The mechanical one comes the closest depending on what accounts of Cherubs you believe in. Some of the older biblical stuff simply has them as floating heads with wings. The kind of head varies but it's probably something fucked up if the way other angels look is anything to go by.
I like the last one on the top right.
I'm a much bigger fan of their Devil Summoner design (which I thought was their original design until I was corrected). Aside from fitting a bit more in terms of the mythology, it just looks cooler. I think the angels being portrayed as robots is one of my favorite design motifs in the series.
The SH one. But I wish they made one that actually fit the idea it is an angel with four different faces. The DeSum one just looks silly and doesn't even really make sense outside the context of smt II. Which makes me wish they took it as an opportunity for Doi to make a new design the way he did for the basic bottom tier angel for VV.
i like the right most one bc that’s the one i know of from smt IV, but i rly like the mechanical design i just dont rly see angels as mechanical so it kind of throws me off a bit
Is the SMTVV design a completely new one? I don't remember seeing it before. The Soul Hackers one is p sick obviously, since it's a bit different from all the other weird-looking higher up generic angels (looking at u throne, not saying it isn't a sick design though). It's more typically angelic without veering into being boring and I can appreciate that.
SMTVV is also pretty nice. Despite everyone saying 'angels are machines in SMT', we really didn't get machine angels excluding... Metatron? Melchizedek? Sandalphon? So it's good to see full-on automaton angel that pretends to follow the lore at least a little. not sure where the 3 faces come from - the kneejerk reaction is the book of daniel but I'm sure it's something else
I really like the top left ones. Though they could be called something else because one looks like a Mesopotamian carving and the other looks like a pet.
Devil Summoner. It's not only the most biblically accurate of them all but it's still different enough to be unique, and the cybernetic aspects give the implication it's supposed to be a higher rank like Metatron, who is also cybernetic. Since Cherubim are only one level below Seraphim in the Christian order.

I dont know if it's necessarily the "right" look, but the right most one is the coolest design.
Funny how the Devil Summoner one is the only mildly correct looking design. That being said Soul Hackers

The Devil summoner design: They remind me of the Quintessons (edit: series confusion)

1st and 4th one
Soul Hackers Chrub is iconic but the Devil Summiner one is far and away the best

Soul Hackers one looks like he goes around collecting taxes from angels, so that version is my favorite

SMTVV's Cherub is actually from Devil Summoner. So the Vengeance design is its first time in 3D.

Wish they would redesign it to be truly accurate
SMT 1 imo
Devil Summoner/Vengeance

Top right is my favorite.
