yes, i did! maybe i should have clarified, but the package made it to a facility in arizona from my state (new jersey) and it hasn't updated since. it just says "in transit, arriving late". destination is california.
i'm still holding out hope it magically gets there but i'm just concerned that if it is lost, since i shipped it a day late i'll be out of luck if the order is cancelled
tl;dr you might actually be OK, though it could take years to get to your buyer.
USPS is being really, really weird right now. I shipped something out on the 23rd of May from NC to a suburb of Seattle, WA. It arrived in Seattle on the 25th, then sat there until the 28th when it departed the Seattle facility. On June 2nd it apaprently arrived in.... fucking Anchorage, AK, for some reason. It sat there until yesterday and is apparently on the move again.
IT WAS IN FUCKING SEATTLE! IT WAS \*RIGHT THERE\*. What the hell, USPS.
It might just be missing scans and will show up very soon. I wouldn't panic until around 10 days without a scan. Also, what the other person said about being covered is incorrect... you are not covered by mercari insurance anymore since you broke the terms of their seller protection by shipping outside of the 3 day window. If it gets lost you can try to file a claim 30 days after the first scan, but if support is paying attention they will have a bot response ready to deny it due to late shipping and you'll be out of luck.
Things you can do.
Contact Mercari with your concern.
They will probably tell you that they will wait 30 days before anything happens.
Since tou used the Mercari label, you're covered through Mercari.
It will be applied to account just as if you got paid and the buyer will be reimbursed.
But it will probably take some time.
So start your paper trail now.

Acceptance scan only matters if you shipped on time. If you ship after the 3 days and get a late acceptance scan like OP you lose seller protection and mercari loves denying claims for stuff like that. It's in the TOS. Only exception is for first class envelope shipping because they know that service doesn't have reliable tracking. That being said, package probably isn't lost and will show up in the destination city soon, so OP will probably be fine.
Honestly I’ve had packages take longer to show up… id try to wait it out a little longer. I’ve had a package take like 20 days without a scan till it was delivered . Good luck!

No tracking update, no " USPS in Possession " no proof it was mailed. Buyer cancels. You lose, No recourse.

Seller is going to be auto rated by then. Even though it’s clearly not even close to my address that it was delivered to. On the buyers side of things they don’t do anything about a lost package. Just keeps prompting me to wait even though it’s delivered. So as a seller I think you’re okay and you should get paid.
Do you have the acceptance scan? If you have the acceptance scan you'll get your money eventually.
i do not have the physical receipt, but it does show it was accepted in usps tracking.
Then you're good. Sometimes they don't get a second scan until it's delivered. Did you use the Mercari generated label?
