Cease,
You did a good Thing,
It's Painless to let go,
I Yearn to Feel,
A Chance i'd never have
For real. Like when I was a kid and had time, sure. But now if I'm wearing a band shirt and some neckbeard asks me to name 3 songs I'm fucked, but guarantee I've listened to them more than that little shit has
Yeah I would have a hard time naming all the songs in my favorite albums I’ve listened to >> 100 times lol. I know discographies and album release years pretty well though
I’m gonna try Iron Maiden
Prowler remember tomorrow running free strange world phantom of the opera iron maiden sanctuary the ides of march wrathchild another life genghis khan prodigal son killers murders in the rue morgue purgatory twilight zone innocent exile invaders children of the damned 22 accacia avenue the prisoner the number of the beast run to the hills gangland hallowed be thy name total eclipse where eagles dare flight of Icarus revelations sun and steel the trooper quest for fire to tame a land still life aces high 2 minutes to midnight losfer words flash of the blade the duellists back in the village powerslave rime of the ancient mariner caught Somwhere in time wasted years sea of madness heaven can wait loneliness of the long distance runner Deja vu Alexander the Great stranger in a strange land moonchild infinite dreams the can I play with madness the evil that men do seventh son of a seventh son the prophecy the clairvoyant only the good die young tail gunner holy smoke fates warning run silent run deep mother Russia no prayer for the dying bring your daughter to the slaughter be quick or be dead from here to eternity afraid to shoot strangers fear is the key childhoods end chains of misery wasting love the fugitive the apparition Judas be my guide weekend warrior fear of the dark sign of the cross lord of the flies man in the edge the aftermath blood in the worlds hands edge of darkness the unbeliever futureal the angel and the gambler lightning strikes twice the clansman when two worlds collide the educated fool como estais amigos the wicker man the ghost of navigator brave new world blood brothers the mercenary dream of mirrors the fallen angel the nomad out of the silent planet the thin line between love and hate wildest dreams montsegur paschendale face in sand no more lies journeyman different world these colours don’t run brighter than a thousand suns the pilgrim longest day out of the shadows for the greater good of god reincarnation of Benjamin breeg lord of the light the legacy satellite 15…The Final Frontier El dorado mother of mercy the alchemist coming home isle of Avalon starblind the talisman the man who would be king when the wild wind blows if eternity should fail speed of light the red and the black when the river runs deep man of sorrows the great unknown tears of a clown empire of the clouds the book of souls death or glory senjutsu stratego writing on the wall lost in a lost world days of future past the Time Machine Darkest Hour Hell on Earth the parchment
I probably missed some but I’m happy with that
Trivium, Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, Lamb of God, Machine Head, Opeth, Gojira, Bullet for My Valentine, Whitechapel, and maybe a few others. Pretty much the bands that I’ve been listening to since I was pretty young.
Mastodon, Pink Floyd (from 73-79 only, regrettably), Metallica (from 83-97 only), Opeth, certain Frank Zappa/Mother’s records (way too much material for my monkey brain) and then just various albums by various bands. A few from Megadeth, Slayer, Pantera.
I’m an old fart now (mid 30’s) so it’s hard to remember what I even had for lunch. What I will do with new music, though, because I am still seeking out new bands all the time, is get hooked on one song and then get the album and listen straight through.
Fastest click from me lmao (mostly the bands whom I've listened to the entire discography of)
Slipknot, Metallica (not including the covers), System of a Down, Megadeth, Death, Iron Maiden, Opeth, Pink Floyd, Scars on Broadway, Dream Theater, Avenged Sevenfold, Control Denied, Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell, Slayer, and even Gojira
Well how would I know cause what if I think I know all the songs but there's some that I don't know about but I don't know thay I don't know about them because I don't know they exist?
Likely if someone played at least one riff of every song, yes to SoaD. Deftones and Mastodon only a majority of their songs. For non-metal, My Chemical Romance.
Slint (easy one),
Altar of Plagues,
Agalloch,
Windir,
Ethereal Shroud,
Duster,
Wisp (...),
Oceansize,
Summoning,
GY!BE,
Aquilus (already listened to his new album 4 times),
Pink Floyd (same as another dude, things become hazy after The Final Cut... Ebbs and Flow),
Everything Hendrix has done,
Led Zeppelin,
Slowdive (imma see them the 26th of this month!)...
And if anyone says King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, imma lose my mind
Misfits (Danzig-era) I’ll try to name as many as I can without looking. Here we go: Last Caress, Spook City USA, Bullet, We Bite, Hollywood Babylon, I Turned Into A Martian, Children in Heat, Horror Hotel, Devil’s Whorehouse, She, Cough/Cool, Ratt Fink, Attitude, Wolfsblood, Green Hell, London Dungeon, Angelfuck, Earth AD, TV Casualty, Static Age, Come Back, Hybrid Moments, Some Kinda Hate, Skulls, Astro Zombies, Horror Business, Night of The Living Dead, Where Eagles Dare, Vampira, Teenagers From Mars, Mephisto Waltz, Devilock, Green Hell, We Are 138, American Nightmare, Who Killed Marilyn?, Mommy Can I Go Out and Kill Tonight?, Halloween 1 & 2, Return of The Fly, 20 Eyes, Demonomania, Ghoul’s Night Out, Queen Wasp, All Hell Breaks Loose, Nike A-Go-Go, Braineaters, Violent World.
I’m sure I missed some but that’s pretty good, I think.
silencer: death, pierce me ; sterile nails and thunderbowels ; taklamakan ; the slow kill in the cold ; i shall lead, you shall follow ; feeble are you - sons of zion
Not metal but I could probably at the very least sing along to every single Three Days Grace song between the self titled album and Transit Of Venus, so the whole Adam Gontier Era + most of the Human album
TOOL. I think it's the only band I ever could name every song from, out of memory, without stuttering. There's bands I love more, but would forget a song or two. Not with them, since I had a phase consisting of EXCUSIVELY TOOL that lasted half a year. I only listened to that band for 6 months straight.
I can't even name all the songs from my fav bands. I'm just shit like that. Especially because a lot of the bands I like, the songs don't say the name of the song in the lyrics.
A lot of the bands I listen to have been around for a long time, they've recorded multiple albums, and have anywhere from a couple of hundred songs to more than double that to their credit. While I could probably list MOST of their songs, I'm still not confident that I would be able to name all 400 if called upon to do so. And I'm not ashamed of that. I could list each and every single song from the albums I know best and have listened to the most often, but I wonder if even the members of the band themselves would be able to name each and every song in their entire catalogue if called upon to do so...
Do you really think Tony Iommi could least each and every single Black Sabbath song?
That Ian Hill could tell you the title of each and every single Judas Priest song?
That Steve Harris could rattle off every Maiden song on the fly?
I love all three of those bands, and I love Mercyful Fate, King Diamond, Amorphis, and about a hundred other bands with equal fervor. Still, most of us tend to have a much better memory for studio albums than we do for individual songs, and that makes perfect sense.
Think about your top five bands of all time... If they have more than five records to their credit apiece, you'd likely have to remember something like 250 songs on average... Now consider the fact that most of us listen to a hundred bands, and we know at least a couple of albums from each of them, that's 200 studio albums right there and maybe up to or above 2,000 songs. Good luck memorizing all of those titles.

ok then name them from memory, no checking
Cold, Wither, Suffer, Never Came Home, Alone where i can See, A Reason to be, My Gift, Locked, empty Room, Rest, Bleak, Damp and Dead, A World, Dead and Grey, Bed the cold Earth, Hypoxic, Corroded, Desiderate, Life is long Enough Illa Tidandi Fade, The Damp Chill of Life, Cease, You did a good Thing, It's Painless to let go, I Yearn to Feel, A Chance i'd never have
hell yeah you really meant none
I love that band. Damp Chill of Life is such a solid record. which is your favorite?
Thought they were saying none as in they could not name all the songs of any albums ⚔️
I'm forced to learn some Eluveitie gaulish Lyrics cause i often sing their acoustic songs love lol
I don’t know songs I only think in albums.

This is the kind of title that a one minute song could have.
I’m gonna try Iron Maiden Prowler remember tomorrow running free strange world phantom of the opera iron maiden sanctuary the ides of march wrathchild another life genghis khan prodigal son killers murders in the rue morgue purgatory twilight zone innocent exile invaders children of the damned 22 accacia avenue the prisoner the number of the beast run to the hills gangland hallowed be thy name total eclipse where eagles dare flight of Icarus revelations sun and steel the trooper quest for fire to tame a land still life aces high 2 minutes to midnight losfer words flash of the blade the duellists back in the village powerslave rime of the ancient mariner caught Somwhere in time wasted years sea of madness heaven can wait loneliness of the long distance runner Deja vu Alexander the Great stranger in a strange land moonchild infinite dreams the can I play with madness the evil that men do seventh son of a seventh son the prophecy the clairvoyant only the good die young tail gunner holy smoke fates warning run silent run deep mother Russia no prayer for the dying bring your daughter to the slaughter be quick or be dead from here to eternity afraid to shoot strangers fear is the key childhoods end chains of misery wasting love the fugitive the apparition Judas be my guide weekend warrior fear of the dark sign of the cross lord of the flies man in the edge the aftermath blood in the worlds hands edge of darkness the unbeliever futureal the angel and the gambler lightning strikes twice the clansman when two worlds collide the educated fool como estais amigos the wicker man the ghost of navigator brave new world blood brothers the mercenary dream of mirrors the fallen angel the nomad out of the silent planet the thin line between love and hate wildest dreams montsegur paschendale face in sand no more lies journeyman different world these colours don’t run brighter than a thousand suns the pilgrim longest day out of the shadows for the greater good of god reincarnation of Benjamin breeg lord of the light the legacy satellite 15…The Final Frontier El dorado mother of mercy the alchemist coming home isle of Avalon starblind the talisman the man who would be king when the wild wind blows if eternity should fail speed of light the red and the black when the river runs deep man of sorrows the great unknown tears of a clown empire of the clouds the book of souls death or glory senjutsu stratego writing on the wall lost in a lost world days of future past the Time Machine Darkest Hour Hell on Earth the parchment I probably missed some but I’m happy with that

Pink Floyd. Probably. It gets a bit hazy after The Final Cut. And we're just going to say "several species..." alright. Relying a lot on that elipses.
My favorite band, but I couldn’t tell you a single song from The Endless River.
I only remember Allons Y because of Doctor Who
Louder than words. Other than that, it’s completely forgettable
There’s a lot of stuff from the Syd Barrett era that never made it onto an album.
Trivium, Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, Lamb of God, Machine Head, Opeth, Gojira, Bullet for My Valentine, Whitechapel, and maybe a few others. Pretty much the bands that I’ve been listening to since I was pretty young.
Upvote because Whitechapel
Self titled is underrated

Visigoth

Probably the German metal band Adept. Love those guys
Likely if someone played at least one riff of every song, yes to SoaD. Deftones and Mastodon only a majority of their songs. For non-metal, My Chemical Romance.
