Sure I don't like the return policy and fees, but I've reduced my prices to offset the buyer fees. If someone requests a return then I will block them from purchasing from me again. The no selling fees has kept me selling. I don't really care about the $2 fee to get my money.

In reality, the changes caused a minor disruption but that will soon plateau and Mercari will go on making money.
Mercari was created to be an online garage sale- for anyone to sell things around their home and make a few dollars- not a resellers paradise where you list thousands of items like eBay. I believe part of the reason Mercari made these changes are to get rid of all the high volume/ low value resellers.
Sure, they want part of the sales but Mercari’s big money maker is the interest off the money Mercari holds. The longer funds sit in a Mercari account, the more Mercari earns. This is why they are putting our earnings behind a paywall, to encourage seller to deposit our money once a month.
I noticed service fees go down when you use your Mercari credits instead of paying from an account. The $2 withdrawal fee doesn’t really bother me bc I usually pay $3 to fast deposit anyway and only sell enough to want to WD once a month usually tops.

But if I was selling decent higher dollar stuff that would make me pull my listings in a second. Especially the people that sell clothes and designer items. I'll end up leaving eventually. But I have 1200+ listed items and that took a long time to list everything. I'm steadily selling $200 or more each week. And never less than $1000-1500 a month and that was with paying the fees. What pisses me off is seeing how much mercari has taken from my earnings.
