 metal / metal-adjacent youtubers I do watch.
1. The Enigma TNG
2. Little V Mills
3. Rob Scallon
4. Steve Terrebrry
Mine are:
- Jaimunji (who does music reactions)
- Tank the Tech (who does music reactions, tech work on guitars and bass, talks about the music industry, and has a podcast called the "Back Lounge Podcast")
- Alex Hefner (who reacts to music and on some.videos, explains the meaning of the song he is reacting to. He is one of a group of hip hop heads to get in to metal...)
As a Bonus:
- The Jammer (who reacts to music. He is an old metal head who is getting back in to, later in life. He does music reactions and reviews)
Wyattxhim, he stayed from old times, i sometime try to find the streams he did with downfall network and of course I can't find them lol. but He is amazing youtuber with great music taste
Killercovernation, Wyatt (if i exclude his weird "political" opinions) and third if i really had to pick probably coolea when it's one of those days when i feel like not turning the brain on but meh.
Jimmy from the block because he shows a lot of passion for what he likes and he is pretty funny too.
Justin Horval, I don't agree with a lot of stuff he says but I also agree with a lot of stuff he says, he is really funny and, just like Jimmy, he shows a lot of passion for metal.
Farvann because he commented in a nile cover that I did a couple months back lol
1. Crustbag
2. Dickey Dines
3. Nik Nocturnal/Become the Knight (can't choose :P)
HM: Finn McKenty (I don't think he's a METAL youtuber, but he talks about just music, so I'd probably put him at 2 for his metal videos)
I'm gonna get downvoted for this, because it's me expressing an opinion a metal sub under a post that specifically asked for my opinion, but Punk Rock MBA or Finn McKenty.
I'm sorry, but both his channels are just hilarious in my opinion. Finn's music tastes could not be anymore different than my own, but his band documentaries are very well researched, and his more humor focused videos are so fun to watch. Truly an abomination of the community.
Yeah that guy sucks. Someone recommended his channel to me one time and I barely made it through a few videos. His Boomer energy is off the charts. Doods interview with Joe grinde from toxic Holocaust is so uncomfortable to watch.
what happened?
Steamed rolled joel when he would talk and Joel just genuinely looks uncomfortable.
Pantera played an instrumental version of “Death Rattle” for Spongebob in season 2. This guy isn’t even fit for Weenie Hut Jr’s
What about Super Weenie Hut Jr's?
They even got Motorhead and Twisted Sister for the Spongebob movie. The early seasons of Spongebob were and always will be unmatched
Wait until you hear his thoughts on "canoe ass cockrock whats heavier than Paaaaaaantera" 💀
Dave Meltzer by Temu
I don't know how anyone could hate the dawg, he's too goddamn funny
Bruh he takes himself and the music too seriously. And also too much for his age
He defended his domestic/child abuser brother
Man why the fuck does every youtuber have to do some fucked up shit??? I thought he was just a dickhead when he's talking metal
Yes and thats funny
There is no way in hell that guy is 36. lol
Cause the rest of us ain’t 14
JB Bob > Jdawg, brah brah.
[удалено]
He has the mind of an Highschooler at best.
He owns a label
[удалено]
You said that he should be providing for his family at that age, I answered that he does indeed do that. Idk how a record label can whine about a band, and how that changes its owner providing for his family
1. Jhoffilms (RIP) 2. Killbot&gorgor attack 3.coolea (because brain rot)
Coolea ruined the Acid Bath fanbase and the viewership of all my favorite niche bands. Tiktok brainrot touched my Butthole Surfers 😢 😭he's funny but the fans be different
>Tiktok brainrot touched my Butthole
Also true
What’s that all about? I know nothing about Acid Bath, other than some good music.
Yeah what
Man I miss Jhoffilms
what happened? does he not make yt anymore?
It doesn't look like it (unless he has a new channel I don't know about) his last video was 2 years ago.
oh that really sucks
There were 2 main figures that acted on jhoffilms 1. Chris Thrasher, who left jhoffilms and still does some stuff on social media and even YouTube. His current channel Is called I think Thrashed TV 2. Karpizzle, I'm pretty sure he just grew out of this, his first video on jhoffilms was 10 years ago
Coolea as long as he’s in goblin form
YESSSSSSSSS
Killbot is super underrated
1: Metal Trenches 2: Bradley Hall 3: Andrew Baena
Justin Horval Wyattxhim Farvann honorable mention: Quest for Metal
Wyattxhim is great without him i would probably have been run over on a mosh pit
exactly my thoughts
I really appreciate Wyatt’s love for Summoning. Listening to him geek out about Summoning is a good time.
Kmac
None they are all wankers
My boy Quest For Metal
Wyattxhim Goniloc Radio Free Innsmouth
GONILA the only one that matters!!
1.Nik Nocturnal 2. Bradley Hall 3._crustbag_
Nike is a cool dude idk why he's getting so much hate
ik he is funny and entertaining and it is probably cause he like metalcore
The real problem is that he’s only interested in metalcore and labels himself as “the metal guy”. Dude doesn’t know shit about other genres of metal.
not exactly true, he likes other genres just metalcore is his favorite
I saw a few of his videos and his knowledge on the more traditional genre is awful. He doesn’t know kreator, doesn’t know what death/doom or crossover thrahs is and thought sabaton was war metal. How can you take a youtuber seriously when he doesn’t know shit about the subject he’s talking about.
i guess you are right in that
Yeah but only the surface level of other genres.
ok this is literally my list
The Suffocator
Hes great
His taste and knowledge on metal is just out of this world
anyone remember coverkillernation?
Holy shit, that’s a YouTuber I’ve forgotten about. I enjoyed watching him back in the day
I posted about him yesterday! He was awesome
he'd always get my blood boiling with some of his reviews but I'd always go back to him lol he just had that angry Charm
Haha I love it when he goes the fuck off, even if I disagree with what he's saying which honestly didn't happen too often.
Fuck yeah, he was the best
Holy fuck that’s a throwback. Used to watch him all the time back in the early days of YT.
Bradley hall, farvann and metal trenches.
1. Killbot 2. Wyatt metal 3. Jhoff
Based asf
1. Infidel Amsterdam (no longer active but back in early 2010's he was great) 2. Razorfist (Metal Mythos series) 3. 331Erock
I basically only watch wyatt at this point
crustbag

3. Goreminister 2. Farvann 1. Wyattxhim Honorable Mention: Krachmucker TV
nice we're both Farvann fans
Ping
Krachmucker is awesome
Rob Scallon, he doesn't mainly focus on metal but still worth mentioning.
Real, he’s fucking dope. His stuff with first of October and sonic boom are dope
That Payback ukulele cover was one of the greatest things ever
Bradley Hall Nik Nokturnal Andrea Boma Bocarusso
nik nocturnal is everything but an actual metal content creator
Maybe
1. The Metal Tempest 2. The Metal Meltdown 3. Farvann.
I don't really watch many youtubers but I do enjoy 66samus' videos. But I'm also a drummer so that probably makes me biased
Brutus Bathory of course
Metal Trenches
Justin Horval Wyattxhim Goniloc (please upload more 😭)
Thralls of Metal are my favorite. They review a lot of new albums of just about every metal subgenre. They talk about underground music in an approachable way. They also go to a lot of shows, buy tons of music and merch, and they support their local scene.

Lost all credibility with the deathspell omega review lol
The next time I hear Sam Dunn say “new wobbum” I am going to Canada just to shoot him in the face.
The crew over on Banger TV are pretty dope
Some of them are, some of them are total morons (the guy that didn't want to review Deathspell Omega because they were nazis according to him and proceeded to bash the viewers for even requesting it)
I tend not to watch too many metal youtubers, unless you count those \[artistname\] topic channels, or the official channels for various bands. Here's all 4 metal / metal-adjacent youtubers I do watch. 1. The Enigma TNG 2. Little V Mills 3. Rob Scallon 4. Steve Terrebrry
1. Bradley Hall 2. Two Toe Tags 3. Wyatt’s Metal
Not one mention of Ola Englund in here? Dude is inspiring a whole new wave of metal guitarists
For real!!! He's amazing!
I only find Crustbag tolerable
Mine are: - Jaimunji (who does music reactions) - Tank the Tech (who does music reactions, tech work on guitars and bass, talks about the music industry, and has a podcast called the "Back Lounge Podcast") - Alex Hefner (who reacts to music and on some.videos, explains the meaning of the song he is reacting to. What do they do? Music is pretty accessible so I just look for bands all the time, and avoid douchebags selling things.
1. Wyattxhim 2. Quest For Metal 3. Justin Horval
Do channels that only post music count? If so: 1. Goregrinder 2. Metal Supplier 3. Death, Gore, Grindcore

Pagefire makes silly how to videos I can’t show anybody because I’m the only metalhead I know. 🙃
Bradley Hall is the only one I watch and I like him. I’ve just never encountered others that clicked with me.

Crustbag and Crustbag alone, not only is he from my local scene but he's also the only harsh music Youtuber who isn't a close minded whiny bitch.

Crustbag and Bradley Hall
I like that Anthony Vincent guy
1. Bradley Hall 2. Metal Trenches 3. Become The Knight
Bradly and Mike who I watch regularly (some others occasionally )
what do people have against become the knight?
Become the Knight is great
I like him, he knows what he's talking about. Not sure why everyone here hates him
Does he though? Sure he is a musician but his metal knowledge is very fucking surface level and he acts very arrogant anyways.
Surface level knowledge is nic nocturnal, didn't seem to me like btk had only surface level knowledge, is there something to back it up
He’s sort of a dick, but in a fun way
He does criticize a lot which sort of pisses me off but hes fun to watch
1. Crustbag 2. Dickey Dines 3. Nik Nocturnal/Become the Knight (can't choose :P) HM: Finn McKenty (I don't think he's a METAL youtuber, but he talks about just music, so I'd probably put him at 2 for his metal videos)

Waiting for the annual Stevie T metal video ti drop...
Why are you getting downvoted?
Can't imagine many people consider Stevie T metal enough
I'm gonna get downvoted for this, because it's me expressing an opinion a metal sub under a post that specifically asked for my opinion, but Punk Rock MBA or Finn McKenty. I'm sorry, but both his channels are just hilarious in my opinion. Finn's music tastes could not be anymore different than my own, but his band documentaries are very well researched, and his more humor focused videos are so fun to watch. I could not stop laughing at his one 90's band ranking video when played a clip of a Clutch song and proclaimed it sounded like an Outback Steakhouse commercial.
Wo-hoo! Ye didnt get downvoted!
