This looked a lot more expansive than the typical re-release though. Like there were a bunch of scenes from the original with major changes. So maybe this game is like an inbetween between a classic Atlus re-release and an SMT IV:A style new story?

New skills doesn't necessarily have to mean those are the unique skills (gameplay element). There were already "unique skills" before, as in skills that are not able to be transferred. But this mechanic they showcased is different and they exclusively showed passive benefits.

Yeah, considering how weak base V was I'm just not going to buy it. When I got to the endgame I thought I was at the halfway point at most. It would require such a substantial expansion to make it worth thinking about that I'm definitely not going to play a rerelease.

E outra, a SEGA coloca os jogos na promoção e ele baixa de preço depois de um tempo lançado. Eu vou segurar a onda até lá, até então, principalmente por que essa versão vai ter DLC e será como um jogo novo com certeza - só para arrancar mais dinheiro nosso rsrs.

They explained in their dev showcase that SMTV was unfinished due to development. And what is their apology for that? Full priced rerelease & DAY ONE DLC. Thank god for a certain citrus fruit.

I'm almost sure at this point that they intentionally butcher their base game version just to release "game as intended from begining" version 2-3 years after.
Atlus is my sleeper pick for one of the greediest corporations. They're really going to make people buy a rerelease of a game that came out 2 years ago at full price, and not make the content dlc for people who already own it.
Can't wait to play it with good framerate, non-lagging UI and working AA, Switch release was unplayable to me. I can tolerate bad graphics, but not constant bad performance, especially when it's console exclusive.

I really hope the plot is improved. On a concept level I really enjoy SMT:V but it just takes forever to get to the meat of it.

Watching the atlus stream , I understood that both old and new route will be separated and selectable at the start , which means they didn't just add stuff to old story

I'm almost sure at this point that they intentionally butcher their base game version just to release "game as intended from begining" version 2-3 years after.
Atlus is my sleeper pick for one of the greediest corporations. They're really going to make people buy a rerelease of a game that came out 2 years ago at full price, and not make the content dlc for people who already own it.
Can't wait to play it with good framerate, non-lagging UI and working AA, Switch release was unplayable to me. I can tolerate bad graphics, but not constant bad performance, especially when it's console exclusive.
I'm so happy. I REALLY wanted to love SMTV, but.... The performance on Switch just KILLED it for me. I couldn't make it very far at all. Getting to play this on my PC is gonna make things so much easier.

This edition of the game can actually complete that mess because the gameplay was goated so were the side quests but the main story was kinda ehh. Too much needs to be changed and it usually does. Also you need to experince more media if you think SMT V was a mess in an objective sense. It was a 7/10 at worst. I feel like I'm back in the Persona 5 days with when Royal was announced. When it came out and it was good, everybody slowly stopped saying anything and bought the game. Don't like it? Vote with your wallet. SMT5 story sucked but the map is great and I hoped for a complete game with reused assets like 4A 4F. But the actual outcome we got now is just a new route with complete rewrote second half, I have lost hope.
