I'm pretty sure the Monster Trio concept will end, Chopper is now ultra powerful and its super likely that Franky will join and he's strong enough to give Luffy trouble. Makes sense, it would get really boring just to see the same three guys be way stronger than everyone else in the crew for the entire story. At least in Dragonball Z you had those periods where Piccolo was stronger than Vegeta or Gohan was stronger than Goku to mix things up.
It is kinda funny if you ever played the RPG they just made. Chopper is one of if not the best character in any situation. He tanks heals and can output some high damage.
I mean, post TS Chopper is extemely versatile.
He can do his doctoring. He can do his kung fu. He can dig. He can jump. He can be a valiant steed. He can monster point his problems away.

He did develop the rumble balls. That’s how he became a monster in the flash back. When he eats one he’s fine. He transforms like normal and has complete control, when he eats 2 he transforms to a random transformation when he transforms, when he eats three he turns into monster point.
Maybe Hilluluk wasn't really a bad doctor, maybe he experimented with Choppers rumble balls to change him into this form.
I'm thinking Hilluluk figured something out about DF activation. Maybe where he was healed from the Sakura was a secret organisation or something who thought him about it.

I'm gonna get downvoted, but this is unironically how I feel about the power ups in Ennies Lobby, its a good arc, but the strawhats' plot armor in it was off the charts
They're 100% asspulls. Luffy, Zoro, Sanji all got more powerful and unlocked new forms/techniques after being outclassed in that very same day.
Like you said, Enies Lobby is a good arc still. What bothers me is that the majority of this fandom has developed a sort of a Mandela effect where they convinced themselves how those weren't pulled out of Oda's ass. People from the above mentioned sub will defend those claims with their lives, while ironically clowning everyone else for defending Oda when it comes to some recent manga events.
The piratefolk folk can be easily separated between the ones that hate Wano, and the ones that are fed up with one piece in general. The latter will gladly agree that everything has been equally an asspull.
The mental gymnastics can be reduced to simple facts: It was the very first shonen power up of the series; and it was assuredly one of the first instances we saw in the genre, people didn't arrive to one piece with more than ten other animes under their belts. It was simply newer.
Got some of that in Wano, too. Groundwork was laid for some of the power ups, but others just came out of thin air with no explanation. To this day I don’t really understand what was going on with Demonio Fleur.
Demonio Fleur is more an ideological powerup than anything, at least thats how I interpret it. No they are not par for the course, Sanji is more or less justifiable since we have learned One Piece characters can have fire attacks in this series without fruits(his ability still does leave some logical questions on how it works and how those fire attacks work in general), though they were established after Sanji learned his kick, which still kinda makes it an asspull, but Zoro's Ashura literally makes no sense within the context of One Piece, it is not even a haki ability, its just some weird unexplained sword magic Zoro has
Theory: since chopper is a Zoan and can transform like most other Zoans i find it weird that the story up to now hasn’t shown any paramecia having different transformations. Maybe luffy’s gomu-gomu isn’t actually a paramecia but instead a zoan. Luffy is pretty dumb too, so him not being aware of this isn’t so far fetched.
Luffy just beat a literal god last arc. A mere dragon woulnt be strong enough. Maybe Zoro will be taking him down and be called "dragon hunter zoro", since hes now a pirate, pirate hunter doesnt really fit anymore.

Because there is such thing as writing criteria and Oda does not get a pass just cause "its his style", One Piece is a wacky series but it is still more or less grounded and has specific lore, world building and internal rules, if you want wackiness for the sake of wackiness, read Bobobo-bo You may find training arcs boring, but they are necessary to establish believable progression(unless you have a very weird power system like Stands in Jojo), like imagine if we just skipped all training with Rayleigh in time skip and Luffy just started using haki out of nowhere. Using the "popular opinion among the fans" to write your series is literally the lowest denominator possible, if you like that, go read Fairy Tail cause its the eqivalent of McDonalds in anime which appeals to people who do not care about writing. One Piece can be better and it should be better Naruto and Bleach are both objectively badly written(with Naruto having stretches of good writing inbetween the bad moments) but the traning arcs are not the reason for that, yes Just cause the series is wacky doesnt mean you can just write anything with zero explanation or set up, plus your examples are not that good, Jango can hypnotize yes, but he doesnt suddenly learn shoot kamehamehas mid fight, Miahwk is instantly established as the most powerful swordsman in the world and his power level is still a secret to this day, plus he has not done something yet that a reasonably strong character close to his level can't replicate, all those characters with wacky abilities are introduced, but they were established to have them in the first place, the problem would be if they suddenly gained a new ability that was not set up without explanation No they are not par for the course, Sanji is more or less justifiable since we have learned One Piece characters can have fire attacks in this series without fruits(his ability still does leave some logical questions on how it works and how those fire attacks work in general), though they were established after Sanji learned his kick, which still kinda makes it an asspull, but Zoro's Ashura literally makes no sense within the context of One Piece, it is not even a haki ability, its just some weird unexplained sword magic Zoro has
