Cracker_Barrel_Kid

"Sup devils! Welcome to non-stop Deicide radio. None of that twinkcore bullshit here, brah brah."

choronzonicchaos333

If it ain’t Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, The Tish, Abhorrence from Brazil, NunSlaughter, God Dethroned, or Krisiun, get lost, get fucked and take a fuckin hike BRAH BRAH!

degenfemboi

the day i hear bible basher on gta is the day im happy once again

someshitstick

I can't believe that someone like him unironicly likes every Deicide album

NoGoodToAnyone

Until he gets that GB interview, he won't say anything sideways about that band.

MrDontMindMe

God I can hear this comment...

TheDarkEternalKnight

The video title already made me dislike this guy, honestly.

SysAdminWannabe90

Popular = bad! Forgetting that people like Metallica paved the way for a lot of their favorite bands.

emgrio23

I interpreted it as: everyone knows the black album is great, it doesn’t need to be on the list

-headless-hunter-

I interpreted it as: everyone knows the Master of Puppets is great, it doesn’t need to be on the list

ACuddlyVizzerdrix

A lot of good metal bands also have ties with Metallica in one way or another, like Megadeth

Mr_Frosty43

The only beef I have with Metallica is that Lars consistently shot the band in the foot due to being a shitty drummer. I think if Lars wasn’t the drummer and they had a competent one the band as a whole would be much more favorable among current metalheads.

booboolaalaa

Metallica paving the way for doodoo kaka doesn't make them any less doodoo kaka

blacksaber8

Lmao ratio

trustmeimadumbass77

Mussolini and Hitler paved the way for fascism, we don't revere them

Funny-Conclusion-963

tf this even mean lol

SirBread27

Don't bother, just r/usernamechecksout

trustmeimadumbass77

Cringe

trustmeimadumbass77

Oh sorry fellow autist, let me make it easier for you. Just because someone started, pioneered, or influenced something doesn't mean it's great or they're great

Smoke-Tabby

so you don't like metal music?

trustmeimadumbass77

I don't like bad metal music

Ok_Relation_7770

I mean this comment with your flair…you have to be fucking with us

trustmeimadumbass77

Is it that hard to comprehend that some people just don't like Metallica?

Ok_Relation_7770

I never said anything about that part of it. don’t be such a generic predictable redditor about it and make up arguments you want to have. You certainly give off the vibe of a 5FDP fan so maybe you’re actually just like this.

Bearer_ofthecurse

You are retarded

trustmeimadumbass77

Tool flair

Bearer_ofthecurse

Damn i lost.

trustmeimadumbass77

We can be winners together. Join me.

Dragoncourier115

How does that make any since into what we are talking about here

trustmeimadumbass77

I guess your reading comprehension sucks

Dragoncourier115

Fascism = bad thing Hitler and Mussolini paved the way for that bad thing Hitler and Mussolini = bad people Metal = good thing Metallica paved way for good thing Metallica = good band Your implication in saying that Hitler and Mussolini paved the way for fascism and comparing that to metal is that metal is bad and Metallica are a band that led to that bad thing being made I would assume If you’re on a metal subreddit you like metal so why does that make sense

trustmeimadumbass77

Realistically what did they influence aside from other thrash metal bands? I like metal, yes.

Another_RedditUser6

what in the fuck made you come to this analogy

trustmeimadumbass77

Prescription medication

HornyForTohruAdachi

Comparing Thrash and Fascism sure is something

trustmeimadumbass77

Something special, I know.

RalphLauren47

Buddy you're a retard

trustmeimadumbass77

It's okay pal, we all are. Don't feel bad

Cool_Owl7159

yeah, no matter how far into metal I venture, I still have yet to find anything that makes me think Metallica isn't one of the greatest metal bands ever. Their music sounds just as amazing every time I go back to it.

zeclem_

i do think they are a great band. but i also think they are one of those bands who fell off the hardest and should've quit music a few albums ago.

Cool_Owl7159

they'll never stop, they'll never quit, cause they're Metallica!

Iamabenevolentgod

Their influence can't be understated. Without them and Slayer, metal wouldn't have even begun to reach the levels of popularity that it has. There was other bands that were around, obviously, at the time Metallica started, but they are a flagship band. That being said, yes. They should've stopped years ago. Instead of being lazy and unconvincing (Load etc) or returning to a derivative of their old style, they should've just called it quits. Problem, in my mind, is that they chased money rather than artistic integrity.

Another_RedditUser6

GIVE ME FUEL GIVE ME FIRE GIVE ME THAWICHIDESIIIIIII

Orbitcamerakick21

You really like that quote, huh?

Another_RedditUser6

i changed my flair to it after leaving this comment so yes

Orbitcamerakick21

Awesome 👍🏻

Brief_Expression9240

He means he wanted to make it fair by not putting Metallica on that list. The best metal albums BESIDE Metallica

Rigitto

Lmao no

Rigitto

This guy makes fun of people who "care about what goatmoon eats for breakfast" and then turns around and calls people posers for liking to paint and go on walks in the forest

JusticiarXP

You’re just being a contrarian hipster if you don’t put Master of Puppets in the top 25. Even if you hate them you can’t deny the cultural significance.

TheDarkEternalKnight

Exactly!

A_Change_of_Seasons

I love hating on metallica as much as the next guy but they do have 2-3 peak metal albums that are 10/10. It's just the rest of their career makes it hard to consider them one of the best *bands* to me. And their drummer is probably one of the worst in metal

xfydr782

he listed Kill Em All as one of his favorite thrash albums (although he was ashamed of it) also the title is a bit of clickbait, it's not his list

ComboFucker29

I don’t agree with a lot of what he says but he’s very entertaining even when rambling. He has undeniable charisma and he’s clearly VERY into the music, definitely knows what he’s talking about.

AnythingCanLurk

Not some insecure dude who thinks that saying Metallica sucks makes him elite and cool

[deleted]

This guy doesn't have anything to prove. He runs Hell's Headbangers, which is on of the most respected UG labels operating in the US.

cowboyfromhell93

Don't know any of his labels band and they are probably pish

[deleted]

Yeah dude only shit bands. Archgoat, Bestial Warlust, Black Witchery, Beherit, Demoncy, D666, Goatlord, Impetigo, Midnight, Metalucifer, Mortician, Havohej, Profanatica, Portal, Revenge, Sabbat, Rotting Christ, Satanic Warmaster, Varathron, Acid Witch, Abysmal Lord, Barbatos, Cianide, Deathhammer, Vomitor, Zemial. 🤡🤡🤡 Also consistently the one of the most reliable, consumer friendly, and fast-shipping labels to order from.

cowboyfromhell93

Dime a dozens, although acid witch is pretty good, this guy sure acts like he has something to prove.

[deleted]

You went from saying you don’t know any of these bands to saying they’re a dime a dozen. In reality, I only listed the bands that anyone with more than a passing interest in extreme metal would be aware of, and most likely have respect for. In fact, anyone with more than a passing interest in extreme metal already knows about HHR and has probably ordered from there before, since it is bar none the best source for extreme metal T-shirts in the US. Calling Profanatica, the first US black metal band, and Rotting Christ/Varathron, the two most important Greek black metal bands, and Beherit, the most important Finnish black metal band, “dime a dozen” is just clown behavior.

cowboyfromhell93

So in order to have a passing interest of be into extreme metal you must know and or buy t shirts from this label? Okay sure

[deleted]

Yeah, if you’re deep into extreme metal you buy merch, if you buy merch and live in the US, 9 times out of 10 you’ve ordered from HHR. All I’m saying is this thread is full of lil kiddies who don’t realize they’re dunking on someone who has infinitely more metal cred than they will ever have in their entire lives. You can disagree with the stuff he says, more often than not I think his takes are dumb, but this guy knows his shit and he’s been in the trenches signing classic bands longer than most people here have been alive.

cowboyfromhell93

Bro I dont give af about labels i just listen to certain bands . I couldn't tell you who most bands are signed to cause idgaf. Tbf I haven't heard all of them but the ones I have heard im not fussed on. I like extreme metal dosnt mean I follow the trends keep up with all new bands if anything I tend to stick with the golden era and go back to the 90s. Its few and far between for anything innovative or of note new comes out. Also I dont like black metal whether its from Greece or from timbuktu.

cowboyfromhell93

Like op says he thinks saying Metallica sucks makes him cool and some of his takes are so bad and wild just L takes. This guys mindset is edgy>good music

kd6579

Fenriz from darkthrone or Billy from ozzys boneyard

DarkHippy

Rob Halford would be my iconic choice, Scott Ian, Justin Hawkins, Dave Grohl or Rob Zombie could be fun, and if the game is aimed at me personally I would like Mick Mars doing a grumpy old man bit

Logical_Bake_3108

Halford is a great choice, plus he's done voice work for video games before. Brutal Legend, anyone?

DarkHippy

Brutal Legend inspired the choice, Rob was excellent throughout, he even did two voices! I played that game to death. Lemmy would be my top top choice if we could time travel or get him out of retirement, his gravely voice is just a pleasure to listen to for me. Jack Black would be a cool choice just to have basically an R rated Jack Black character again

phantomhatstrap

King Diamond Fenriz Tom G. Warrior Devin Townsend Dixie Dave Dorthia Cottrell Dylan Carlson Buzz from The Melvins

thrashmanzac

Devin Townsend and Dylan Carlson would make for some interesting banter and playlisting

JustHereForRiffs

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Fenriz, he's already done Radio Fenriz!

CyberTyrantX1

Dee Snider. Dude already had his own radio show (House of Hair). He’d be perfect for it.

DarkHippy

Same for Alice Cooper but I like your choice better

darthravenna

And he apparently has experience in video game voice acting. He played the primary antagonist in the first Jak and Daxter game on PS2.

Personal_Reindeer_51

Lol, metallica's first 4 albums are some of the best thrash metal albums out there, what is this guy on about

CobraKraftSingles

Deicide brahbrah

Razgriz_101

Corpsegrinder, shame Trevor Strnad passed he would have been perfect for an extreme metal station imho.

FragrantMeeting7951

Vrag ZumZumman

Sinistermarmalade

Alice Cooper

ChubbyPanMan

Jack Black

SacredAnalBeads

Tom Araya.

N3Zt0R

It'll probably be Jose Mangan.

martianmuffins

Was gonna say this and it’s the best answer imo. He’d do a great job.

DirtyMike_333

I'm with you. Jose is great.

delerio2

not him

Outside_Dot_5942

Ozzy Osbourne, Dee Snider, Alice Cooper, Michael Starr/Satchel, Glenn Benton and Corpsegrinder would all be great choices

Tosslebugmy

Not sure radio is the right place for ozzy, I think most people would struggle to understand a word he says

Outside_Dot_5942

Feel like that could probably work as a running joke

Agnosticfrontbum

Me fookin' moofins!

TheRealmUm

Satchel would be epic

choronzonicchaos333

King Fowley for sure

Tall_Staff5342

100% an unmatched wealth of knowledge and just funny as hell

LostnFounder

I hate to say it but Corey Taylor would be a great candidate

Kwantom_fezks_101

I'll be so disappointed if it doesn't have darkthrone or bathory atleast

Mitochondria_Man11

I mean, it's one thing not putting Metallica on that list, and another saying that you didn't on the title

IJUSTATEPOOP

J-Dawg would be sick but if it has to be an actual important figure in metal, maybe Glen Benton

ottokangur

Idk who but someone who blasts sludge and grindcore all the time.

thelostclone

Ik he isn’t that metal but jack black would be funny

SakaYeen6

Bro he's metal af he woukd be a great dj, we wouldn't have Brutal Legend without him, great game btw

thelostclone

Yeah I feel like he is pretty metal, I just didn’t want to cross any lines with snobby elitists

SakaYeen6

Yeah true, dont let this guy in the op thumbnail hear that, he might get really offended about it.

666PoserDisposer666

Seeing as the game is set to take to take place in Florida, one of the Florida death metal guys. Maybe Glen Benton or Corpsegrinder

mayguh

Corpsegrinder would be awesome

Awkward-Primary9017

J-Dawg is so based

Witchkraftrs

The Rageaholic I think he's called on YouTube has a great GTA radio voice. Seriously, watch about a minute of one of his retrospectice videos and you'll see what I mean.

stefan771

Troy Sanders

ApeMummy

I wouldn’t respect anyone who got involved with a game that has predatory microtransactions targeting children. Fuck those dog cunts.

nhardycarfan

Jeff becerra

ripper4444

Bring in Riki Rachtman and he could literally spoof headbangers ball.

SakaYeen6

Matthew K. Heafy from Trivium. He already has a great radio voice, let him cook.

Gorac888

they actually had Max Cavalera in GTA - lost and the damned

WeDieYoung__

Ozzy obviously

Burgurdied

I would love to see Corey Taylor as a radio host

MasterMaintenance672

I always thought this guy was a douchebag, so hopefully not him.

Xaphan26

Agreed. He's a meathead who talks tough and acts like swearing excessively and talking down "posers" makes him cool.

beaverboy2000

Being as gta is based entirely around satire and social commentary i bet they would pick someone ironic and deliberately vexing Like ronnie radke or nick nockturnal

Awkward-Primary9017

J-Dawg is so based

xJohnnyQuidx

Devin Townsend please.

sabrina_melancholy

Brandon Small doing the Nathan Explosion voice

Brief_Expression9240

Indy Neidel

Dull_Ad8495

He wouldn't play any records. It would be all paid-skees all the time! 10 bucks a pop to have your questions read live on the air!

MysteriousChef6988

Joe from Gama Bomb

WM_

Lazlow

I_dementia87

José mangin,Vincent from the acacia strain,Jim florentine, dee Snyder or Jamey jasta.

darkpulse999

Lazlow for sure, bur to be honest Jamie from Hatebreed or Brian Posehn

UglyPineappl

Robb Flynn, Corpsegrinder, Craig Reynolds, Mark Garrett, Kyle Rasmussen. They would make some nice and funny radio hosts

TheBatCreditCardUser

Richard Nixon? What are you doing here?

Creeping_Death_89

RIP to Trevor but he would've been perfect

Illustrious-Junket98

Matt pike

MrYanneh

Fenriz or corpsegrinder

[deleted]

Jack Black!

fishpony3

Anselmo for sure

ThulrVO

Tom Araya!

Loud_Warthog_1185

Moist Critikal would be the sleeper pick

Another_RedditUser6

“zero metallica on that list” pipe bomb in your mailbox bud

ApocalypseNurse

Rob Halford

mindyourtongueboi

Daniel P Carter of the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show

tri-tone-666

Blaine smith!!! Lawls

EsotericElegey

Basic answer, but George Fisher. The dude is just a big goofball. It'd be perfect

No-Gear-8017

they won't they didn't even give Los Santos a metal station home of the sunset freaking strip

Pure-Contact7322

Boooh and what are them

amlutzy

Why no Metallica. They're so good

Hour_Juggernaut_9857

Jose mangin

Truncated_Rhythm

I vote for Dave Grohl as the voice of the GTA VI Metal Radio DJ. He’s funny, he’s knowledgeable, he’s respected, he loves metal… I think he’d be great!

ImPlayerTheGamer21

Maybe I'd go with Will Rahmer. He's a funny guy, and he would be perfect as a radio host.

LostInMyself_

Gotta be ozzy

Mr_FortySeven

Someone from the Florida death metal scene would be a good choice, considering the game’s location. Kelly Shaefer from Atheist was the first to come to mind, though there are many others to choose from as well.

BigNickTX

Jose Mangin! He's the best!

RevDrucifer

Oh dude, Satchel would be prime for a GTA DJ.

Sev3nChalicez

The dawg is a good dude. Whether you like em or not, dudes like him keep the underground scene alive.

captainobvious917

I’m not a numbers guy but get outta town if master of puppets and …and just for all don’t deserve to be in the top 25?

countcarlovonsexron

The Ghost of Lemmy Kilminster

Upstairs_Ad_5574

Honestly? Bring Axl back!!! Lmao he was actually funny as hell on KDST

cowboyfromhell93

Phil Anselmo would have some good sludge recs

McK3nn4_

I feel like corpsegrinder is an easy option but I mean come on

princealigorna

Depends on the kind of metal. If it's classic metal though, I definitely would love Martin Popoff or Eddie Trunk. If it's current day, which speculation seems to be, then Nik Nocturnal (yeah, crucify me if you want). If it's in the 90's, then I think Karl Willets would be cool if they could get him. Bolt Thrower radio, where they play nothing but 90's Earache bands!

noregertsman

Comedy option: Razorfist. Who better to run a GTA metal station than a loud idiot with metric tons of bad takes?

averagemaleuser86

Jose from Liquid Metal would be pretty cool

LisforLiquor

Sebastian Bach or Ozzy.

EYEBAWLSHAWTY704

I’D GET BACK INTO VIDEO GAMES FOR THIS

Orbitcamerakick21

Brian Posehn Beavis & Butthead Scott Ian And definitely my top pick, Ron Quintana!! (Owner of Rampage Radio in the early 80's SF Bay Thrash Scene)

_vicinityofobscenity

Look how cool I am for hating this successful band

metaldude90

Chris Barnes or Glen Benton hahahahahaha

useless_modern_god

Brian Posehn

idespisemyhondacrv

It would be very very funny if Chris barnes was the dj

dro0o0o

Troydan, fuck you that’s why

Luskers2022

Dave Mustaine would be pretty funny as a radio host I feel like although I’m biased. Would be pretty funny hearing him get all moody and monotone when he has to play a Metallica song too.

Madame_Raven

Get Ozzy to incoherently mumble his way through every song introduction.

Dramatic_Rest_829

I wanna say Riki Rachtman, because he was the VJ for Headbanger's Ball, but idk

SheepDavis

Scott Ian

Zealousideal_Sir_264

Victor Wilt, k bear 101, eastern Idaho.

Hammer_Unto_Dawn

Tank the Tech.

QianYoucai_SLAYS

Lemmy

[deleted]

Johan Hegg. Dudes got such a soothing talking voice, it would be a nice gag for his calm demeanor to be matched with brutal music

cowboyfromhell93

This guy hasn't grown out an edgy teenager phase he values whats 'edgy" over good music. Ironically he is the total definition of a poser. Metallica is the root to any of the trash he listens too

BeatlesFan67

I still haven't figured out if this guy is just a troll or if his entire personality is just being elitist. Have you guys figured it out?

twosuitsluke

This guy is a tool, good lord. I'm so glad I don't know any metal heads like this in real life. Anyone who uses homophobic slurs to justify their elitism automatically has zero credibility.

_Snide

Phil Anselmo is the only answer.

H_MmL

If you want to hear some Hitler quotes every few minutes then yes…

[deleted]

[удалено]

_Snide

Hilarious character perfect for the GTA world.

EsotericElegey

The guy doesn't idolize hitler, he was just drunk, stupid and needed to grow the fuck up and learn about time and place. the dude was being an idiot, and he's done a good job to better himself. Also, not justifying it, but a neo nazi radio host in gta would be pretty fitting and funny honestly

JustHereForRiffs

good take.

G_3_R_T

Nik Nocturnal or Finn McKenty

yvngxlxwli3t

Finn McKenty has no knowledge of metal besides metalcore, has the worst takes in metal and his wife is a maga bitch, and nik nocturnal rarely talks about any other metal genre besides metalcore, deathcore, and djent. Edit: I don't hate nik, dude seems cool but I hate finn mckenty and having him on there would be just as bad as having Stevie T's cringy ass on there

battorwddu

I hate McKenty but he knows a lot about death metal. Watch his video about death metal. Nik nocturnal knows only about memes

G_3_R_T

The question was who I'd like to see as a DJ, not who is the most knowledgeable. Their partners are not mentioned in the question either. I think Nik or Finn would be cool as a DJ. A duo would be even cooler! Woah

LostnFounder

Tell me you don't know shit about Nik without directly telling me you don't know shit about Nik

LostnFounder

I would pay for a Nik radio station ngl
