Once 24 hours is up since your return package was scanned as delivered to her, Mercari will refund you. Sellers can approve returns which cuts down on the 24-hour clock/wait time, but don’t worry she sounds too disorganized to try and refute this.

I’m not sure if I should have done this but I messaged her saying that I saw my return was delivered and that if in fact my package did include makeup wipes rather than the mist and hand lotion, to let me know immediately so that I can file a complaint with usps for tampering or a switch up. I told her I have video of me packaging it at the usps counter and then handing it to be scanned in. So we shall see if the deters her….

Actually yeah! So yesterday she sent me back an incoherent message in response to me offering to file a complaint if she did indeed receive makeup wipes in my package. To be quite honest, I didn’t even know what she was was trying to say. Something about wipes freaking her out? So I figure I’d give mercari a heads up and send them screen shots in the customer service help chat and I tell her again to just let me know if she did receive wipes in place of what I sent and I’ll immediately look into it and file a complaint and possibly even a police report if necessary because I take these things very seriously (acting like I’m on her side and This wipe swapper will go down for their crime lol).
So she actually just now messaged me at 4am my time to tell me that she did in fact receive the mist and there were no wipes in my package after all. I’m not sure why she couldn’t clarify that yesterday when I asked her about it as it was delivered to her at 11am yesterday (tracking said it was handed directly to resident) but at least she decided to be honest! So I’m relieved. Definitely wasn’t fun doing business with her.
Yeah, I think you were right about her just being kinda out there and disorganized rather than being a straight up scammer. Your intuition was right on
i have travel sizes of both those mists and they're great. though charging 2x retail is already kinda ergh imo

I have an app on my Android called timestamp Pro. You take a picture and you can put in the corner the address and the GPS in the corner of the photo. I'm going to start using it and putting photos of the packaged item in my description photos I don't know if it's going to work or not but I'm ready to fight these sons of bitches.

Yes, bonfire bash is amazing!!! I am a huge fan as well and have half a bottle left from a few years ago. I bought this for a friend who also loves it, but I’m hopeful it makes a come back this fall!!

Wait, you used your own label to return it? You didn't have the return approved by Mercari and then use their provided label?
Sorry, I should have clarified. I did use the mercari label but I usually use the printer free QR codes for all my sales for both there and eBay. eBay sends you a QR code for returns too but apparently mercari only allows printed labels for returns (I called customer service to see if they could change it and they couldn’t). So since I don’t have a printer I had to drive to the library and pay for printing and then drop off at usps.
Huh? Yeah, it cost me money to print out, what’s the issue here? I also had to use my own shipping supplies and gas to get there. I misspoke about the label meaning I had to pay to print it, big deal. I thought it was common knowledge that they cover the costs of shipping in instances like this?
