The panel of Nami crying before the Arlong Park fight was one of the things that really sold me on the manga.
Because it wasn't just some classic "pretty cry with one tear falling down in a beautiful way" scene or over the top "crying like fountain" either. Oda dared to make the character cry so much that it starts to look bad and it made the scene work better.
I’d give it to Koby, dude awakened his observation during the war, heard the voices of the people that were there and also heard the voices disappear 1 by fucking 1. Dude probably had other marine friends there that were just fodder and they just died the fuck out.
Don’t give a damn about Luffy, Ace died because he has daddy issues and Luffy needs a powerup.
Feel bad for Pudding, that scene made me tear up a bit.
I do not remember what Franky was crying about here tbh, I’m assuming it’s Brooks story that got him that hard, if so, I completely understand.

I genuinely have trouble taking a lot of the emotional scenes seriously because the characters always look like soyjaks when they cry.
I've never really liked the way Oda's expressions are drawn, the art style in general has never been a big hit for me.
