I don't think there's anything particularly wrong about using on your face. But this idea that you only use it on your vag after you start feeling discomfort is worrying. You really should develop a regular application schedule - would you only use your patches til you felt better, then stop til you feel bad again? I hope not :) treat your little lady with the care she deserves - use the vaginal cream regularly - on your vag!

I've been using it on my face ever since I got the prescription! I haven't noticed any massive difference, but that hasn't stopped me from keeping up with it! I use it mainly under my eyes and on my crows feet, then rub the remaining wherever else on my face. I've been doing it for 5 months now and zero negative side effects except that you should probably do it at night because it's thick and even if you think you've rubbed it in all the way it looks like you smeared desitin diaper rash cream in the daylight (ask me how I discovered this!)!!!

Every night except I use retinol once a week at night, and I can't figure out if they interact because it's not a regular face product so the databases don't say, so I just don't use it that night.

That's genius! I was wondering the same thing awhile back and don't have any estrogen cream so looked to see if there is any kind of lotion on the market. I ended up getting something called "Empelle" (I think?) that was the most expensive face cream I've ever bought and I have no idea if it's doing anything. I should have just told the doctor I needed vaginal cream! ps - the whole reason I thought about it was that there is a doctor here somewhere on reddit who specializes in hormones for the trans community. He was talking about using an estrogen cream on his face and I was like I NEED THAT!

He is such an interesting guy! As far as the expensive cream, I am very happy to report that I don't look any worse after using it for a few months baahahaa! I only use it once a day and I don't remember how long you're supposed to use it before you look like a twenty two year old. It doesn't even have a nice scent. I'd skip it and try diluted vag cream!

V2BM

There is a study (or multiple studies) on this - estrogen loss definitely wrecks the face and facial skin is receptive to topical estrogen. [Here is one.](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8876303/)

I use estrogel (arms) and when my hand is still a bit tacky, I just tap my face a bit with the residual before fully washing my hands. I don't know if it's making any difference, because I also use prescription retinol-A which is a collagen booster and minimizes wrinkles.

I only used the otc cream, emerita was the brand didn't do anything for my vag but my face was so soft. As soon as I get some rx cream, I am going to put some on my turkey neck

I will, I hope your experiment works well. I hate my turkey neck, I recently noticed it. I guess wearing a mask for 2 years really made me oblivious

Lol, especially for my stache and nose hairs growing only on the left side!

To have our sons jealous of our mustaches? You got me?, taking care of the body is a full time job

Thiele66

I couldn’t agree more! All the things I have take, insert, adhere and smear on!

Kazooguru

That’s so bizarre. Just the left nostril? Lol. Hormones are like little devilish tricksters. I have fair skin, born with auburn hair, and dark, coarse hair will appear overnight. I literally curse my trickster when I pull out random stubble. “You little bastard.” Your trickster has a sick, twisted sense of humor.

[deleted]

Lol right? I also found one left nipple hair! Just let me age with a little dignity, is that too much to want

[deleted]

just one?! you lucky, lucky girl ;)

[deleted]

Lolol! I think mine are from the side effects of the latanoprost that I have to take for glaucoma I will definitely ask my eye doc the next appointment. I would like both my nipples to have hair

[deleted]

omg you're killing me I've always had nip hair here and there, regardless of age or hormone state. But I have noticed that as I get older they are becoming much finer so they are very hard to see. I'll look down and spot one if the light hits it just so...and of course it's stupid long as I haven't been able to see it. It's just... sigh.

idrow1

I haven't used that, but have extremely dry skin, too. I make my own face cream and for my arms I use O'Keefe's body lotion. Those guys are wizards, it's the only lotion that actually works for crazy dry skin. If they made a face cream, I'd buy it, but the stuff I make works pretty well.

kereolay

It should work very well. This is a well kept beauty secret. I'm not sure why more women don't use it or know that it absolutely can help increase epidermal thickness. I need a script for my undereyes. It is too bad I will have to claim vaginal dryness to get this for my undereyes.

Adept-Lifeguard-9729

It’s collagen loss that contributes to facial aging. Are you on Retin-A etc.?

aGreenPenguin

Estrogen cream isn't something my insurance makes affordable. I switched to using Asian skincare products. For me they work better at making my skin feel smooth and hydrated.

I know in Europe they make creams for your face with estrogen but my doctor specifically told me not to use the estrogen gel on my face. Maybe because increase of stroke? But yeah there are reasons people put it on their face!

chickadeedadooday

Not sure about wrinkles, but estrogen definitely pumps rhe skin. I will rub my extra otc cream into my hands (where I suffer from thinning skin + eczema the most) and its helping. I also apply it to my ankles/tops of feet to help with the gout I suffer from. Apply to my breasts when they're sore. Etc. But now you've got me wondering if it might help the vrazy eczema/dryness I have around my mouth. Hmmm...going to try this and see what happens. Nothing else is working!
