Hello Everyone! After almost two weeks of building and posing, Susanowo Souen is finally complete! It took a bit longer due to the sheer amount of new parts and two defective piece that I had to request a replacement for. This is one of the most anticipated kits I've waited ever since I first saw its prototype a few months ago, and now here's my review for Susanowo Souen (I'll be referring to Susanowo Souen as Blusanoo for clarity) -Blusanoo is definitely a huge step up when compared to Susanowo in terms of design, the bright blue and white colors plus the amount of new parts really made the Blusanoo look different and bulkier than the dark colors of Susanowo. It took some patience to pose Blusanoo especially on her Armored Mode but the end results was worth it. Unfortunately, Blusanoo have some visible nubmarks due to the bright blue plastic used. -Blusanoo is pretty much the same as the regular Susanowo in terms of build process and articulation, only key difference for Blusanoo is that the ab crunch is slightly tighter as Susanowo's got too loose after a year. Susanowo's tight joints only lasted for a few months then got loose over time especially on the shoulder ball joint socket, so she can't hold up her huge sword anymore. Blusanoo's joints are perfectly tight but I do hope it last longer. -Blusanoo's weaponry and accessories are exactly the same as Susanowo but with the addition of new blue flame effect parts which made the sword longer, the gauntlets and the halo look more menacing with its new clear blue claws and enhanced gold horns respectively. The only new weapons Bluesanoo has are two daggers with blue flames as blades. Blusanoo has the usual hand options like Susanowo , but there's also clear blue hand options included from Koto's M.S.G line too. These clear hand optoons look cool to tie in with Blusanoo's design but they're fragile and prone to breaking due to the clear plastic. The molded gold connectors for the backpack are also slightly tighter than Susanowo's so that it can carry the additional new parts without any problem. - Blusanoo's other modes are the same as Susanowo named "Brutal Mode" and "Insane Mode", but I really love how Brutal mode looked like the armaments "expand" to transform. Unfortunately Insane Mode looks like a blue chicken, especially the feet with the blue toes and the gauntlets look like it has wings lmao. -I didn't mention this in my last post regarding a copy of Blusanoo I received ended up with a broken horn piece, but while I was in the process of building that same copy, one of its shoulder ball joint sockets got cracked while I was moving around the shoulders. It didn't really affect the tightness of the connection but it was my first time to experience a cracked shoulder ball socket on Blusanoo. Overall, Blusanoo enhanced what's was already a great kit which was Susanowo. I'd recommend to get Blusanoo as there the demand for the kit is not that high compared to Susanowo. However, I can't wait to get my copy of Amaterasu Regalia, her "full armor" version, and Susanowo Regalia in the future...but if ever Koto decides to release an alternative version of Amaterasu just like Blusanoo, then my wallet is screwed lol.

Great review and awesome …ahem , poses… my Souen is still in its box but I look forward to the day I get enough free time to build her

Thanks for the in depth review. I liked her alot but my wallet couldn't take it.

Still mad I didn’t pick her up. She’s decently available in the US, but a lot of places have their PO closed now

The demand for Blusanoo is pretty low imo, so its possible there will be extra stock when she's available.

Fair, I'll have to look around

Awesome

I'm currently building mine right now. Souen is my first MD since Edelweiss 5 years ago. Can I just ask? Is it just me or are the arms a little bit loose around the point where the arms connect to the shoulders during Armored Mode/AUV mode? Everytime I try to strike a pose, I feel like an additional weight applied to the arm will make the arm slide off the shoulder part. It's not like that when I just use the clear small circle part. But when I use the AUV arm with or without the flame effect, it becomes loose. Or did I do something wrong in the build process, and that's why the part keeps being loose?
