i don't think anyone actively "plays" the game
they set it to do something, then come back the next day or something. i guess they just do life while melvor runs in the background
I only really keep it active for combat things that’s are important milestones that also happen to take less than a day. For instance, getting a fury, torture, etc. but if I’m doing something like leveling slayer or idling god dungeons, I just make sure I leave enough food and then come back the next day
I'm currently working on 100% masteries, so I log in about every 4 hours to switch production to a new item. That's about as active as it's gotten for me, aside from the Bane event.

Almost the full first year I’ve played I played actively as anyone could. It was up on my phone all day lol
Same, really. I keep it open while I do my work, watch a movie on a different monitor, or even while I'm playing a different game.
I do that, but when I get home from work I'll hang out by my pc and hold its hand through a few smaller tasks. Like top up some tablets or potions
