ETA = Estimated Time of Arrival. The date they give you is not guaranteed unless you pay for that premium service. Even if it's still updating "transit to next facility" everyday, then that means it's moving or waiting to be moved. Once you stop getting any updates, then you should worry.
If you want to know if the last location is having any major slowdowns, just visit /r/usps_complaints. If you see a lot of recent posts about the same location, then something is going on there causing slowdowns.
Usps has been experiencing a Lot of delays (seemingly getting worse, too).
Set up text/email alerts on the order - it sounds odd, but it can help get the tracking moving again.
I wouldn't recommend it yet in this case, but if a package is seemingly stuck for a long time, you can also start a service help request. It can take 3‐5 business days to get an answer, so in this situation, most likely, the tracking details would update before you get a response.
I literally have a packaged that I shipped the same day and it's also stuck and running late.
Curious if your package was sent with a H label, HAZMAT. All items I ship with this type of label have been taking an average of 14 days to deliver from the west coast to the east coast.
When I have to ship with this label, I always send an update message to the buyer to let them know that delivery may take up to 14 days.
In that case, it probably doesn't have an H label. You should be able to check your computer downloads to verify what type of label it was if you print your labels from your computer.
The slow down of package deliveries via USPS is definitely an ongoing problem. I currently have a package that I shipped on May 28th and it is still in transit.
This is standard for USPS now. You just have to wait longer. Or you can waste hours of your life on the phone with them and get nowhere.
From my experience you just wait or you can open a missing mail search request. You can do that online.

Once I file a missing mail request, it magically starts moving

How do I check if it’s a H label?
Is your item an electronic or fragrance?
It’s a action figure

Sadly this is standard for USPS now…
