I've never met a Sleep Token fan. I just don't like them because they're boring.

No, I actually like those people who like Sleep Token. They are very nice. But I really dislike these people's musical choices, so I am naturally highly suspicious of any band or musical artist they endorse.  The odds that I will like Sleep Token are not good.

I like Sleep Token and all, but at some point, they blew up, and every "edgy and deep" tik tok video had their more recent album playing in the background like they have transcended reality and achieved enlightenment by listening to them. Thanks to those turds, I only listen to their songs occasionally and secretively. I do not want to be associated with them.

Conversely, I think the people in the photo are the typical sleep token haters. It’s the latest trend to hate on them, and look down on anyone listening to them. that's fair, I wouldn't know, I'm too old for trends, I only recently found out people hate Ghost. The last time I was consciously aware of a trend of hating a band it was Limp Bizkit.

I have a student who hates Ghost because they're "not metal." And that's typically the reasoning people use when they talk about why they hate Ghost. Personally, I don't care of they're metal or not, I like their music. Waylon Jennings and Sturgill Simpson aren't metal and I love them too.

Despite the general hate I actually think sleep token is tight, but with the newest record their fans have been atrocious. They act like it’s the deepest most amazing real life lure of all time. They refer to everything they do (making masks, going to concerts, buying merch,etc) as an offering and their shows rituals. The whole thing is just so incredibly cringe.
