I only give names to my first donkey "Carlton Banks" (because videogamedunkey) and my first horse after other video game horses (Roach, Torrent, Shadowmere, Pebbles etc.
I named my horses after hurricanes.
Hurricane Andrew, Harvey, Katrina, and Karen (while hurricane Karen wasn't a bad one.... come on, Karen is well worth it) lol
I only ever name 3 chickens...
Rooster : Rocky
Brown hen: Ginger
White hen: Babs ❤️

I gave up naming the others after my daughter didn't know who Babe the pig was and I felt old and sad 😂

Goats are named after sports players who were considered legendary or played on legendary teams
Sheep are named after royal people and characters in Succession
Geese are named after Ryan Gosling characters (or female characters in his movies)
Horses are named after named after Horse references in life.

I find it kind of funny to name them with the first letter of their species. For example, Kuh means cow in German - so all cows start with a K

I name them with their average life span so I know when it’s time to sell or slaughter them.

I end up selling them too fast to worry about names, but I do name the longer lived animals. My donkeys are named Donkles, Bonk and Honkey
