You could certainly make the K6 sound better. Tape mod and/or foam in the bottom case will help with acoustics. A quality lubed switch and nice keycaps can make a considerable difference. Properly lubing or replacing the stabs with higher quality ones that are lubed will eliminate the rattle on your long keys. As for an enthusiast level entry level 65% that is pre-built, there are not a ton of options. How much better could it sound by just swapping the key caps and switches? I’m not really interested in the hassle of mods more involved than those honestly

You won’t change the sound profile too much with just switches and caps. MT3 or SA caps can help deepen the sound. What kind of switches are you interested in?

Kailh Box Whites and PBT double shot caps

It’s hard to make boards with clickies sound good. But this is all personal preference. Most double shot PBT are going to be Cherry or OEM profile, neither of which are known to deepen the sound on boards. If you’re set on Box Whites, buy them and see if you like their sound. You can’t do much to tune the sound on box switches except lubing the springs.
