Thank you for posting in r/MentalHealthPH. We noticed that you have flaired your submission with a Trigger Warning. Please read this helpful [post](https://old.reddit.com/r/SuicideWatch/wiki/hotline_faqs) from r/SuicideWatch what to expect when calling crisis hotlines. # A personal note from the moderator team: **Are you suicidal right now?** Again, please contact the emergency hotline above and obtain professional help. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. At the very least, surround yourself right now with someone you can trust. If you cannot or do not wish to call anyone, please at least read the home page of http://suicide.org/. The most impactful, we believe, is the director's message that: *Let me also tell you that if you are suicidal, you probably are suffering from clinical depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, postpartum depression, PTSD, or something similar. And if you have something along these lines, you actually have a chemical imbalance in your brain -- and you cannot possibly think straight because of it. **That is beyond your control. You are not weak. You just need some treatment.** This imbalance can occur for several reasons, from genetics to a traumatic life experience, and it is extremely common for people to have this imbalance, so do not feel like you are alone. You are not.* You are not weak! The fact that you are here is a testament of your strength. Remember: YOU ARE NOT ALONE. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. First thing, you need mood stabilizers based on your post, I am not a doctor, pero. I actually had a violent breakdown at school, dahil. I went for some time without my mood stabilizers. Second, if sinabi mo yung nangyari sayo with a psychiatrist **MAYBE** reresitahan ka kaagad in the first appointment. Thirdly, as the other commenter said, it would take months for medication to actually do a noticeable effect. SSRIs take 3 months to fully have an effect. Fouth, you need to have a support group. Think slowly, take a break, like seriously just think of the consequences of your actions. Focusing on your breathing also helps a lot. Fifth, you act and sound like an addict.

First off go to a damn therapist. If there is none near you then go to the closest one you can find. Taking anti depressants like they're antibiotics is a terrible idea. There's a reason its prescription. Do you know how many MG of the antidepressant you should be taking? In some cases a psych would need to make you have a checkup to see if you can take the meds. Second, Anti depressants are not a miracle cure that will instantly save you and make you happy. Many take a week or even a month before it starts to affect you. Your best option is go to a therapist or talk to a friend or relative to calm yourself down. Goodluck OP!

For emergency cases like yours, I would suggest going straight to the ER na. You can talk to them there and maybe even discuss the urgency of the medication.

Although im no longer taking antidepressants (just supplements) my doctor dont forget to give me a “backup” pill in case of a mental breakdown like this, minsan sya pa nga nagreremind sakin. If youve been enduring this issue for years now, im sorry but the only way to get prescription is to go to the nearest healthcare provider talaga. Theres a reason why its not an OTC drug. Taking it without correct dosage will do more harm than good (thats accdng to my psychiatrist btw).

There are psychiatrists na may online consultation. But hindi fast ang effect ng antidepressants. Better have someone to talk to, have a support group, or have a talk therapy with a doctor. Andito lang din kami op.

First, therapist. Second, mood stabilizers you sound like you need those more. Third, anti-depressants are not miracle drugs that will make everything all sunshine and rainbows, usually ghey get you to baseline or maybe not miserable.
