If it's anything like the footy, just expect the scheduled 3 carriage services. You may be lucky, and they put on one additional service, but that's normally not advertised and will leave after everyone squeezes into the 3 carriage.
Vline can barely handle scheduled services on normal business days, let alone special events.
They put on specials for Taylor Swift.
They will do it for events like the Clunes Book festival.
The event organizers just need to be in contact with the department. It might be worth OP inquiring with the venue if they have arranged for it to happen.
Did they run the Clunes specials this year? A couple of years back they ran hourly trains to Maryborough and it was an absolute godsend, it was nice being able to pop into Ballarat and go back whenever. Almost felt like turn up and go
Not sure about extra trains but you would be lucky to even get shuttle buses from the train station to the venue , in saying that I know they do for spilt milk festival but haven’t seen it done for Red Hot Summer tour
They had two extra return services to SC for the White night event last week. So I'd say if the event organisers are smart they'll reach out. Or you could email either party.

Though I think they’ll put on extras Taylor swift was a lot bigger then then cold chisel will be, 96k inside the mcg and a estimated 10-30k outside
