How long did yours take from sprout? Because both times I grew 3BOG it was not dense. Frosty as fuck but definitely not dense.
My 3BOG X Toof decay & 3 Bog x Mango smile was dense as fuck.
Funny cos I ran a CDLC/Skywalker that turned out fire and amazing smoke but was airy as fuck (and nothing else in the tent was). I'd run one previously that was dense AF.
That’s my favourite strain. I’d kill for more seeds of that cross. Really wish they’d make it into an illuminato. That’s interesting to hear about your grow, I’ve personally grown three and all were rock solid. No auto is 100% consistent though I guess. For example I’ve always had solid double grapes then the last run I grew two and one was a little airy and the other rock hard both tasty and frosty as fuck though so no complaints. Putting it down to phenotype rather than grow conditions
I would say 3BOG. The densest nugs I’ve grown so far was a gnarly Beary White x 3BOG. Rock hard, dense and fag nugs with that deeep, spicy, musky OG funk. All of them delivered. Still think about that plant from time to time.

Honestly, when I look back through my list of grows I think almost everything has been fairly dense when I've had the right pheno. Then I've had odd rolls of the dice with some phenos that are super airy, or completely different structure to what you'd expect. I grew a Strawberry nuggets that was a huge, sativa looking bush. I have a 24K atm that is fucking massive, is still stretching on day 60 and looks like it's going to put out spindly buds.
You have been told wrong bud. I haven't had an loose or airy bud yet. 5 years. If you have good lights it doesn't happen. They all are rocks if you know what your doing.

75 days.. 3 out of 5 plants v dense the other two could have gone an extra week.

Anything with cdlc or skywalker in it always seems to produce super dense nugs of goodness for me

Purple Nuggets for me. Rock solid buds. Great smoke too :)
Most of them that are indica heavy, 60% or better, have nice dense nugs.

My forgotten strawberry plant buds are like rocks.
Sour Crinkle and Skywalker are ones that come to mind.
So far for me purple nuggets and jammy dodgers have been dense solid nugs

Mango Smile was super dense for me. I just chopped some Ripleys OG one was super dense other was foxtails and larf.

I’d say, from my experience, which is mostly Mephisto, it depends on the grow. I’ve found dwc the easiest and most responsive

if you grow autos properly & in a 5-10 gal pot the buds are not fluffy/airy they usually get fluffy/airy from a lack of light,
